Operator Folinic has recently finished training, and officially became a combat medic. Serious, responsible, and careful, she is a medical professional active on the battlefield. Once a medical researcher on Rhodes Island and studying under Kal'tsit, she who came from Chernobog asked to join the frontlines after the Chernobog incident. After training and assessments, she was granted her wish. She will provide medical support on the battlefield, while using poison on her enemies without hesitation. To her, it's not something she'll feel guilty about. Currently having a headache over the Doctor's health management.
Folinic is a 5★ ST Medic with the ability to harm enemies with her Skill 2! She represents the first Medic with a skill that will directly attack foes. She will be awarded for free to all players as part of the upcoming Twilight of Wolumonde Event.
Talents and Skills
Trait: Restores the HP of allies
Talent: Grants Resist to self (reduce duration of stun, snare and freeze). Additionally, reduce damage taken from the environment.
Skill 1:During skill activation, increase attack range and ATK
Skill 2: During skill activation, attacks change to firing composite medicinal shells (prioritizes enemies). The shells will recover the HP of nearby allies while dealing Arts damage to nearby enemies
First Impressions
Note: These are first impressions and based on conjecture since we don’t know the exact details.
I think the implications and potential usage of Folinic are pretty clear: a healing focused unit that can also act as a hybrid heal/dps Operator in some situations. This sort of hybrid nature already exists in some forms, such as self healing Operators like Hellagur, and more directly comparable to the often overlooked Operator Nightmare, who's S1 also has the ability to damage and heal simultaneously.
Nightmare can almost be seen as the inverse of Folinic: she is a DPS operator that can add healing with a skill, where Folinic is a healing Operator that can add damage with a Skill.
Unfortunately the incredibly high SP cost of Nightmare's S1 limits its applicability, and the lack of damage modifiers means it does not directly improve the dps side of her role. Will Folinic suffer from similar drawbacks as Nightmare? A lot will depend on the exact details.
