At the start of battle, even-numbered tiles on the field (numpad layout) become Sancta Terra tiles. For each allied T-Doll standing on Sancta Terra tiles, gain 1 point of Sancta Potentia per second, up to a maximum of 100 points.

Allies standing on Sancta Terra tiles will not take even-numbered amounts of damage at 30 points or below.

Normal attacks performed by friendly units standing on Sancta Terra tiles come with an Afterburn effect, dealing an additional 100 points of flat Damage.

Active: Consume all Sancta Potentia and gain 10 point of flat Damage per point of Sancta Potentia expended, lasting for 10 seconds. (Maximum 1000.)

Cooldown: 16 seconds

Unity Skill

Forbidden Syzygy

When SCAR-L and SCAR-H are both on the field, start the battle with 40 points of Sancta Potentia.

Additionally, gain 4 points of Sancta Potentia per second.

For day use VFL, SPEQ/HV, Focus Chip.

For night use PEQ, SPEQ/HV, #2 Chip.

Overview

The SCAR twins are some of the strongest Damage Dealers available in GFL when paired together, with SCAR-L functioning as the main Damage Dealer, but needs her twin SCAR-H to function well.

Both SCARs have additive buffs, which are applied after multiplicative buffs and thus do not work with most standard buffers. This means teambuilding with the SCARs is slightly different from normal echelons, but with how absurd their Damage output is, most campaign content can be cleared without issues by just adding a tank or two to the echelon.

Due to the nature of their additive buffs, basically only Vulnerability and Crits works well to scale their Damage further, should this even be necessary.

In regards to M4A1 Mod and her Exodia, there are a lot of comparisons here, as memed by xVarz:

  • They function similarly:
M4 shoots the frontline. SCAR-L shoots the frontline. M4 is the main DPS in M4ex. SCAR-L is the main DPS in SCARs.
  • M4ex is very high effort:
M4ex needs kiting. Like, a lot of kiting. That's pretty high effort compared to just sitting there twiddling your thumbs as the enemies just melt on their own with SCARs.

The basics here remain true, and SCARs are incredibly easy to use in comparison to M4 exodia.

As a final note: SCAR-H's Luna Maria tiles are far more important than the tilebuffs that either doll provides. Combine this with the fact that SCAR-L's Damage buff is additive, she does not benefit from tiles much at all and tilebuffs are largely irrelevant for SCARs.

Strengths

Flat Damage Bonus On Sancta Terra Tiles

Note that SCAR-H's 30% extra Damage tiles are far better for DPS Dolls, as the 30% Bonus Damage can crit unlike the flat 100 Damage from SCAR-L.

Defensive Utility On Tiles

Allies standing on Sancta Terra tiles will not take even-numbered amounts of damage at 30 points or below.

High Damage Output

If she is together with SCAR-H, she gives herself an absurd ~800-1000 extra flat Damage, which also benefits from SCAR-H's 30% bonus tiles.

Additive Buffs

As SCAR-L's buffs are additive rather than multiplicative, they cannot be cleansed by enemies and they are not reduced by debuffs as it is applied afterwards.

Weaknesses

Additive Buffs

Constrains teambuilding options, as flat buffs do not benefit from multiplicative buffs.

Only Truly Shines When Paired Together

You really really want to use the SCAR twins together, and in SCAR-L's case, she is very lackluster on her own.

Full Analysis

Each second, each ally on an even-numbered tile gives SCAR-L 1 skill stack.

SCAR-L needs her unity skill to gain enough skill stacks, and she wants to be on odd-numbered tiles to gain the 30% extra damage hit from SCAR-H as well as the RoF buff from SCAR-H.

Team Options

SCAR-L needs SCAR-H to do well. Use her with SCAR-H.

Add as many tanks as necessary and steamroll most content.

Both SCAR twins should be placed on the odd tiles 1 and 7 to do effective DPS.
