Overview

As the sole 4★ Shadow Staff user, Cleo falls easily into her role and serves it well for a Story Adventurer. With new Mana Spirals, Cleo now sports both burst and regen healing, and can easily keep her teammates topped off. Furthermore, Cleo joins an elite pool of dispel users and is a welcome sight for those attempting to enter Kai Yan. 

Strengths

Robust Healing

Burst and regen healing cover most scenarios and are ideal for maintaining %HP conditionals in the face of chip damage.

Dispel

In the absence of Nefaria or Gala Alex, it falls upon Cleo to remove Kai Yan's recurring shield. 

Resilient

With a DEF active skill and generous passive DEF, Cleo is built to take hits. 

Weaknesses

High SP Costs

This is mitigated for the first cast with sufficient Skill Prep, but subsequent Skill charges will take several Staff combos.  

No Targeted Healing

Cleo can't cover for any one ally in particular, so her teamwide heals must be "wasted" on healthy adventurers. 

Dragon Recommendations

  • Nidhogg and High Zodiark are what Cleo will have to make do with until HP Shadow Dragons release. Silke serves as the 4★ split Dragon counterpart.
  • Marishiten and Juggernaut might be worth considering if Cleo can afford to forego extra healing for additional Strength.
  • Martimus and Gloom Drake make decent budget options for Cleo.

Weapon Recommendations

Caduceus: Provides the most amount of raw stats, with an extra self-AoE attack Skill.

Aria of Lamentation: Used for High Jupiter's Trial.

Beauty's Balm: Cleo's best option for a staff with a healing Skill.

Wyrmprint Recommendations

Pair 1

  • Pair 1: This is a general purpose set for most content. New World Escort rounds out Cleo's Skill Prep to a full 100% along with additional Healing Potency, and Give Me Your Wounded maxes out Healing Potency on Wyrmprints while also supplying a Defense boost at full HP. For High Jupiter's Trial, Cleo may opt to replace Give Me Your Wounded with King of the Skies for additional durability.
