What's really unnerving about this attack, though, is the fact that nine players aren't enough to form a baseball team... You still need substitutes and a coach!

Only magical pitches that would likely be effective in baseball's homeland are labeled as Great Magic Balls, but this pitch utilizes Sekibanki's magic, so it may well be against the rules. Then again, just like the true nature of youkai, the mechanisms underlying magical pitches are unknown. So for now, she's allowed to use it.

Their heads are said to detach from their bodies and fly around for prolonged periods before returning, a characteristic they share with rokurokubi. However, one theory suggests this is simply a metaphor for dreaming.
For Sekibanki, perhaps the tropical Gensokyo stirs in her a feeling of having returned to her homeland. That's right. This Gensokyo may be the key to unlocking her full potential...Or maybe not! Today, she's once again pitching while Kagerou and Wakasagihime cheer her on.

Character Analysis
Sekibanki (Beach Dullahan) was released on February 15th 2024 on Epic Prayer "Scary Summer Strikeout". For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.
The Rokurokubi Horror that aspires to give those around her quite the scare has not only found her way into a world of Eternal Summer, but she also has a knack for the pitcher role in baseball games while creating a whole team consisting of her own heads! Coincidentally, she has also found herself playing baseball against a surprising karakasa-obake who is looking to be a surprising smashing success! Can this version of Sekibanki prove she has what it takes to throw down and strike success?
C3 Sekibanki is a Speed-Class Friend who throws down with lots of Spirit Power, multiple means of Yang DEF/CRIT DEF debuffing, Freeze anomaly inflict/break potential and great Slice Scaling with the help of a high 1740 Agility and a Agility II buff.
As an Attacker / Supporter / Debuffer
- Very high Yang ATK/Agility stats at 1940 and 1740 respectively.
- Increases her bullet lines’ damage by 55% if they are resisted against the enemy, including Metal, Sun and most commonly Fire elemental bullets.
- Lots of Spirit Power buffs for herself, including through her Skill 1 (2.00), Spell Card 1 and 2’s Post-ATKs (Both 1.40), Passive 3 (0.40) and some very slight Spirit Power gain via self-inflicted Paralyze anomalies.
- Small Yang ATK buff on 2 Spread Shot bullet lines.
- Slight CRIT ATK buff for the team on Last Word’s Pre-ATK.
- A myriad of Yang DEF debuffs against all enemies across her entire kit, included in Skill 2, Spell Card 1 and 2’s Pre-ATKs and Last Word Pre-ATKs. Also has 2 Focus Shot bullet lines that debuff an enemy’s Yang DEF as well as a Passive 2 that does just this.
- A good amount of CRIT DEF debuffs on all enemies with Skills 2 and 3, Spell Card 2 Pre-ATK and Last Word Pre-ATK.
- Accuracy buffs for the team with Skill 1 and Spell Card 2 Pre-ATK. Also has a slight Accuracy buff for herself with a Spread Shot bullet line.
- Agility buffs for the team with Skill 1, Spell Card 1 Pre-ATK, Last Word Pre-ATK and when Boosting.
- Agility II buff of 2 Stages for herself with Skill 3.
- The above Agility/Agility II buffs can also contribute to C3 Sekibanki’s Slice Scaling, with 188% on her Last Word and 88% on the rest.
- C3 Sekibanki’s Killer Range includes Aquatic, Swimsuit, Summer, Beast, Beast Youkai, Kaiju, Human Village, Misty Lake and Bamboo Forest of the Lost.
As a Utility / Breaker
- Has Sun, Metal and mostly Fire elemental bullets. Sun appears in the lesser parts of both Shots and Spell Card 1, Metal appears in mainly her Spread Shot, Spell Card 1 and even in some of her Last Word. As for Fire, it appears 6 times in Spell Card 2, and commonly in her Focus Shot and Last Word.
- Gains Agility, Accuracy and Evasion buffs through Burn/Freeze anomaly inflictions. Can inflict Burn anomalies onto herself with some Spell Card 2 Bullet Lines.
- Gains 0.20 Spirit Power when inflicted with Paralyze anomalies. There are few ways to do this on some bullet lines.
- Freeze anomaly inflictions on enemies achieved with Skill 2, Spell Card 1 Pre-ATK and Last Word Pre-ATK. Can Freeze anomaly break with Solo-Targeting Focus Shot (1P), All-Targeting Spell Card 1 (2P) and All-Targeting Last Word (3P). Can also potentially inflict 6 Freeze anomalies on enemies that can be broken all on her own.
- Grants herself 3 Barriers with Skill 3.
Story Card Recommendations
(Card recommendations last updated on February 15, 2024)
Spell Card
C3 Sekibanki will definitely benefit from Yang ATK and CRIT ATK buffing Story Cards to make up for her lack of it already. If you want to support allies with Spirit Power though, that’s always an option too, as well as adding to the already large pile of Yang DEF and CRIT DEF debuffs. If you aren’t worried about those buffs though, or you are already covered with her, you can then look to Spell Card damage, such as Fire element and/or Light bullet boosting cards for Spell Card 2, and for the other Spell Card, you can head to Heavy-Boosting Cards and Metal elemental Boosting Cards too.

