Welp, it's finally time to say goodbye to Timeless Travels. The season was pretty good to us in a lot of ways, but its time has at last passed, and a new season is rising just as Spring prepares to take hold of the northern hemisphere. While we don't have any big, recurring events like Go Fest or Go Tour on the schedule unless Niantic springs something new on us, we do have a few new Pokemon releases and 

Season Highlights

We most likely will have quite a bit going on throughout this season, much of which has not yet been revealed. However, this is what we can expect based on the official World of Wonders page:

  • A Special Research line will be available that will unlock over the course of the season.
  • Poipole will make its debut in Pokemon Go this season
    • It's worth noting that Poipole's evolution, Naganadelis not referenced. This could mean that it will not be able to evolve right away, or it could 
  • The release of Charcadet and its evolutions, as we've already reported on.
  • The debut of Shadow variants of Entei, Suicune, and Raikou
  • Shadow Mewtwo Raids are also eluded to in the trailer above, but not officially confirmed.
  • Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre are also shown in the trailer above.
  • A Paid Wonder Ticket will be available that will unlock additional bonuses such as Timed Research, Avatar Items, and Pokmon Encounters throughout the season
  • Increased damage dealt when raiding with Friends
  • +1 Free Raid pass every day from Gyms
  • Increased XP rewards when defeating One and Three Star Raids
  • A new set of seasonal Breakthrough encounters:
  • A new set of Pokemon will appear in different areas more frequently for the season:
  • A new set of Pokemon will be hatching from Eggs. We're updated out Eggs List to reflect this, though the list is stated to be incomplete on the official Season Page
  • Many Pokemon moveset changes and Go Battle League updates, which we will cover in a different article.
