Overview
Safeties are off, and Gala Laxi definitely pulls no punches. She may be classified as a Dagger but her generous range and safety are reminiscent of a Bow’s. Her cyclical playstyle involves charging her unique gauge then unleashing punishing Eden Mode skills. As icing on the cake, she even gets an auto-turret for additional chip damage. All these factors combine to give Marth a run for his money and place Laxi comfortably atop the Flame roster.
Strengths
Burst and Sustained DamageÂ
The combination of powerful Eden mode skills and Fig’s fire-and-forget nature accord Laxi ridiculous damage output. All the while, enhanced standard attacks and Critical Frenzy ensure that Laxi’s pain train never slows down.Â
Dual ImmunityÂ
Laxi is viable across all Wind content. Within Volk, she can freely step on both red and green bombs without fear.
Weaknesses
Gauge ChargingÂ
Fig’s ticks don't qualify as skill damage so activating Eden mode without a full charge gauge will lead to suboptimal results and devalue subsequent skills for the next 20 seconds.
SelfishÂ
Laxi provides no team support outside of slight Burn contributions. On the other hand, Marth provides robust team support while shelling out similar damage.
Dragon Recommendations
Gala Mars: Use him if you got him.
Apollo capitalizes on a Burn-laden meta but will fall off over longer fights.Â
Arctos synergizes well with Critical Frenzy.Â
Ifrit is a usable budget STR pick.

Budget Option: Aeternal Flame

Pair 1
Nothing special here, leverage both Dagger-specific picks and close out with Crit Damage.Â
