Analysis
If Aegis units arriving, only to be overshadowed one banner later by better tanking units, Manticores, was a meme, Dinergates were destined for disappointment, thanks to the introduction of their armored brethren, Tarantulas in the same banner. While you may be tempted by their low cost to unleash an army of small, ankle-biting death upon your foes, the results will likely disappoint, even when combined with Intruder.
Dinergates manage to find the worst collection of traits, combining low HP, melee attack style, and no Armor, and poor survivability tools. Their Skill, Reinforcement of the Meek, tries to fix this, providing an HP shield whenever they lose a Dummy Link. This HP of this shield matches the HP of a single Link (64-70 HP at Level 100), and has on a short duration. The second part of this Skill works to make up for the loss of Dummy links, by summoning reinforcements every 10 (6 at SL5) Attacks. The number of reinforcements starts at 1, and increases with each Dummy Link lost. Each reinforcement unit has 60% of the Dinergates stats, rising to 100% at SL5, and will last for up to 10 seconds. This summons can be seen as a minor DPS boost, as they will always add a Dinergate to the field, but are unlikely to last long, and thus only delay the inevitable for the Dinergate.
Overall, Dinergates are a niche unit who are all but completely overshadowed by their bigger, badder, cuter sibling. Keep one for the novelty if you wish, but otherwise, devote your resources to Tarantulas.
