Gains a mark when she changes targets. When Hyper Trigger is activated, grant all DEFY members a mark. When DEFY members attack, each mark deals an additional 10% damage that is guaranteed to hit and can crit. Marks last 5 seconds and can stack up to 3 times.

When AK-12 is on the field and her rate of fire reaches its maximum, decrease her rate of fire by 30% and increase her damage by 50%. When her critical chance reaches its maximum, decrease her crit rate by 30% and increase her crit damage by 50%. These effects last for 5 seconds.

T-Doll Analysis

Special Equipment
AN-94 Modernization Kit

AN-94 is an AR with very high base stats and a very strong Skill. Her Skill is broken down into two parts, a passive which always triggers when attacking a new target and an active that has a normal uptime.

As her passive is effective from the very start of the battle, causing her to hit twice when first hitting a new target, it can be amazing for wiping out weak frontline early on, for example while farming.

Her active grants all her attacks this double hit for its duration (she cannot hit more than twice per hit, even while attacking new targets while the Skill is up).

Special Equipment
AN-94 Modernization Kit

AN-94's Mod is good, but very expensive for what it actually does. The recommendation for AN-94 is to either stop at Mod I or Mod III as she gets some decent improvements just from Mod I, while her SPEQ is very good if you intend to go past that.

From Mod I, AN-94's Skill 1 gets an additional second duration, as well as improvements to her already great pre-mod base stats. This is a great stopping point and makes her quite good as both a general use AR and for farming.

From Mod II, AN-94 gets a new Skill which can be broken down into two sections:

  • She can apply Marks to self and other DEFY members (realistically this is AK-15 as the others are not worth fielding), each Mark grants the recepient an additional hit for 10% of damage dealt on attacks. When she triggers her multi-hit with her passive, she grants a stack to herself. When she activates her Skill she grants a stack to all DEFY members, including herself. As the duration of this Mark is lower than her Skill cooldown (and even Skill duration) she will never grant other DEFY members more than 1 stack, while her own Marks can easily stack up to 3 as she wipes out enemies and attacks new targets.
This part of her Skill is very similar to ST AR-15's Mod II Skill and of course, ends up being quite a bit stronger than ST AR-15's due to being able to stack up quite easily.
  • Synergy with AK-12 which is a massive trap, not being worth the attempts to make use of at all.
This part of her Skill is incredibly disappointing and not worth looking into too much more, though details will be in Full Analysis below.

AN-94 Mod III

Great Skill

AN-94's Skill effectively doubles her DPS and also has a passive portion that triggers before her ICD is ready.

Great Stats

AN-94 has well above average base stats.

Weak Against Armor

As AN-94 is a double-hit AR, she effectively loses twice as much damage from Armor.

Multi-Hit on Multi-Hit

AN-94's Mod grants her even more multi-hit, making her even better at wiping out enemies swiftly, preferably with the opportunity to attack new targets frequently.

Even Weaker to Armor

As AN-94's Skill 2 is an additional smaller multi-hit, it will swiftly be reduced to 1 Damage against opponents with even low Armor.

Baits Players With Bad Synergy

The whole AK-12 synergy thing should be entirely ignored and you'll probably have a better echelon by doing so.

Full Analysis

AN-94's Skill 2 synergy with AK-12 is based on AK-12 overcapping her stats and is split into two parts:

Upon reaching maximum RoF, AK-12 gets a 30% RoF penalty and then increases her Damage by 50%. This is very hard to make proper use of, as AK-12 is a Crit-based AR who would prefer a Focus Chip. This means her RoF will be 68 before her Skill, which grants her 35% to DMG/RoF/Acc/Crit and brings her to 91 RoF. As her RoF cap is 150 as of v3.02, this requires significant external RoF buffs, which is just not worth it.

Upon reaching maximum Crit Rate, AK-12 loses 30% Crit Rate and gains 50% Crit Damage. This is slightly more realistic than the RoF section but still requires external buffs. AK-12 has a 20% base Crit Rate and a VFL increases this to 68%. Include her Skill's 35% and you get 91%. An additional Crit Rate buff would be needed to get her past 100% to get the penalty and buff from AN-94.

All in all, this synergy is just not worth trying to use and AN-94 already has a very strong kit on her own, leaving AK-12 where she belongs - as Cores.

MOD Cost

The AN-94, or Avtomat Nikonova 1994, is a 5.45x39mm caliber gas-operated Russian firearm made by PO Izhmash made during Project Abakan. Project Abakan was a Russian assault rifle program that took place from 1980 to 1994 to replace AK-47 with a new Assault Rifle for the Russian Army. Nikonov's ASM prototype defeated many competing designs, including the AEK-971 and Stechkin's TKB-0148.
AN-94s uniqueness is all to facilitate a 2-round hyper burst fire mode that fires two projectiles at approximately 1800 rounds per minute with minimal recoil. The recoil mitigation is due to the barrel, gas tube, receiver, and bolt carrier existing as a single component group that moves along an axis parallel to the bore, suspended within the composite stock. This manner of operation is very similar to the G11 prototype rifle.
However, as a result of its complexity, the AN-94 is incredibly user unfriendly when it comes to maintenance, and thus became unfit to replace the AK-47. Later, AK-12 emerged as the new standard AR for the Russian Army, whereas AN-94 was relegated to Spetsnaz and internal affairs. In-game, this is shown as 94 thinking of herself as inferior and subservient to AK-12.
Fun fact: One of the original names for the rifle was ANA-94. That, and how AN sounds similar to Anna, lead the community to informally nickname her as Anna/Annie.
