Dev Letter #5 Recap!

Welcome to the Half Anniversary! We got a lot (and I mean a lot) of news today, so sit tight and buckle your seatbelts as we ride the Gensokyo Hype Train! You can also catch the Dev Letter here:

Befitting the Half Anniversary, Touhou LostWord is available in over 75 countries, with more planned in the future! With all these passionate players around the world, there's so many collaborations from Touhou LostWord!

After a short introduction of GamePress to those watching the stream, we listen to songs from the MV Project and RichaadEB, announce the upcoming Frozen Starfall LostWord Chronicle Remix, and watch all of the Touhou LostWord Yumemey videos. These videos can all be found on the Touhou LostWord Official Youtube Channel

Next(Ninja) up, we have some systematic updates for the game, including: 

• New Fantasy Rebirths are arriving soon, including Sanae and Reisen (11/18), and Nitori and Youmu (December)!
• Auto Replay and Auto Farming. At last, the answer to farming for Story Cards has arrived! Auto Replay will allow you to record your actions during a stage clear, which will help especially on stages with Gauge Bursts. Auto Farming complements this by allowing players to automatically repeat stages as much as they want, with options to stop when Team Morale runs low (or to ignore low morale if you want to violate Gensokyo Labor Laws)
• The next chapter will feature Hakugyoku Arena! Completing the daily challenges will provide Superior Incense as a reward.

NextNinja shared with us the Top User Picked Story Cards and Friends for the recent event! There's a few interesting observations, like how the list will tend to skew towards newer Friends since players are trying to level them up, but Suika and Toyohime still have a very high pick rate. The other interesting part brought up by our contributor Meeko is that "Eating Contest" is the default Story Card for auto-select, potentially explaining why it has such a high usage rate.

Following these updates we have a brand new event incoming! This includes a Free Clownpiece, as well as her costume! Clownpiece can be obtained by clearing the event stages, and her costume can be redeemed for points in the event shop.

This event will also introduce new costumes! These costumes for Cirno, Daiyousei, and Lily White are based on Shichi-go-san, summarized by Caroline as a traditional Japanese celebration for Children safely reaching the ages of 3, 5, and 7.

Half Anniversary Forever Prayer

For the first time on Global, NextNinja is introducing the Half Anniversary Forever Prayer! This works by allowing players to roll once a day for any Friend within the combined Festival and Standard Prayer Pools, but the Prayer can only be redeemed once. This means that you need to choose wisely - to reroll or not to reroll?

Kourindou Roulette Renewal

Have you been logging in for your free rolls every day? The Kourindou Roulette continues on! Make sure to claim the 100 Rolls on your tenth login during the event!

Everyone Wins Campaign

Everyone Wins if they login for 30 days, receiving 50 Seal Crystals! Additionally,150,000 fortunate players who login for 30 days will receive 600 God Crystals! That's 90 million total God Crystals - Good Luck!

Hakugyoku Arena Limited Time Task

Completing the Limited Time Hakugyoku Arena task will reward the Story Card "Moriya Anniversary!"

Daily Present Part 2

Sanae has prepared Daily Presents as thanks for coming to visit her every day! Make sure to pick up your daily presents during 11/11-11/19 from the in-game store!

Introducing our very own Mystery Roulette, featuring various potential future announcements for Touhou LostWord. With a picture of Nitori's Get Down on the wheel, Caroline spins it and Phantasma stops on… Fumo? I wonder if there'll be Fumos in the future?

We didn't get the Golden Secret Mystery Prize, but that's ok, because just like the Kourindou Roulette, we have a guaranteed Big Prize! Let's see what the hype is all about!

Hifuu is a reference to the Secret Sealing Club, part of Zun's Music Collection. This will be an all new scenario for Touhou LostWord that we're receiving ahead of schedule for Global! Here are some new scenes from Hifuu LostWord!

Next up, we have the Featured Friends! In addition to featuring Maribel and Renko in the story, the main cast has received Lunar War versions for the new Prologue! What is the Lunar War? Let's check it out when Hifuu releases!

But wait, there's more!  To celebrate the Half Anniversary, there will be multiple login bonus campaigns, Triple Drop Rate up, and also the biggest Giveaway yet where Touhou LostWord will be giving a Gaming Laptop to a lucky Grand Prize winner, in addition to Amazon Gift Cards and Limited Costumes!
