[JP News] 2/27/2024 Live Stream Recap!

Welcome one and all to the second Touhou LostWord JP Live Stream of 2024, and the 39th Live Stream to date! We are only 2 months away from that special 4 Year Anniversary mark, but for now, it's safe to say things are going swimmingly at the moment! How so? Well if you are worried about spoilers, feel free to click away!

Unfortunately, Touhou LostWord's Producer known as Masayuki Yamagishi (aka Yama-P) was absent this time. Usually, it's him alongside Comp (Butaotome) and Satou (GoodSmile Company), but either way, the show goes on with the latter two! In the meantime, a comfortable looking cushion with a good smile was placed in the middle to keep that part of the stream sofa warm!

But with that aside, we have more news, such as the usual new Friend(s), Fantasy Rebirth, VS Divergent Spirits, Future Events and more information on the Touhou LostWord Live Concert! So without further ado, let's ride into the heavenly sea of news and more!

We've been anticipating this since the end of last month, and it is finally here! Enter Nitori Kawashiro and the 24th installment of the MV Project (also the 25th Relic) that is known as The Special-est Girl by Touhou LostWord feat.Tokui Sora × Alstroemeria Records (ALR).

We also have our Video Letter by Tokui Sora, the vocalist for this MV as well as the video for the MV itself below!

February 29th is the day where yet another installment of Chapter 4 Act 4 EX, this time it's EX 5 in the Islands of 8! I've noticed these EX updates have been coming in on a monthly bases recently, but who is joining in on the fun this time? Heaven Knows, but let's sea...

Descending from above...or riding on the seas, we have a new variant of Tenshi Hinanawi (A Girl Ecstatic to Come to the Sea), the fourth Tenshi variant (this time last year, we only had 1 version of her, now 3 more have descended from Heaven since then)! This Epic Friend is another Destroy-Class one (two months after C3 Yuyuko) who likes her CRIT ATK II buffs, gains Spirit Power when inflicted with Poison and/or Paralyze, increases damage dealt against resisted elements by 40% and can grant the team a good amount of Yang ATK and Yang DEF! Also has the new highest Yang ATK stat at 1985!

Now below, we have the three Voice Actors of this new Tenshi as well as her very own BGM and of course, her introduction video! It's also worth noting that unlike previous Friends of Eternal Summer, this shows all Spell Cards alongside her Last Word and all effects of the above!

But wait....there is more! Similar to how L80 Reimu Hakurei (Karma Speed) was announced 2 months ago, being the change herself is none other than the gorgeous gatekeeper, Hong Meiling (Be the change)! What better Relic Friend to come to March 7th in the Year of the Dragon?

To top it off, our Celestial's VS Divergent Spirits Stage dedicated to her will be against Marisa Kirisame (C3) for a Story Card with Tenshi and Shion in the art! And you may have noticed a familiar looking card, which yes, that is the Luck Story Card known as It's Just Like I Heard!

It's another month of Fantasy Rebirth News! This time, we have all the remaining Touhou 11 cast next in line for Mirrors of Rebirth, being Rin Kaenbyou, Utsuho Reiuji, Kisume, Yamame Kurodani and Parsee Mizuhashi (All L1)! However, following that group will be three more L1 Friends, with one of them being highly anticipated! Enter Narumi Yatadera, Eternity Larva, and...Yuuka Kazami (All L1)! The Flower Master of the Four Seasons has finally come in full bloom after around 3 years of being playable in Touhou LostWord JP!

But what about the next pair of Rebirth Costumes? Well in comes Yachie Kicchou and Saki Kurokoma with their beautiful costumes with a certain pair of Yorigami Sisters (Joon and Shion) waiting warmly for next month! I highly doubt those outfits will be despicable or disastrous at all!

And finally, after a month of absence, the Fantasy Rebirth 2.0 Upgrades have returned! This time, coming in with a lesser quantity, but hopefully with great quality, in the form of Sunny Milk, Sanae Kochiya and Shiki Eiki, Yamaxanadu!

