Who needs DC?

Putting this in a seperate post.
For teams where you already have a ranged counter and just need the great wall of Nohr to block the way.

52 def /46 res when defending against melee + guard effect.
God ss4 makes so many slow units a lot more safer to use.

Water Breath is great for armored dragons as they can use Vengeful/Bold Fighter to compensate for not having a Breath skill.

I think he should go for a Lightning Breath and SB/WB build. Also you’ve given him SS4 which is very rare, are you willing to give up guard and +8 Def for DC?

The big difference is the sheer bulk vs counter damage
Even not counting seals, that's 46/40 vs 42/36
And counting seals bumps anti-melee Garon up to 52/46.

Not good allround, but great if you want a wall.
Sure, there's the option of using armored units, but don't underestimate the power of mobility.

quicker specials, +2 atk, +4 def, +4 res

If you want to make him a melee wall, he needs all the stats he can get.
Still, if anything is changed, Lightning breath is hardly a bad option. But he can't bulk up stats for both ranges because he has to choice either close or distant def as seal.
