So, the big burning question I have right now is whether or not I should replace Thompson as the main tank in this formation. Her low evasion doesn't seem like a big enough problem at the moment and her being beefy is nice when doing boss runs, but I heard rumors that shield SMGs don't fare very well in later chapters (I've cleared Ch.7 and got RO, who I might swap Thompson out for).
P/S: All five members are at level 100/skill 10
Well, for tanks, your best option is UMP45 since her skill (Smoke Grenade) and her stat is very good for a tank. If you want a slightly better version of Thompson you can use G36C. RO is a very good choice for a tank with her borderline OP skill, but her aura buff is quite bad.
I'm sure you knew all of this, right?
But hey, you play the game the way you like. Waifu > Stats, that's all I would say.

It's not as if Thompson is bad per se, it's just that I find shield SMGs to be quite iffy in general due to their long initial cooldown. I've been training both UMP45 and RO to tank since both of their kits look nice, but they're both a long way from level 100, so I guess we'll know it when it happens.
But still, Thompson has a special place in my heart :D that's why my first ring went to her and I've never looked back.
Simple answer: Yes.
Tompson rarely if ever gets to actually use her skill due to the initial cd, and her evasion is really low for a tank. As Ritz said, UMP45, UMP9, RO, MP7 are some of the strong choices, but anyone else is better really.
I'm building both RO and UMP45 right now since their kits look better than Thompson's. Other than that, my options are quite limited since I don't have a lot of "quality" SMGs to use.
There aren't alot of "quality" SMGs. Even outside EN there haven't been many great smg's released. It's basically UMP45 (with or without mod) and RO
Also I would consider that both of your ARs REALLY appreciate rof buff tiles because they buff their own damage so we'll. SR3.MP, ump 9, or especially Shipka would fit extremely well though Shipka would have to take the mid tank position and grizzly would have to be behind her. This isn't bad except Grizzly wouldn't get WA2000's buff tiles but that isn't that big a deal.
