Dev Letter #22 Recap

Welcome to the 22nd iteration of the Touhou Lostword Dev Letter! With how close we are to the anniversary, let's look at some celebrations that we have coming up in store, as well as some neat things we can look back on.

VS L1 Letty Whiterock challenged players, and it shows with its LVL 120 clear rate of 11.72%. With E1 Flandre Scarlet, F1 Koishi Komeiji, and F1 Reimu Hakurei stealing the show for who did the best in the stage, some L1 universe friends like Iku Nagae, Hecatia Lapislazuli, and Yacchie Kicchou were able to carve their own niche in the stage.

On the other hand, we have VS A6 Marisa Kirisame as another stage which people played through. Coming at a clear rate of 14.26% at level 120, it seems like F1 Reimu Hakurei, A6 Reimu Hakurei, and L80 Youmu Konpaku were strong friends to use, with L1 universe utilizing Iku Nagae, Chimata Tenkyuu, and Parsee Mizuhashi.

A brand new event has been announced! Starting with Disciples of the Sword, players can now obtain a Divine Paper Doll at the 500K points milestone and a Relic Disc with 100 Rare Points. Additionally, this event is also notable with one of the cards being really good, providing 1.25P and +2 Accuracy for 1 turn for the user.

L80 Flandre Scarlet has been announced to arrive in the GLB server on April 7, 2023. As a Defense character, she specializes in Star nuking and defensive capabilities to potentially buy the team some extra time to set up. Additionally, the Story Card I'm Alright! provides a powerful 50% boost to both Star and Sharp bullets, while also providing an additional barrier.

There is a community appreciation event that the Developers will run! First, the login for the month will be primarily Seal Crystals. A Forever Prayer, which contains all the A series, General, and Festival pool that have been implemented before December 31st, 2022 will be held from April 21 to May 11, 2023. A banner vote which includes the Scarlet Devil Mansion cast, The main instigators of the Cherry Blossom incident, and other characters like A6 Reimu Hakurei, A6 Marisa Kirisame, A8 Reisen Udongein Inaba, and A9 Aya Shameimaru. Some BGM discs for characters like F1 Koishi and C3 Satori Komeiji will be given out. Super EXP Quest also makes its return, which players should take advantage of to level their friends up or even to farm books. 1/2 Battle Spirit Points campaign will also run for a week with 3x Drop rate and Friend EXP, the latter running for 2 extra weeks after the 1/2 Spirit Points campaign expires. Some packs that players can buy for more Divine Paper Dolls are also being offered. Finally, A prayer roadmap which shows what banners are upcoming, like the return of L80 Remilia Scarlet.
