Character Shots
Enshrining summoned divine spirits within bullets that are then shot may seem sacrilegious at first glance, but these divine spirits are not expended in this process as they are only bunrei. However, since the divine spirits cannot act as sprits and are instead always limited to a single function, they are not omnipotent.

Character Analysis
B3 Watatsuki no Yorihime was released on February 18th, 2022 in "Ultra Festival Prayer: Gun-Sword Peacekeeper." For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.
Watatsuki no Yorihime’s strength is truly incomparable to any other current Touhou character. As a Lunarian who has lived a much longer life compared to mere humans, along with the teachings from Eirin Yagokoro, Yorihime has mastered using the power of the eight million gods by allowing them to possess her body. Not only is her combat prowess unmatched, but her summoning is very adaptable to any situation, being able to defeat the bullet power of Sakuya Izayoi, Remilia Scarlet, and Marisa Kirisame with pure cunning wit. Even Reimu Hakurei, with her own ability to summon spirits as a shrine maiden, does not show the same flexibility as the lunar princess. All of this applied to the Yorihime we already knew, but what happened to this one to make her an incredible Friend…? Gunblades, probably.
Yorihime and her many gods excel at a great amount of farming opportunities. Although her All-target Last Word, Kannagi - Warrior Shrine Maiden, is somewhat backloaded with 1-2-2 bullet lines at 1/2/3 Spirit Power, she has her own methods to quickly build up her strength. Foreign God Skanda provides 1.5 Spirit Power, making for a still impressive turn 1 burst option. Unusual God Matara gives a smaller 0.25 Spirit Power, which is at least given out to the entire party, and Divine Spirit: Amatsu-Mikaboshi can be used for an additional 1.25 Spirit Power when needed. All of her tools combined makes for a very consistent farmer that can easily clear several story card farms all by herself.
Solo Stage Farms: 2-7-1, 3-3-3, 3-6-3, Future Story Card Stage
Just like her original form, Yorihime has a heavy amount of Killer bullets in her attacks, especially her spell cards. Most notable are the Anti-Youkai and Anti-Human bullets found at the start of Divine Spirit: Hono-Ikazuchi and her Last Word, guaranteeing critical hits on a good majority of the cast. CRIT ATK buffs to the party from Unusual God Matara (2 levels for 2 turns) and Graze from her character ability combined with 6 levels of CRIT DEF DOWN to all foes (Eccentric God Hotei, Divine Spirit: Hono-Ikazuchi and her Last Word doing 2 levels each) and 2 levels of CRIT Evasion DOWN to all opponents from Unusual God Matara makes Yorihime a very powerful CRIT attacker. Even if an opponent avoids the Killers, such as fairies, Yorihime doesn’t pull punches with heavy Slice scaling and gives herself 4 levels of Yang ATK UP from Foreign God Skanda and her Last Word and continues to debuff opponents with Eccentric God Hotei’s 2 levels of Yang DEF DOWN.
As for breaking, Yorihime juggles an impressive variety of elemental breaks, with 3 Fire and Wood breaks from Divine Spirit: Hono-Ikazuchi and a mix of Water, Metal, Moon, and Star elsewhere. A 0P Metal Focus shot is always nice to have, even if Solo-target. Her most obvious element proficiency is from her Last Word, boasting Moon breaks on each bullet line to promise a world of pain for anyone daring to challenge the Moon element. Outside of that, Yorihime holds even more breaking utility through anomaly breaks, including from Paralyze breaks at 3P of Divine Spirit: Hono-Ikazuchi, Freeze breaks at 3P of Divine Spirit: Amatsu-Mikaboshi, and Poison breaks on Kannagi - Warrior Shrine Maiden. Interesting to note is Divine Spirit: Hono-Ikazuchi’s Pre-Attack Effect of applying 2 Paralyze anomalies to the target, meaning a guaranteed 2 breaks on anyone not immune to Paralyze at 3P. While Spirit Power-costly, Yorihime’s Spirit Power gain still makes these options practical in many situations.
As expected from one who desires peace, Yorihime holds strength for herself while still accepting the support of others. Along with supporting others with her own buffs and debuffs, Yorihime synergizes with many Friends thanks to her anomaly breaks and applying Charge to herself with Eccentric God Hotei. Charge is important for an attacker like her, as it ensures that other Friends apply debuffs before she follows them up. On top of that, each boost provides Accuracy support to the whole team, making her a solid choice for any challenging content.
