I have Xander, Xainfried and Lily, but no 5-star water dragons... I have Poli` ahu and Mercury, but Mercury is not good at all. I have Cupid, Agni, Nidhogg, Zephyr and Jeanne D Arc. I would greatly appriciate if some of you would tell me which dragon is best on who, and why. Thanks!

In my opinion, whoever you main should get Poli'ahu. I don't think putting Mercury on the AI unit is bad either because it gives them extra health to survive.
Other than, just slap your highest might dragons on your AI and I'm sure you'll be more than ready to 100% this raid haha
The best water dragon you have is Poli'ahu, and is the singular best dragon for all of your water adventurers. In addition to transforming into a dragon temporarily, dragons increase the stats of an adventurer who is attuned to the same element. stat boosts from dragons come in 3 types: HP, HP & STR and STR. Pure HP is best for healers, STR is best for damage dealers in general, while hybrid dragons (Poli'ahu) are best for ranged damage dealers in extremely difficult content to make up for their lack of defense. If you're focusing on making 1 water team, put Poli'ahu on the character you intend to control. The other dragons you equip will matter significantly less as you will likely not transform into them nor gain significant stats from them. If any of your adventurers are lower level or have difficulty surviving, put Mercury on them for the HP boost. For off-element dragons, choose the ones with the highest levels for the biggest stat boosts. Cupid is likely a good choice to invest in as he is the only 5* STR light dragon and his skill heals to save endangered party membersand increases crit rate for more damage.
