2nd week of playing... Which 5* should I be trying for

Been playing for one week and after unlocking most features I'm stuck with this team:
1st: FAL, M4A1, AR-15, Skorpion, UMP45
2nd: M14, Grizzly, Springfield, Welrod, PPK
(got Thompson and NTW-20 in bench)
I'm already running out of cores just getting those to 4 dummy link, so for the following month or two I can probably only afford one more 5* gun. With that said, which 5* gun type I would benefit the most that I should try to roll with daily rolls? A better AR with g41/g11, better smg with Vector, another good HG like Calico, or a better rifle like WA2000? Opinions?

It's really personal preference depending on which kind of echelon you're focusing on leveling first (AR/SMG or HG/RF). Going by your current teams, replacing Skorpion (with Vector, SR-3MP) and Springfield (with Lee Enfield, SVD, WA2000) would be the optimal choices.

Do note that all of your current units are all at least decent or better (given you have Springfield's exclusive ammo), so again, it comes down to your personal preference as to which class you want to focus on crafting.

Story T-dolls are your best buddy. Invest all your cores to M4A1, AR-15 then M16 (for later 0-2) until you can, with the help of your friends to rush the story and clear 4-3E. After that just go with AR-15/M4A1 + U45 for leveling and core farming.
4-3E is a better core farm compare to 0-2 since all 4 nodes in 4-3E have 3* T-dolls in their drop deck while 0-2 only has 2.
For 5*, go for FAL (P2P from the start), she has high damage output and her skills works very well against large group of enemies.
Another common 5* are 416, which has the highest drop chance for 97/404/404/97 recipe. Although her skill is somewhat not very well synchronized.
The best investment for 5* is either G11 or Type 97 for DPS.
