A Sarkaz girl with a blank past. Almost unable to use Originium Arts, and her physical aptitude is quite average, but she has excellent performance in combat. According to the testing operator's feedback, this is connected to her two-handed sword. Whimsical, carefree, wandering by herself all day, no one knows what she's looking for. All they know is that she has a record book, filled with nonsensical location names. When she arrives at a place, she'd speak to herself, and cross out one of the names. She wouldn't belittle someone without reason, but her attitude during conversations is not friendly. It is somewhat difficult to communicate with her. However, things might change if you bring ice cream with you?

Surtr is a 6★ Arts Guard with a death-defying Talent , and Skills that bring multi-target fiery pain to her enemies over an extended range.

Talent and Skills

Talent 2: When receiving fatal damage, continuously prevent HP from going below 1, and retreat from the battlefield several seconds later

Skill 1: The next attack has increased ATK. If the target dies, recover all SP.

Skill 2: During skill activation, increase ATK, attack distance, and attack target count. When attacking only a single target, further increase ATK.

Skill 3: On skill activation, immediately recover all of Surtr's HP. During skill activation, increase ATK, attack distance, attack target count and Max HP, however, continuously lose HP (after a certain period, HP loss percentage stops increasing). Infinite duration. (Note: The CN description is a bit vague, so the precise details may not be known until it is live)

First Impressions

Note: These are first impressions and based on conjecture since we don’t know the exact details. 

Have you always wanted a Melee Ifrit?  Then this might be the Operator you've been waiting for!  Surtr will be our first 6★ Arts Guard, meaning she deals Arts damage with her attacks instead of Physical.  

Her S1 is a single target skill that refills its SP if the target dies, which could make it excellent for times consistent damage is preferred, like when facing a steady stream of enemies.  S2 dials things up by extending her range and target count and boosting her ATK.  It seems like this one might be manually triggered, making it good for burst situations, and the fact that ATK is boosted further when attacking only one target makes it very versatile for any situation.

S3 looks to be the melee Ifrit Skill.  It is an infinite-duration Skill, and other Skills of this type that we have seen have been very strong (see Blaze and Thorns).  When the Skill activates, her ATK, attack distance, number of targets, and Max HP all increase.  The downside is that she continuously loses HP while the Skill is active, though this is compensated for at least somewhat by her regaining full health when the Skill activates.  It appears like healing support will be necessary to keep her alive once she starts to unleash her fiery fury.

Overall, there is every reason to believe she will be a strong 6* that will competently fill a useful role.

She demonstrated powerful battle ability in tests, and quickly became a combat operator.

Clinical Analysis

Analysis: Imaging tests have shown the outlines of her internal organs to be indistinct due to smaller abnormal shadows. Originium granules have been detected in her circulatory system, with slight signs of Oripathy infection, confirming her to be infected with Oripathy.

Increase Trust to 50.

Operator Surtr was found among the ruins of a small border town in Ursus, which had been destroyed by a natural disaster. At the time, Rhodes Island personnel who were undertaking post-disaster exploration missions came across Surtr while she was resting at a damaged home. Worried that she would be affected by further collateral disasters, they decided to bring her back to Rhodes Island. Afterwards, it was discovered that Surtr only happened to be taking a break as she passed through the area.

Increase Trust to 100.

Although Surtr’s combat abilities far exceed those of the regular Rhodes Island members, the source of her ability is not related to any sort of existing Originium Arts. Using the two-handed great sword she carries around, Surtr can destroy her surroundings effortlessly. The high temperature emitted from the blade is able to melt ordinary substances with ease, however, the principle behind it is difficult to understand. Surtr herself has no memory as to how and when she came to obtain the great sword; she has no knowledge of its history as far as she can remember. On this note, even if Surtr visits the general infected areas, her Oripathy infection is unlikely to spread. Whether this will become an important point to note with regards to Oripathy research still remains to be seen.

Increase Trust to 150.

The memory loss caused by Surtr’s cognitive disorder is different from regular types of memory loss. Rather, it is caused by confusion with multiple memories over a period of time. According to Surtr, there are a lot of different memories in her mind. In these memories, Surtr experienced completely different interactions at completely different geographic locations. Due to the difficulties faced in investigating this, it is impossible to verify the authenticity of these memories. It is unsure if these are Surtr’s own experiences, or if she had regarded other’s experiences as her own.

Surtr leads a relatively easy going life at Rhodes Island, without adhering to specific limitations and requirements normally necessary for other personnel. The medical department is sympathetic to her situation and have helped to organize part of the memories she can remember, to aid in further investigation. Most of the time, Surtr will personally visit the locations in her memories to search for clues. It is unlikely that Surtr will be able to completely organize and regain her memories despite these investigations, however, she does not seem to mind. Perhaps to her, the process of searching is more important to her.
