干员隐现,本名里凯莱·科伦波。干员送葬人在向我们介绍这位公证所同僚时,略有提及干员隐现是一位比他还要资深的执行者,有着丰富的任务经验,而隐现在来到罗德岛之后的表现也印证了这一点。干员隐现待人接物的态度随和友好,最初大家曾一度欣慰地认为他与见行者是同一类人物,但相处日久,我们逐渐意识到两人之间巨大的差异。
如果说见行者是毋庸置疑的温和热心,隐现的行事风格则是老练的、圆滑的。他在日常工作中将明哲保身这一宗旨发扬到了相当高的水准,我们不得不承认,没有可观的工龄,确实很难拥有这样的职场见解。
关于送葬人与见行者究竟谁才代表公证所的正统风格,谁又是其中异类的争论,到现在应当可以暂时告一段落了。对几位合作干员的了解越深,我们就越发认识到一点——

与我们所接触的大多数拉特兰人一样,干员隐现也十分喜爱甜食。迄今为止,我们的拉特兰干员已经以各种各样的名目举办了不下十次甜品大赛,而在最新的一届大赛中,隐现自制的糖霜甜甜圈因其惊人的糖度而震撼全场,就连最爱吃甜食的拉特兰人都不得不承认,这份甜甜圈实在是太过甜腻了,每吃下一口,都仿佛能感觉到脂肪在增加。隐现承认自己对原本的食谱进行了改良——他几乎将记载的砂糖投入量翻了两番,但是这样的糖度,对于他来说却是刚刚好。
我们猜测,干员隐现之所以会如此热爱甜食,或许与其童年经历息息相关。从能够查找到的资料来看,萨科塔的孩子流落在外的情况是十分少见的,我们并不清楚究竟是什么原因,导致隐现从小失去父母,在叙拉古边境某个小镇的街头长大,但这些经历无疑深深地影响了他。隐现度过了一个物质与精神都比较匮乏的童年,我们了解到,在其长大的街区里,有一座凋零破败的小教堂,那里仅有一位萨科塔老修士坐镇,平日里无人问津,但也正因有这样的一处避风港,隐现与其他一些浪迹街头的孩子才有机会顺利长大。
如果没有出现意外,那么可以预见,隐现或许会选择加入当地的某个小家族,成为打手中的一员,但一支因任务而路过此地的拉特兰小队的出现,改变了他之后的人生轨迹。这队拉特兰人在街头发现了这个衣衫破旧、眼神警惕的萨科塔少年,了解过他的身世后,他们决定将这个孩子带回拉特兰,让他过上一个萨科塔本应有的幸福生活。
萨科塔少年在前往拉特兰的路上,才尝到了人生中的第一块糖果。
就此爱上甜味,似乎是一件再顺理成章不过的事情了。

干员隐现自与罗德岛合作以来,任务的完成度是有目共睹的。与他的同僚送葬人一样,不论多么棘手的任务,只要交到隐现的手中,他都会设法将其完成。当然,首先必须达成的前提是——要成功让隐现答应接下这类棘手的任务。毕竟,隐现对于麻烦的任务向来敬而远之,其顾左右而言其他的本领实在称得上炉火纯青。
大多数时候,隐现都不太乐意接手一些一看就很麻烦、不好处理,或是责任重大的委托。他并不掩饰自己的态度,相比起追捕通缉犯或是潜入指定任务地点之类的任务,隐现更喜欢处理拉特兰公民日常生活中的种种琐事,与一些让人哭笑不得的乌龙事件打交道,只有在实在无人可派的情况下,他才会一边叹气,一边出手利落地解决事件(或者引发事件的人),并毫不手软地申请大笔加班费用。
正因干员隐现一直以来表现出的,对麻烦事避之不及的态度,当他开口询问罗德岛是否能够接收一些萨卡兹帮工时,众人才会如此惊讶。

一个真正的、纯粹的、拉特兰的萨科塔,会拥有什么样的特质?
观察并比较那些我们熟知的萨科塔干员,以及其他有所接触的萨科塔,再结合对拉特兰这座城市的了解,我们尝试列举出一些初步的结论。有人说萨科塔乐观,也有人说萨科塔快乐,而隐现给了我们另一个回答。
他认为一个最典型的萨科塔,往往会是“盲目”的。
隐现解释说,在这里使用这一词语,并不含有任何贬低的意思。这不是说典型的萨科塔没有见识或缺乏目标,而是取更加直白的释义——生活在拉特兰的萨科塔,多半从未真正理解拉特兰之外的人们是如何生活的。
这些顶着光环、生着光翼的萨科塔,大多乐观向上,无忧无虑,他们可能会在街头巷尾制造些小小爆炸,每天引发不少混乱,令戍卫队与公证所为之奔走,但拉特兰城始终是有序的,那些小热闹反而为其增添光彩,不可动摇的秩序隐藏在萨科塔公民随性的举动之下。他们中的大多数从未经历过物质的短缺,从未感受过何为不公、何为无理,以致这些词语不会在他们的脑中留下任何明确的印象。正因从未有此考虑,所以不会为此不安。
“谁也没法让一个从没有见过圆形的人,去描述什么是圆形吧?”干员隐现这样对我们说,“不过这又有什么关系呢?如果能一直这么生活下去,不也挺好的吗?”

谈话时,隐现的语气中是否有羡慕?我不能确定。
我曾觉得干员送葬人是萨科塔中的那个异类,毕竟他一看就那么特殊,那么格格不入,而且毫不遮掩。但是干员隐现?我不好说,他平时看起来和那些乐观开朗的萨科塔没什么两样,我之前一直觉得他就是最常见的那种萨科塔。
现在看来,我的判断似乎大错特错。
隐现似乎只是非常想成为一个最常见的萨科塔。

晚上大约是九点多的时候吧,隔壁传来第一声巨响,听起来是有什么东西炸掉了。当时我刚到家没多久,正忙着打扫家里的卫生,还有收拾衣柜。差不多快要换季了,我想着得提前准备好......哦,对,我没去看隔壁的情况,当时我确实没把这事当回事,爆炸而已嘛,大家早就习惯了,只要墙没倒,一般来说都出不了什么大问题。
但是很快我就觉得有点不对了,从邻居家传来了一种......呃,很难形容的味道,硬要比喻的话,大概就是那种......被窖藏了三十年,铁皮上的字迹都脱落了的鳞罐头......不止,还要往里面加入口味纯正的维多利亚花纹芝士......混合起来......在加热到沸腾之后忽然炸开才会有的,呃,那种冲击性的气味吧?抱歉,果然很难描述,我觉得当时我的嗅觉可能有点失灵了。
总之,气味飘过来之后没多久,火就烧起来了。对,是我灭的火,也是我报的案。公证所的处理人......嗯,哈哈,也是我。问题不大,因为火情发现得早,街坊损失都不大,这种规模的事故公证所一天少说也得处理个五六七八件吧。家里的东西稍微受了点波及,门口的柜子和墙壁被烧到了一点,但没有什么特别贵重的物品损失,我列了一个清单,能给你们省点工夫,等这趟笔录做完就差不多可以下班了。
