Should You Pull?

Recommended. With our 9th Relic, that is also the 8th variant of Marisa Kirisame, it’s safe to say this version of her is among some of the best Friends in the game. Shaping up to be maybe the 2nd strongest Relic in the game is no ordinary feat, even for an ordinary magician, and we will get to how her Dark Flyer took her that far in terms of speed and strength in a bit.

But first, this Relic Prayer marks the beginning of Shared Exchange Points Season One! If you are unsure of how this works, this article should be able to answer all your questions, but this Prayer will be available for 2 weeks while the Season will be lasting until August 10th.

So what exactly makes this (extra)ordinary magician so strong? Where exactly do we start? Let’s go with her massive Agility, which is partly as a result of her being a Speed-Class Friend. She can easily max out her Agility, add on some Agility II for herself, and on her Last Word, she has ridiculous Slice Scaling with lines 1 and 5 having 222%! And this isn’t even going over the fact that she has a base Stat of 1600 Agility, so needless to say her damage is going to be colossal. This is also further enforced by the fact that she even has a solid Killer range, with the key ones being Youkai, Soul, Fairy and Parallel Presence as well as a bunch of location Killers scattered around, so those CRITs will be common. Her Spirit Power gain is phenomenal too, with many ways to rack it up, from Skills 2 and 3 providing 0.50 (team) and 2.00 (self), with Passive 3 providing 0.30 of it every turn. On top of that, her Spell Card 1 and her Last Word can grant her more, and her Ability even allows her to gain even more of it when inflicted with Poison, so it’s safe to say her Spirit is very high.

So we dabbled a little bit in her Ability, but there is more to it, as she can also benefit from Burn and Blind Barriers to gain offensive buffs when inflicted like Yang ATK and CRIT ATK, which is more demonstrated through her Burn buffs! She can also inflict a lot of Burn to her foes too, easily breaking them via 2P on Spell Card 2 and 3P on her Last Word, and we know how strong her Spirit Power gain is, meaning she can easily reach that with ease. Now unfortunately, L80 Marisa does lack her own CRIT ATK, and while she can debuff the CRIT DEF of her foes via Skill 1 as well as use her own Burn anomalies for it, you can never go wrong with conventional CRIT ATK buffs, but it’s not that big of a deal really. To enter more situational territory, it may be hard to balance some of her elements in her Spell Cards (Star, Sun, Fire), and you may have to make sure your allies are not immune to or benefit from Burn (like a good chunk of Relic Friends in the game) when using Skill 1’s team Burn inflict, but with that said, what our magician in question brings to the table is a net positive.

Remember when the introduction of Shared Exchange Points teased some Story Cards to arrive on these kinds of special Prayers? Well here we are with the 5 Star Story Card: Eat and Walk! A card with some awesome art of Junko and Hecatia, and with some Speed-Class effects which is rather fitting to be honest. The effects consist of +3 Agility for the user as well as -2 Agility of all enemies (both only if used by a Speed-Class Friend) and reduces damage from Sharp Bullets by 25%. Unfortunately, it’s not going to be easy to find a great use for this card in terms of practicality, especially as a result of the restriction to Speed Friends, those also already buffing Agility very well, but even then, it still has to compete with Ability Cards?, which can grant this effect to the team when used by Speed-Class Friends, and then some. With that said, people who love the art are mainly going to want to get some copies of this card, but even then, you may want to think twice before using up 50 exchange points on it since we cannot forget about this Prayer being the beginning of Shared Exchange Points Season One.

Featured Story Card for "Eat and Walk"!

All in all, while the Story Card is a fun bonus addition to the game, the attention is really on L80 Marisa, and for very good reason! If you need a powerful Speed-Class Friend with strong Burn breaks and Spirit Power gain, look no further than here, as she will ride you to victory! If for whatever reason you are unable to get her, reruns are always a factor to consider, and I’m sure this magician will still remain extremely strong whenever that time comes.

And with that said, to those who are willing to let this Relic Prayer steal your precious Seal Crystals and Coins, may you have the best of luck when praying for this extraordinary magician, ze!

Quick Overview

L80 Marisa Kirisame is a Speed-Class Friend with extraordinary Slice Scaling, Burn anomaly mastery, lots of access to Spirit Power and of course, immense damage potential.

A Beacon of Spirit Power Generation

L80 Marisa’s Spirit Power gain is not something to overlook, due to the fact that there are many ways she can really bring this up, such as Skill 2 granting 0.50 Spirit Power to the team every other turn and Skill 3 granting herself 2.00 Spirit Power. There are more ways to bring this up too, such as her Post-ATKs in her Spell Card 1 and Last Word, her Passive 3 that gives 0.30 of it every turn and even whenever inflicted with Poison, granting 0.20 per infliction!

High Potential Damage thanks to Wide Killers and Slice Scaling

Having high Yang ATK and Agility stats at 1900 and 1600 respectively is fine and all, but Slice Scaling (222% on Last Word lines 1 and 5) with easy to max out Agility, Agility II and even great Killers like Youkai, Soul, Fairy and Parallel Presence together will hit many enemies critically.

High Burn anomaly Inflicts + Breaks

Being able to break 6 Burn anomalies of all enemies in 1 turn is no small feat, since L80 Marisa can inflict 3 layers via Skill 1, then inflict another 3 layers on them all via Spell Card 2, which can all be broken at 2P.

Mix of Star, Sun and Fire on Spell Cards

While the Burn anomaly breaking above is huge, dealing with the mix of elements may be a bit of a pain, with Star generally being the main element with Sun and Fire trying to appear as well.

Party Burn Inflictions, albeit 1 Turn

Skill 1 is not only capable of inflicting enemies with Burn, but her allies, and by extension, herself are inflicted with Burn anomalies. For L80 Marisa, she gains offensive buffs from anomalies in the form of both Burn and Blind, which works in her favor, but not all enemies benefit from it, so plan accordingly to make sure inflicted allies benefit from, or are immune to Burn.

Limited CRIT ATK Buffs

While self-inflicted Burn anomalies are able to to grant L80 Marisa essential buffs like Yang ATK and CRIT ATK, this is the only way for her to gain CRIT ATK, and while she has ways to work around this via CRIT DEF DOWN on all enemies on Skill 1 and Barrier restoration via Spell Card 1 Post-ATK to keep the Burn anomalies strong, she may have to rely on teammates and/or Story Cards to truly capitalize on her strong range of Killers.
