Prayer Overview
With only weeks away until the 2nd Anniversary for Touhou LostWord Global, we are met with another Daily Forever Prayer which went live from April 21st. For those who are unfamiliar with Daily Forever Prayers, they grant you the opportunity to pick up a Friend by random every day, but there is a catch: you walk away with no more than 1 Friend from this special Prayer.
If you were to pray for a Friend by random and opted not to welcome that Friend, when the next day comes, you will get another chance to Pray for another Friend by random. Once you make this decision, the preceding Friend from this special Prayer disappears and is replaced with the new Friend, effectively taking over this spot. This cycle will continue either until May 11th or until you decide to choose the “Welcome This Friend” option.
When it comes to the latter, it’s important that you are happy with the Friend you have chosen, because this Daily Forever Prayer will not be usable for you again if you welcome a Friend. Should you go the distance however, the final Friend you pray for will be found in your Mail once its time is up.
Risk and Strategy
With hundreds of Friends to choose from (136 to be specific), the chances of getting a specific Friend is less than 1% each day. Keeping that in mind, trying to pinpoint only 1 Friend will leave you with a low chance of getting that Friend to come home within the 21 opportunities you have, and will leave you more likely to be disappointed. It’s good to have a handful of names on your wish list, especially ones you do not have as a Friend yet. The more Friends you wish for, the more likely you are to eventually receive a Friend you want, and the less risky it is as well, so make sure you have a good selection of Friends you are willing to pick should any of them come your way.
Who to Consider?
Part of the reason you might find yourself having a large wishlist may be due to the fact that Regular Prayer Friends, L1 Festival Friends and A-Series Festival Friends that were released before or during December 2022 are all included here, and with A-Series Festival Friends in the mix, things start to get interesting, as they are arguably the most sought after Friends here. To name a few, we have A6 Reimu, A6 Marisa, A6 Sunny Milk, A7 Ran and A11 Koishi among some of the top Friends to try and aim for, but if you are happy with picking up an L1 Friend, choices like Momoyo, Hecatia, Keiki and Chimata will not disappoint you either!
With a large pool of options to choose from as shown via this community listing, let’s go over the L1 and A-Series Friends you will NOT be seeing here due to being released after December 2022:
A6 Rumia, A6 Remilia Scarlet, A6 Flandre Scarlet, Ibaraki-Douji’s Arm, Urumi Ushizaki, A6 Hong Meiling, A6 Daiyousei, A6 Koakuma, Sannyo Komakusa, A6 Alice Margatroid and A6 Yuuka Kazami.
These friends may appear in a future Daily Forever Prayer, but for now, every L1 and A-Series Friend that isn’t mentioned above could find their way to you during the next 21 days!
