Character Analysis
Byakuren Hijiri (Wheel of Dharma Diva) was released on July 28th 2023 on "Ultra Festival Prayer: Desert, Dharma & Doggo." For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.
You may be familiar with the monk on a motorcycle known as Byakuren Hijiri, as shown in previous incidents like the Urban Legend and the Perfect Possession ones. However in a deserted realm lies this world’s version of this monk in question, also using her motorcycle mastery, but mainly for racing! But she’s not alone, as her cute pet dog named Shiun supports her in any and every competitive race! Together, on a vehicle of their choice named Vimana, Byakuren and Shiun shall overcome any obstacle and opponent in any and every way!
T5 Byakuren Hijiri is a Speed-Class Friend who rides in with immense Agility and Evasion, great Spirit Power gain, Metal and Sun breaks and a little bit of Poison anomaly breaking.
As a Attacker / Supporter / Debuffer
- Increases damage to enemies with bullets effective against enemies by 40%. Metal and Sun appear rather frequently.
- Great Spirit Power gain. Increases it by 2.25 with Skill 3, will get 0.15 every turn via Passive 1 and Spell Card 2 Post-ATK, which is scaled with boosts (0.50 at 0P, 1.75 for 3P).
- Yang ATK buffs for the team via Skill 3. Also has slight Yang DEF debuffs in bullet lines on Spell Card 2 and Last Word.
- CRIT ATK buffs for the team via Skill 3. Can also greatly reduce the CRIT DEF of her enemies via Spell Card 2 and Last Word Pre-ATKs.
- Can easily max out the team’s Agility via Skills 1 and 2, Grazing and Last Word Pre-ATK. Selfish buffs come by Boosting and Spell Cards 1 and 2 Post-ATKs which are Scaled with Boosts.
- Speaking of Agility, her Slice Scaling is massive on her Last Word, with it being either 155% or 175%.
- Accuracy buffs for the team via Skill 1 and Last Word.
- Killers include Human, God, Fairy, Racer, Undead, Devil, Demonic Person, Hermit and Celestial
As a Utility
- Can max out the Evasion of her allies through Skill 1, Spell Card 1 and Last Word.
- Inflicts Poison anomalies to her foes via Skill 2 and Spell Card 1. These, as well as any Paralyze anomalies can be broken via Spell Card 1 and Last Word, both at 2P.
- Skill 1 can be used every turn. This is how T5 Byakuren can easily max out the team’s Agility and Evasion, especially as the Evasion buffs last 2 turns, and Skill 2’s Agility buffs last multiple turns.
Story Card Recommendations
(Card recommendations last updated on July 27, 2023)
Spell Card
T5 Byakuren’s Spirit Power gain is so good that is isn’t as much of a priority for her as it would be for other allies, but if for whatever reason you are desperate for it, it’s not a bad option to include, especially if you’re taking into account team Spirit Power. Aside from that, Yang ATK and CRIT ATK buffs help her more when it comes to maximizing buffs. If you want to extend the Accuracy even further, you could try doing that, but it’s less important to do so compared to the above. Lastly, Heavy Bullet Cards will help a lot with raw damage on both Spell Cards.
