Haru Ichiban (a Touhou LW original) refers to the first strong warm wind of spring. It is perfect for Lily White, the herald of spring. Lily is endowed with Wood Phase, the element of spring, and Sun Essence, the element of warmth.

The strong and kind Wood Phase resists Water Phase, because water nourishes wood, but it is weak to Metal Phase, because metal carves wood.

The alluring and arrogant Sun Essence resists the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence, but it is weak to the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence.

Hina Arare

Lily White's Spread Shot (a Touhou LW original). Hina arare are colorful bite-sized rice crackers made for a spring festival. This bullet hell attack was born after Lily fell and sent some of these rice crackers flying. The Child of Miare gave her the snack and also taught her the snack's name, but the name is too complicated for Lily White to read.

Warmth Sign: Starry Gazy Pie

Lily White's Spell Card (a Touhou LW original). It can also be called stargazy pie. Lily created this bullet hell attack so that she could enjoy her battles of bullets with the other fairies. You can't find sardines in Gensokyo, but the guard at the Scarlet Devil Mansion said they were delicious, which was the catalyst for this attack.

The birds come flying when they hear that spring has arrived. Kosuzu saw this attack once and named it after a line from a poem. Lily White doesn't really understand what it means.

Lily White's ability heralds the arrival of spring. That's all. However, this ability may also include finding the smallest signs of change from winter to spring and letting all living beings know that the season of awakening has arrived. If this is true, without Lily White, nobody would notice spring's arrival. As spring is the season of birth, it would be quite a predicament if this were to happen.

Character Analysis

Lily White was released on May 11th, 2021 as part of the starting roster. For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.

Despite being a fairy, seen as one of the minor threats in Gensokyo, Lily White will always put her strength into announcing the coming of spring. Taking spiritual power from the same season she proudly exclaims, her appearance is sure to calm others around her instead of being seen as a threat. Her presence is even revered by human florists, as Lily’s visit commonly results in the blooming of their flowers.

For farming, Lily lacks much firepower to produce many great results. With skills and effects that prioritize Focus down and the restoration of the party’s HP or barriers, she fulfills her role of healing only to leave out any offensive potential. She can be brought to assist the health of your other farmers, but not much else beyond that.

For harder fights, the focus of supportive healing instead of damage still hurts her potential. Having a 0P Wood-element Focus shot is convenient, but it is the only element on her basic shots. Her spell cards are lacking in this field as well, requiring 3P for an extra Wood or Star break on her second card and Last Word respectively. Her first card can provide 2 Wood breaks for 1P, but that does not remove the fact that these are the only elements Lily has access to, with some being quite costly. Her bullets provide no other secondary effects either, making her offense very limited.

However, the same does not apply regarding her supportive abilities. Two skills focused on healing the party’s HP means that she will be capable of keeping other Friends’ HP up more often. Lily’s Last Word will add one additional layer to the party’s Barrier, which is always helpful for longer fights. Lily White will ensure that her allies can stay in the fight as long as they can, but can’t provide much beyond that and would rather keep her Focus down. Which unfortunately, due to the Focus rework, winds up being a enormous detriment to her team that causes them to take more damage, which in turn defeats the purpose of bringing her.

Character Skill Level Up Recommendations

Call of Spring and Spring Healing should be prioritized in order to maximize Lily White’s healing capabilities. While both skills scale at a similar rate, Spring Healing has a higher base and end value, giving it the superior restoration potential. Call of Spring will always be able to heal a Barrier Status no matter the skill level, making it a weaker healing skill. Her second skill only lowers her Focus, which makes it outright detrimental (due to Focus raising the damage her allies will take from All targeting attacks) and it should never be used.