Last Word
Summer God, Fantasy Sea
The Secret God of the Sky
Incident Shrine
Silver Gale
Red Hot Polaris
Bonds of Blood
It’s no surprise that Fear the Tropical Nine! would end up being C3 Sekibanki’s best pick for her Last Word. Because of its Heavy + Fire boost by 45% and 50% respectively (and yet another stage of Yang DEF being debuffed), it’s somewhat unrivaled in that regard. However, other options for Heavy Bullet boosting Cards include Summer God Fantasy Sea, The Secret God of the Sky and Incident Shrine, boosting it by 50%. Meanwhile, it’s also possible to head to Fire element boosting bullets like Silver Gale, Red Hot Polaris and Bonds of Blood.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
The first Skill to pitch will have to be the first one, Red Shutout due to that Spirit Power buff going from 1.00 to 2.00, also coming with more Agility and Accuracy to the team. Next up will be the one in the middle, No Hits, No Runs. On top of more stages of CRIT DEF and Yang DEF debuffed and more Freeze anomalies, the cooldown of this Skill also goes from 3 Turns to 2. And let’s head to the last Skill, Last Perfect Game, which does actually increase her Agility II from 1 to 2 stages, but also her own Barrier count and doubles down further on CRIT DEF debuffing.
Character Strengths
Speedy Spirit Power Pitcher
C3 Sekibanki has great access to Spirit Power via multiple means, from 2.00 Spirit Power from Skill 1 (with a 4T cooldown), a Passive that gives her 0.40 every turn, her ability that gives her 0.20 Spirit Power when inflicted with a Paralyze anomaly, and both Spell Card Post-ATKs giving 1.40 Spirit Power to herself. While these buffs aren’t for the team, that’s where her Agility and Accuracy buffs in her kit come in. However, her great access to Spirit Power can also benefit the following icebreaker…
Cool Anomaly Breaker
When it comes to inflicting and breaking Freeze anomalies, C3 Sekibanki goes about it with a cool head, inflicting 3 Freeze anomalies on all enemies on her Skill 2 (which has a 2 Turn Cooldown) as well as another 3 Freeze anomalies with Spell Card 1’s Pre-ATK. Thanks to the same Spell Card’s Freeze break at 2P as well as the aforementioned great Spirit Power gain. With the potential to break 6 Freeze anomalies right away, you can count on C3 Sekibanki to have a ball throwing down with Freeze anomalies!
Having a Ball with Debuffs
C3 Sekibanki is able to consistently churn out Yang DEF and CRIT DEF debuffs, such as with Skill 2, which has a 2T Cooldown Skill. However, despite those debuffs also lasting 2 turns, Skill 3 can keep those CRIT DEF debuffs lasting longer and her Spell Cards double down further on these debuffs. These will mainly help a lot against enemies without Barriers to break on their last gauge.
Character Weaknesses
Needs a Banki’s Worth of Yang ATK and CRIT ATK Buffs
While C3 Sekibanki’s debuff potential is impressive and in some cases a potential band-aid for the lack of the following, it doesn’t change the fact that it is unfortunate to see C3 Sekibanki heavily lack Yang ATK buffs to get her damage up as well as CRIT ATK buffs, assuming those CRITs land…
Poor Pitch of Power
Speaking of CRIT damage, C3 Sekibanki also has to worry about her average range of Killers and surprisingly, a somewhat underwhelming overall damage output in the grand scheme of things. Her Killer range is mostly carried by Beast and Beast Youkai, as well as Summer and Swimsuit against other C3 enemies so it’s going to be very difficult for her to land guaranteed critical strikes, resulting in a lackluster damage output if those Killers don’t land, although the 55% boost on any resisted elemental damage is fairly helpful
