Improvement suggestions/opinions.

So, i finally got my first main squad up to lvl 90 a little while ago. Now i could use some suggestions on my echelons and what i should try to make.

I think i should swap out a few from my main echelon?
AR-15 Skorpion
M4A1 UMP45
FF FNC

I tried to make a general RF/HG echelon from what i had, but it doesn't seem too efficient.
M14
Makarov PPK STEN mk II
SVD

I have just begun on a second AR/SMG echelon
416 Vector
AUG RO635
Gr G41

I was also wondering if i should try and build a night echelon or if i should wait.

Hey mate
Apologies in advance if this is a bit long-winded

Lets start with your main echelon when properly levelled swap FNC and Skorpion for G41 and Vector as respectively as these are direct upgrades. Also swap AR-15's position with the other AR as she can push herself very close to the ROF cap with her skill while the other others buff their own damage and as such appreciate a bit more ROF. With this your main echelon would looks as follows:

G41 Vector
M4A1 UMP45
AR15

On to your RF/HG, the reason this didn't work very well is mostly due to HG selection. The issue is that both PPK and Makarov have the same buff tile layout to buff those behind and one directly in-front of them as such in your echelon Makarov is only buffing PPK which is pointless. If you have no other usable RF's or HG's and want to continue useing an SMG (good for early game but should be eventually phased out) i recommend the following setup:

M14 Makarov
_ PPK
SVD Sten

Then when the battle starts move Sten to front centre to tank incoming damage. you don't want her to start in the front row as that means enemies will start closer and as such take less time to fire giving you less time to kill them before taking damage.

If you have access to more T-Dolls put a HG with ROF/DMG buff with tiles that buff beside her in the centre of the back row, Bren Ten is a decent place holder until you get something better. Also if possible try to have both rifles have the same self-buff skill (either ROF of DMG). For ROF buffing SVD and WA2000 are best but T-5000 is a good sub if you are missing one and VM59 is usable if you only have SVD. For DMG buffing M14, G28 and Lee-Enfeild are best, unfortunately the other options in this class are fairly crap. An example echelon is a follows:

SVD Makarov
Bren Ten PPK
WA2000/T-5000

You will want to swap the positions of PPK and Makarov once the battle start as Makarov is significantly tankier than PPK (only use HG's as tanks when they reach level 80 so they can equip exoskeletons)

For your second echelon swap Vector and G41 for Skorpion and FNC as they will be used in the main echelon, also swap 416 for SOPMOD II as she has better pre-nade DPS and only a marginally weaker grenade (it will still overkill anyway)

While you should build night combat echelons you need to be fairly careful as bad/misinformed choices can lead to a lot of wasted Quick repairs and lost affection. Don't rush and if your having trouble there are plenty of night mission guides out there which give recommendations of Echelon setups

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the reply!

I have been running low on cores after i made my second AR/SMG echelon, and i have decided to wait with that one a little bit. But since i won't have an any grenadiers now should i put SOPMOD in my main echelon instead of G41?

Do you also have a way to efficiently farm cores?

Hey mate

I would keep G41 in the main echelon. While AR nades do a lot of burst damage they are generally hindered by long cooldown (8s) compared to a self buff skill (4-6s). Furthermore nades a annoyingly dependent on the RNG of where it is fired. Also it is generally good to have one Nader in an echelon, but for the most part SMGs fill the roll better for short initial cooldown and burn damage for Molotovs.

For core farming I would recommend corpse dragging 3-4E which has easy enemies, decent XP and a good 3* drop rate. Dragging 0-2 is also an option but you need a lv100 m16 with +7 exo and armour, as well at the very least lv100 416 and SOPMOD with skill lv8+. Since it seems safe to assume you don’t have all this I would recommend dragging 3-4E with your lv90+ T-Dolls.

In my opinion, the UMP45 works well with all the AR's and therefore you simply have to put the best ones that you have, especially the "Tier 1" like G41, G11, Type 97 and Type 95.
In the front next to the UMP45 the M16 is usually put and when starting battle it is possible to be interchanged with this one so that it makes the main tank.
