Jealousy Monster

Parsee Mizuhashi guards the space connecting the surface and the Underworld. She is said to feel unreasonable levels of jealousy, to the point that she practically fuels herself with it.

How unreasonable is Parsee's jealousy? Well, if she sees somebody she thinks is more fortunate than her, she feels jealous. If she sees somebody who is just as fortunate as her, she claims that she herself is less fortunate and then feels jealous. That is how ridiculous it is.

Parsee is a hashihime, a youkai that guards the space connecting the surface and the Underworld. She watches over those who come and go, and sometimes she gives warnings to the visitors, showing that she has a kinder side to her too. In the past, she faced a sad defeat at the hands of Reimu and her companion, who had come to resolve an incident.

Those affected by Parsee's ability to manipulate jealousy become so jealous that their mental health and life balance end up suffering. Jealousy can make people go mad.

If you let your jealousy get the better of you, both your mental and physical health will suffer. That is why everyone ends up leaving Parsee and despising her. One day, she found some new friends in Former Hell who were also despised by everyone. When Parsee saw them, she decided that as long as she could be herself, it didn't matter what everyone else thought of her.