Just like the countless amount of gods she has access to, Yorihime’s kit is truly limitless. Even if she does not max out a buff such as Yang ATK UP by herself, she has plenty of other strengths to not even need that. As of now, the Peace Temple is truly one of the strongest characters in Touhou LostWord.
The Slice scaling for Yorihime’s attacks are as follows:
Divine Bullets: 0%/50%/0%/50%/0%/0%
Double-Blade: 40%/50%/50%/0%/0%/0%
Divine Spirit: Hono-Ikazuchi’s: 0%/0%/0%/0%/0%/70%
Divine Spirit: Amatsu-Mikaboshi: 0%/0%/0%/0%/0%/70%
Kannagi - Warrior Shrine Maiden: 80%/0%/100%/0%/120%/120%
Story Card Recommendations
Spell Card
Yorihime has her own Accuracy support thanks to Evasion debuffs and her character ability, allowing for her to be more creative with her story card slots. Witch of Scarlet Dreams is always nice to have, for both a stat stick and extra Spirit Power to utilize. Otherwise, further CRIT ATK buffs can be achieved with cards such as The Surface is So Fun!, or you can turn to Yang ATK up to prepare her Last Word.
Last Word
Both of these Last Word slot options provide a flat 50% buff to Yorihime's Last Word: The Heat of My Fingertips for Moon-element bullets and Unknown Barrier Team for Energy Bullets. Technically, Unknown Barrier Team would be more ideal for its Yang ATK buff, being more relevant for the Yang-only Last Word, but either card does very well.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Foreign God Skanda’s 1.5 Spirit Power gain is important to utilizing all of the benefits of Yorihime’s spells, definitely making it a first priority. Even the trivial Evasion buff attached to this skill is fine due to the beneficial second buff of 2 levels of Yang ATK UP to the entire party. Afterwards, her other 2 skills are both useful and depend on the team you are building. Eccentric God Hotei might be less situational due to debuffing all targets’ Yang DEF by 2 levels, but Unusual God Matara is especially great for any CRIT-centered teams, along with a small Spirit Power boost to everyone.
Character Strengths
Bringing Out The Big Gun(blade)s
The Moon-only nature of B3 Yorihime Last Word increases the ways she can support the damage of her Last Word with Story Cards (most notably Lunatic Red Eyes), along with just decimating any foes weak to Moon. Along with the decent Slice Scaling on the attack, the bullets have Killers against Youkai, Humans, and even more to ensure critical hits on a wide variety of foes.
Critical Buff and Debuff Utility
B3 Yorihime’s comrades can receive Yang ATK UP from Skill 1 and CRIT ATK UP from Skill 3, helping increase the damage of the team’s Killer bullets. On top of that, she is great at debuffing the foes, particularly through Skill 2. When it comes down to it, B3 Yorihime is able to make effective use of each and every Skill in some way, benefiting your side.
Character Weaknesses
Breaks Outside of Moon on Last Word are Mediocre
B3 Yorihime’s core element is Moon (as shown on her Last Word), but her whole kit seems to have a whole lot of other elements scattered in her kit. Her Spread and Focus Shot have Water and Metal respectively, Spell Card 1 has an even mix of Fire and Wood, Spell Card 2 has 3 Star, but her Last Word makes up for this with 6 Moon lines on top of Moon slightly appearing elsewhere. Anomaly utility is also snuck in, with Paralyze both inflicted onto an enemy then broken via Spell Card 1, and can potentially break Freeze and Paralyze anomalies on Spell Card 2 and Last Word respectively, all of the above achieved at 3P.
Support is Helpful, but Short-Lived
While B3 Yorihime’s team support is by no means bad, its main problem is just the fact none of it can last longer than 2 turns naturally. Her Yang ATK and CRIT ATK support via Skills 1 and 3 only lasts 2 turns, her Boost and Graze effects in the form on party-wide Accuracy and CRIT ATK are 1 turn, and her Debuffs via means such as Skill 2 and Last Word also last 2 Turns. B3 Yorihime is a case of “Strike while the iron is hot!” when it comes to her buff/debuff durations unless Story Cards and external support say otherwise.