Team Spirit Power UP: Myouren Temple Anniversary, Divine Spirit Tajikarao, Dancers Take the Stage, Utopia Tea Time
Spirit Power UP: The Witch of Scarlet Dreams, Our Dream, Dancer in the Puddle, Mountain of Faith, Youkai Mountain Anniversary, Taking a Breather in Spring, Post-Training Kinako Milk
Yang ATK UP: Ordinary Magician, Members of the Yakumo Family, How Irrational…, Kasen, Senkai, Nameless Adventurers, By The Underground Lake
CRIT ATK UP: Worlds in Hand, Divine Spirit Tajikarao, New Year’s Shrine Visit VI, Miracle Mallet, Bloody Order, Ordinary Magician
Accuracy UP: Ability Cards?, Taking a Breather in Spring, Valued Tools of the Trade, The Lunar War, Poltergeist Sisters’ Concert, 8th Hakurei Shrine Fall Reitaisai, Shichi-Go-San School Visit?!, Secret Hobby
Heavy Bullet Power UP: The Secret God of the Sky, Summer God Fantasy Sea, Incident Shrine
Last Word
Night-Splitting Light
Infinity Garden
Little Sister and Sweets
Occult Circle
Winter Holiday
Ordinary Magician
Disillusion
Despite it being made for an ordinary magician, Night Splitting Light works amazingly for this superhuman. From the 50% Laser boost to the additional effect of lowering the Yang DEF of her foes even more, it will be greatly beneficial to her. Other options for Laser include Infinity Garden (50%), Little Sister and Sweets (45%), Occult Circle (35%), Winter Holiday (35%) and Ordinary Magician (25%) which also comes with Yang ATK buffs and a tiny CRIT ATK buff. Lastly, since T5 Byakuren’s Last Word is more Metal focused, Disillusion with its 50% Metal boost could be a viable option, albeit less effective compared to the Laser boosters above.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Drifting takes pole position here. From its cooldown going from 9 turns to 7 turns, to more of that valued Yang ATK and CRIT ATK to the team, to most importantly that huge Spirit Power gain, you’ll definitely want to get this one out of the way first. Next up will be Full Throttle. Having a Skill that can be used every turn is never a bad thing and with this one boosting Evasion, Accuracy and Agility for the team every turn, this could come in handy. Last up is Burnout which is mainly more Team Agility and some Poison anomalies inflicted into her competition. With the main thing to worry about really being Poison anomalies since T5 Byakuren can easily max out the team’s Agility, this can go last.
Character Strengths
(Emotional) Skyscraper of Speed and Strength
With the mix of base Yang ATK and Agility (1825 and 1525 respectively) as well as being able to max out her Agility on top of the great Slice Scaling to work with, the mach monk is more than capable of dealing high damage against her foes, especially ones weak to Metal and/or Sun due to her Ability to deal 40% more damage with her effective bullets. She even has Yang ATK and CRIT ATK buffs from Skill 3 to help jumpstart her damage too!
Biker Breaks the Mold
More on T5 Byakuren’s Metal and Sun breaks, especially shown in her Spell Cards and Last Word, there is a rather consistent mix of the two to fall back on to achieve full-break status on foes as those (aside from a little Wood on Spread Shot) are her go-to elements here. On top of that, she has some helpful Poison anomalies to inflict on foes which can also be broken via Spell Card 1 and Last Word, breaking 5-6 of them in 1 go. Paralyze breaking is also snuck in too if there are allies with Paralyze inflictions on enemies.
Superhuman Spirit
When it comes to Spirit Power, T5 Byakuren is certainly not going to struggle with increasing it much, whether it be that a lot of her attacks don’t need to be fully boosted to show their greatness, or by just the sheer amount she can rack up, such as Skill 3’s gigantic 2.25 Spirit Power boost for herself, which is more than enough for a fully boosted attack, and really going above and beyond in that regard (do keep in mind the 7 turn cooldown on that Skill though). She also gains 0.15 Spirit Power via Passive 1 every turn which is always welcome, and lastly, her Spell Card 2 Post-ATK scales with boosts when it comes to Spirit Power. Depending on Boosting, will either grant her 0.50, 0.75, 1.00 or 1.75. Safe to say that T5 Byakuren won’t struggle much with the Spirit Power side of things!
Character Weaknesses
A Few Gaps in her Killer Range
While Killers like Human, God and Fairy on their own aren’t the worst ones in the world, there are some Killers out there like Youkai and Gensokyo that would hit even more enemies. That said, if she can hit her enemies with some of those Killers, the sky(scraper) could be the limit as Slice Scaling and an effective element boost help a ton, but so do Killers.
