Botzu's Quick Evaluation

+E2 Talent: Increased attack range at the cost of increased attack interval
+ Decently durable
+ Slow and freeze can be very useful against enemies with extremely high ATK
+ Offers melee grid deployment option different from Slower Supporters.
- When compared to a Slower Supporter, her slow has limited up-time (only active during Skills), smaller range, and has no multi-target. The Freeze is unreliable with relatively low proc chance.
- Lower DPS than 3 Star Midnight at equal levels.

Operator Overview

“I began wielding this axe before I even learned to read.”

Child soldier Frostleaf feels blessed to have had the chance to blossom into a music-obsessed goth under the care of Rhodes Island. To repay her perceived debt, she wields her rime-encrusted poleaxe as a 4* Ranged Guard with the ability to Slow her enemies.

Frostleaf keeps enemies under control from a distance with a barrage of Slows. At E2, she gains the Covered Strike Talent, which delays her attack interval slightly in return for expanding her attack range beyond that of most Ranged Guards. Her Slows come from her two Skills. Frost Tomahawk (Skill 1) triggers extra damage and a Slow effect on her next attack every few seconds. The stronger but slower-to-charge Ice Tomahawk (Skill 2) offers a large ASPD boost, a stronger Slow effect, and a chance to Freeze (cannot move but can still attack) enemies in place with each attack made while the Skill is active.

This gives Frostleaf an interesting niche, but it’s not a niche all Doctors will need. Frostleaf only Slows enemies while her Skills are active, so a Supporter Operator like Earthspirit is more reliable when Slows are needed. On top of that, Frostleaf compensates for her utility with relatively low damage output, and she doesn’t deal Arts damage to make up for this like most Supporter Operators do. That being said, Frostleaf can be deployed on ground tiles, while Supporters cannot, and she has a very different range pattern, which is sometimes important. Frostleaf shouldn’t be a priority investment for most Doctors, but she brings together useful qualities that can lead to some fun strategies.

Base Skill Analysis

Frostleaf gains her second RIIC Skill at Elite 1.

Is it worth it?  Probably. This is the second-highest Factory buff, but Frostleaf will not be deployed often unless you lack ranged guards. This will pay for itself over 2-3 months but has an upfront cost of more than an entire day’s worth of sanity.

Profile

Frostleaf is a former Columbian Junior Army soldier, "retired" after her unit was destroyed. Came into contact with Rhodes Island later as a mercenary, before officially joining following a period of collaboration with the company.
Extensive combat experience and undeniably skilled, Frostleaf is an excellent asset to Rhodes Island.

Clinical Analysis

Increase Trust to 25.
Imaging tests on this Operator showed blurry internal organs with clearly visible dark spots. Unusually high concentrations of Originium particles were present in her circulatory system, indicating infection and confirming her as Infected at this stage.

[Cell-Originium Assimilation] 16%
The infection has advanced to mid-stage. Crystal formations are clearly visible on the operator's arms.

[Blood Originium-Crystal Density] 0.35u/L
Likely owing to her previous affiliation, Frostleaf's Oripathy had spread to such a degree by the time she joined Rhodes Island that I could not be optimistic about her chances. However, her current course of treatment has put her in a relatively stable condition. Hooray. Hooray.

Archive File 1

Increase Trust to 50.
Frostleaf is something of a loner. One of our most combat experienced operators.
She dresses in hip, stylish outfits and enjoys listening to music alone in a quiet corner.

Archive File 2

Increase Trust to 100.
Frostleaf is one of the most experienced combatants in the entire company. The battlefield is like her own backyard.
That is not something to be terribly cheered about though, because it means, given her age, she never had a normal childhood.
Not to mention, given Columbia's clashes with neighboring countries in the past decade and frequent skirmishes besides, one can easily imagine what kind of life Frostleaf has led.
Older operators still remember when Frostleaf first arrived, and report that she's a lot more outgoing now than she was then.

Archive File 3

Increase Trust to 150.
Rhodes Island recruited Frostleaf back when she was a mercenary, but upon her official admission, Dr. Kal'tsit ordered her to take only one mission--convalescing as a patient.
That presented a huge quandary, since Frostleaf up to this point had known nothing but war.
Fortunately, with help from the island's diverse population, Frostleaf gradually learned to enjoy life outside combat, which has opened her eyes to a whole new world.

Archive File 4

Increase Trust to 200.
After a considerable period of treatment and adapting to a life off the battlefield, Frostleaf thought she would return again to the world of war. She sought clearance from Dr. Kal'tsit but was denied a full release. Instead, Kal'tsit granted her permission for just one excursion.
Frostleaf confidently strode into battle, eager to fight again, only to discover how difficult it had become for her to swing a weapon at an enemy. She later confessed that she was overwhelmed by the memory of her struggles in the Junior Army, something she thought she had completely left behind her.
She audibly wept on the field that day.
From then on, Frostleaf slowly turned into what she is now: a music lover, a fashionista, and a bit of a loner.
