Vespids struggle with a few different problems. Statistically, they fail to stand out from the pack and lack any unique facets. They do average Damage, they have middling survivability if pushed onto the front lines, and a weak Skill.

A low multiplier, even when maxed out, means that Vespids can fail to push allies units into a faster frame for firing, even at SL5. The Accuracy boost is generally underwhelming as Coalition units tend to feature high Accuracy, and the poor Duration prior to high Skill levels puts Vespids in an awkward spot.

Finally, their SWAP counterparts will eventually be capturable, leaving Vespids even more useless than before.
