Should You Pull?

If you need a strong Moon/Blind breaker. The bright lights and the dark nights are able to bring about a way of blinding others, and in this case, two Festival Prayers with Shared Exchange Points and an Ascending Step-UP starting off with 60 God Crystals and finishing at 460 God Crystals! With the respective spotlighted Friends representing the Sun and Moon, that alone can create a connection, in the sense of one side embracing the light and another hidden in the night. However, here we will be going over the dark side with A6 Rumia

All of A6 Rumia’s bullet lines are Yin, meaning that as a Yin user, she does not waste any Yang bullets (contrasting with A6 Sunny Milk’s Yang-only kit) and when it comes to breaking potential, this dusk youkai is more than capable of breaking barriers, such as Moon, which appears a lot in her kit, such as her Spell Card 1 having 6 lines of Moon! There are also frequent Moon breaks in her Spell Card 2 and Last Word too, which can help back this up. As for Star breaks, they aren’t very common but her Spell Card 2 has 3 lines of it which is respectable, but not too impressive. However, when it comes to Blind anomalies, A6 Rumia is able to inflict these via Skill 1 and Spell Card 2, which can be broken via Focus Shot, Spell Card 2 and Last Word (all 3P), which while not cheap in terms of Spirit Power, are satisfying to pull off.

Now with A6 Rumia being a Destroy-Class Friend, she is going to want to have some kind of strength in damage output, and while that may show in some cases, she might want help with some buffs here and there since she likes to focus on buffing CRIT ATK and CRIT Accuracy via Boosting and Grazing respectively, while also using multiple methods of debuffing the CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion of her foes. That said, it’s not going to be easy for A6 Rumia to be able to capitalize on this with her Killers, since they aren’t guaranteed to CRIT most enemies with Human, Fairy and more not quite hacking it, although other allies could benefit from the aforementioned CRIT DEF debuffs. Unfortunately, even if her Killers do land, you definitely have to keep her lack of Yin ATK buffs in mind, only appearing in her Last Word. She also does struggle with Accuracy, but at least some bullet lines having Accuracy buffs for her can mitigate that.

Ultimately, A6 Rumia might lean into more situational territory, but her solid break potential can’t be overlooked at the same time, as that is what she really has going for her here. That said, you might already be covered with Moon breaks if you have Friends such as A7B Sakuya, B3 Seiran and B3 Ringo, although for Star breaks, L80 Flandre, E1 Meiling, F1 Sanae and a good chunk of Marisa variants will have you covered. For those who conveniently have both Moon and Star, there is L80 Sakuya and B5 Reisen, however. Finally, for Blind breaking, characters such as S5 Rin, B3 Komachi, B3 Eiki, S2 Satori, or a certain A6 Friend who brightens up the gloomy place are the key ones here. Ultimately, it’s important to account for her weak spots to really bring out the best in the dusk youkai in question, because while a limited Killer range and limited Yin ATK buffs are a hindrance, she will still have a chance to shine if you plan accordingly.

Wait, a youkai of darkness can’t shine, can she?

Well either way, if you are prepared to follow that trace of darkness via pulling for A6 Rumia, best of luck to those who want to pick up the dusk youkai! Just make sure she doesn’t eat you...

Quick Overview

A6 Rumia is a Destroy-Class Friend with CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion debuffs as well as breaking with Moon and Star as well as inflicting and breaking Blind anomalies on foes.

Lots of CRIT Debuffs

A6 Rumia’s kit is dedicated towards ensuring enemy teams are constantly subjected to CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion debuffs through various means, helping other Friends take advantage of CRIT damage of their own.

Powerful Blind Anomaly Inflicting and Breaking

Skill 1 and Spell Card 2 inflict 2 layers of Blind on all enemies, leaving foes ripe for Blind Breaks. A6 Rumia achieves this via Focus Shot, Spell Card 2 and Last Word, all at 3P.

Consistent Moon and Star Elements

A6 Rumia is more than capable of connecting her Moon and Star bullets onto her enemies, moreso Moon. While Star still appears a little bit, such as through Spell Card 2, Moon breaks are common in A6 Rumia’s kit, especially demonstrated with her Spell Card 1 having 6 lines of it!

Struggles with Both Selfish and Team Buffs

When it comes to what A6 Rumia can provide for herself, unfortunately there isn’t a lot she can bring naturally. Limited to just team CRIT ATK for the team when Boosting, CRIT Accuracy for herself when Grazing, Yang DEF buffs for the team via Skill 3 and little bits of Accuracy in various Spell Card bullet lines. Ultimately, she will need lots of support with Yin ATK and even some Accuracy, as her only source of Yin ATK is from her Last Word Pre-ATK.

Won’t Capitalize on Killers too Often

Sadly, A6 Rumia won’t always be able to take advantage of her CRIT DEF debuffs she dishes out to her enemies, and this is as a result of her Killers not quite landing on all her enemies. While Human, Fairy and Moon Killers aren’t the worst, they aren’t going to hit as many enemies as Youkai or Gensokyo, and having the extremely niche Killers like Light and Human Village don’t quite help with that, but any humans A6 Rumia is up against that are also weak to Moon will be greatly susceptible to the dusk youkai’s devouring power.
