Dev Letter #29 Recap

Welcome one and all to the final Dev Letter of 2023! This one will be full of Happy and Merry News, some being a look back at some announcements earlier this month, others being in the very present...yes, present, and maybe some Christmas presents too! More on that later. Meanwhile, we also have a miracle and a One of a Kind to look forward to, as well as much more!

In addition, for every 500 reposts on for the Dev Letter announcement, we will get 5 Seal Crystals and 1500 Coins! But with that said, it's that time again for Phantasma and Michael to present to us the Happy and Merry News!

Naturally, we will be getting a new event themed around Christmas time, and once the week of reliving of Okina Matara's Season of Adventure is up and must close its doors, it will be the Season for Family! Yes, 'Tis the Season for Family is our new event that will actually be starting after Christmas Day, but it will be a merry event all the same! And of course, we have some returning appropriate costumes providing some Event Point + Rare Event Point Bonuses, as well as 4 new ones!

Now for our Relic Friend! Here comes our Christmas Present in the form of Sanae Kochiya (Hand in Hand With a Miracle). Available for the rest of the year starting December 22nd, this Attack-Class Friend comes with a new mechanic called "Stored Power" which is dependent on her HP, but more on that below!

Meanwhile, with the Pseudo Shikigami pair well and truly cementing their places into the game now, we are introduced to one half of the Pseudo Servant pair, starting with Lr Flandre Scarlet (Pseudo Servant: Nishita), with this Speed-Class Friend arriving on December 28th 2023 and lasting until January 7th 2024!

Alongside the above Relic Friend comes a new VS Divergent Spirits stage, up against Utsuho Reiuji (L1) and this is your way of getting the full effect of the Hand in Hand with a Miracle Story Card! There will also be a rerun of the classic Divergent Spirits Stage that is Marisa Kirisame (A6) as well as the return of the Story Card that is Behind the Bullets: Reimu!

For Fantasy Rebirth, we have a reminder of what came to us on December 15th, with new Costumes and access for Hecatia Lapislazuli (L1), Junko (L1) and Clownpiece (L1), as well as new Fantasy Rebirth 2.0 upgrades for existing Friends being Eirin Yagokoro (L1), Kanako Yasaka (L1), Satori Komeiji (L1), Benben Tsukumo (L1) and Yatsuhashi Tsukumo (L1)!

It's also worth noting that Junko (L1) and Clownpiece (L1) also came with a plethora of Fantasy Rebirth 2.0 upgrades!

As for the other bits of content to cover, we had new Scarlet Devil Tower Floors (up to 340) and recently had Chapter 4 Act 3 EX 2 where we said "Aloha!" to Cz1 Marisa Kirisame. As for what we can look forward to however, we will be getting a brand nue installment of Gensokyo Tales of Fantasy titled The New Nue, as well as 2 new songs added to Reimu's Great Exorcism: Night-Splitting Light (Marisa's MV) and A Porch in Sunbeams Filtered Through Trees (default home screen theme)!

From Packs, to Prayers, to Campaigns, to Daily Stages, we have some more additional Happy News to cover!

Commencing December 28th comes a Chapter 4 Clear Challenge! In order to obtain some gold materials, you can clear some stages on Normal difficulty, but as for Lunatic difficulty, you can get yourself a Paper Doll, 40 Incense Burners and a Divine Paper Doll!

This takes us straight into a train station of Chapter 4 Themed Ultra Festival Rerun Prayers, from a train trio, to memory leaking poltergeists, to a doll duo! But there are more Prayers to look forward to, such as the Start Dash Friend Collection, including Relic Friends from December 15th and Epic Friends from January 1st 2024 (NOTE: This only applies to new players who have created their account after each Prayer begins). And since it is Christmas Season, we will also be getting more free Prayers (10 a day until the end of the year), and again, it includes Festival and Ultra Festival Friends, all thanks to the Happy Holiday 2023 Daily 10 Free Prayers!

As a last little tidbit for Prayers, we also had another Standard Pool and Ritual/Ema Pool update earlier this month (Tenkyuu very much!) as well as a Daily EXP Quest lasting all the way until the beginning of February 2024.

And as for Packs and Freebies, we have even more, with Packs entailing more of those free Material Class Packs we've already been getting, as it carries on into 2024, as well as some Happy Holidays 2023 Packs lasting until January 11th 2024 as well as two Start Dash editions of packs for the new players (Ultra Festival and A-Series)!

Now it's freebie time! December 25th is a special day for many, but a simple log in on that day will give everyone a Relic Paper Disk as a Merry Christmas Present! But it doesn't end there, as the countdown to 2024 comes with a few login bonus rewards, such as Seal Crystals, a Paper Doll and an Epic Paper Doll!

We have a few final bits of info left, starting with the MV info! There will be a new MV login bonus in 2024 that includes the Toyosatomimi no Miko MV that is Sentimental Signals. However, before that is when the MV for Shion Yorigami will be unveiled while it's still 2023!

But to really end it all shall be some Discord-related announcements! Firstly, there will be a Making Buddies for Christmas Campaign starting from December 22nd and finishing on January 11th 2024! Meanwhile, prepare yourselves for a Live With Phantasma Discord Live Stage on December 28th where there will be some announcements to look forward to!