Easter may be on the horizon, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves! As of this stream, we have been in the midst of a bizarrely cheery event featuring Yuugi Hoshiguma, Nue Houjuu and...it was I, Ichirin Kumoi (and Unzan)! Let's remind ourselves of that very event with the costumes of the aforementioned trio with the event trailer below!

Now about Easter, it's time to hop, skip and jump our way down memory lane with some event reruns! Firstly, we have Hakugyokurou Spring Festival of Swords, the first of its kind featuring the sharp and sweet Sakuya Izayoi, Youmu Konpaku, Yuyuko Saigyouji, Tenshi Hinanawi and Watatsuki no Yorihime! After that will be the second of these Easter Events we had, known as Disciples of the Sword, featuring Ichirin Kumoi, Mononobe no Futo and Mayumi Joutouguu showcasing their discipline!

As for our next trio of Friends, it's the Easter theme again, this time with Komachi Onozuka, Flandre Scarlet and Minamitsu Murasa! What will a ferrywoman, a magical girl and a ship captain be doing together here? Only time will tell!

We also have ourselves a new installment of Gensokyo Tales of Fantasy after a month off! This one also seems to be themed around Flandre funnily enough!

Here is where we now go over some various updates and news mentioned, from Quality of Life, to Freebies, to more!

Firstly, some of us noticed how we can't use Friends with Fantasy Rebirth as helpers for the Buddy System. However, that is about to change, as the image below demonstrates with L1 Sakuya Izayoi!

Next up comes a Freebie Campaign where players can get themselves up to 40 Rituals to use up on a Prayer that includes Festival and Ultra Festival Friends released by December 2022! However, these will have to be used up by March 29th.

Next up, is that always welcome Daily EXP Quest! These always come in handy when it comes to quickly levelling up Friends, especially the ones who just underwent Fantasy Rebirth!

Next up is for the Reimu's Great Exorcism mini-game enjoyers! Coming up soon will be the Sanae Kochiya MV that is Hand in Hand with a Miracle!

And finally, it's been a month since our Lucky new addition to the game! We now have Lucky Mirrors on sale via some Packs, with one also including God Crystals!

At the end of 2023, we learned that Touhou LostWord would be doing their very own concert on June 22nd 2024! It also features multiple circles such as A-One, Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets, ShinRa-Bansho, Sekken'ya, Tokyo Active NEETs and Butaotome, but now we have more news on it, including the Vocalists such as Ito Kanako, konoco and Otsuki Kenji, alongside Voice Actor known as Maria Noda!

But the real zinger in this encore is a pair of newly drawn art of Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame! Will they be brand new Friends, or will they be costumes? Only time will tell!

However, for those who live in Japan, they can also get access to tickets, from 3,900 Yen for a Standard Ticket, 2,900 for a Student Discount Ticket, and two different kind of Parent + Child Tickets, 5,900 Yen for 1 Parent + 1 Child and 7,900 Yen for 1 Parent + 2 Children. Tickets are also available too, by going to this website. Those who are at this concert on June 22nd will also get their own little sample sticker too!

And here we are at the end of this live stream! Personally, I was preparing myself for a possible Swimsuit Sakuya, but maybe that time will come in the future. I'm looking forward to both new Friends though, especially our new Relic Gatekeeper! I'm also looking forward to the next two Live Streams as we are only 2 months away from the 4 Year Anniversary which I'm sure will be huge whatever happens!

But yes, with that said, we do have a date to look forward to when it comes to next Live Stream (the 40th one, wow!) and it features Kishida Kyoudan and the Abeboshi Rockets! Funnily enough, it's the same circle that worked on Sakuya's MV "The Moon and Izayoi" which was one of the first of its kind. Another thing I remember is the MV concept art of Remilia when Yuuhei Satellite appeared, and the one for Yuyuko when Tokyo Active NEETS were featured! Will we see this for Sakuya next month? Only time will tell in the world of Touhou LostWord JP!
