Stories

Story 1

"Before I knew it, I was in the middle of a forest. I had no idea how I'd gotten there, but there was definitely something strange about the forest.

There was a delicious smell in the air. I knew what it was right away―freshly baked bread. As I walked through the forest, guided by the mouthwatering aroma, I came across two young girls.

""Welcome to the Magic Bakery!"" they said with radiant smiles."

Story 2

"Marisa Kirisame is the other magician running the bakery with me! She let us set up shop in front of her house, but she's always finding ways to dodge bread making. Just 'cause I'm a magic jizou doesn't mean I can go without sleep and rest, you know?!

Narumi Yatadera is the magic jizou running the bakery with Marisa. That's right, I'm talking about myself in the third person! I do my best so everyone gets to eat delicious bread... Huh? What about the straw rice bags? Don't you know jizou these days prefer to reward virtuous deeds with bread? Besides, rice is, like, super heavy!"

Story 3

"All right, let's get ready to open the bakery!

First, we gotta arrange the freshly baked bread, cookies, and all of the baked treats... Hmm, it sure is tempting to eat all of these. Naruko would definitely get mad at me if I did, though. That's why I only eat a few.

Hm? What's our top-seller? That'd be our baked jizou cookies! Thinking about jizou that can't move sure takes me back! The jellyfish bread sells pretty well, too, but everyone tends to avoid the Rod of Remorse baguettes. I always take the leftovers down to the Sanzu River's shinigami. ...Why do I do that? 'Cause I like seeing her reaction, of course!"

Story 4

"Cooking in Xanadu ~With Veggies & Prayers~
How to get kids who don't like veggies to eat veggies? If you're out of ideas, why not try mixing them in with bread doughs and cake batters? (The veggies, not the kids.)

These breads and cakes don't look like veggies, so kids shouldn't mind eating them. And if the flavors are well-balanced, they'll soon be begging for more. And, of course, kids who don't mind eating their veggies will also enjoy these healthy treats!"

Story 5

"""OK, gimme one of the star loaves and one jizou cookie―""

As soon as I placed my order, the world around me vanished, and suddenly, I was awake. That's right. It was all a dream. It's a shame I didn't get to try anything before I woke up, though.

Just then, I smelled something delicious. It was the smell of freshly baked bread. I turned my head, guided by the mouthwatering aroma, and saw a star-shaped loaf of bread and a jizou-shaped cookie placed neatly on the table. And at that moment, I could've sworn I heard someone say...

""Thanks for visiting the Magic Bakery!"""
