Skill

Mont3r
Level 10 Effect
Cost: 7 Fairy Commands

In the next battle, summon ‘Mont3r’ to attract enemy fire. The summon will have 2100 HP and deal 10,000 damage and pushes back all frontline units every 10 seconds. Does not ignore armor or force shields.

Overview

Kal’tsit, the greatest doctor in Rhode Island. Besides her being one of the oldest characters we’ve ever seen in Girls’ Frontline, is she worth even glancing at? Is she able to actually change the nearly frozen Fairy meta?

Let’s talk about Kal’tsit’s aura first, and yes, it looks pretty similar to Taunt fairy. In fact, just like Taunt, she can fit in pretty much every team you’re thinking of, whether it be MGSG or HGRF. Her offensive stats aren’t bad at all and are enough to burst some specific enemies with the right comp. Nothing really special to say there.

Her skill, Mont3r, is the most powerful combat skill we've seen since Beach Fairy. In fact, she even steals this Fairy’s job, while also making Mortar, Airstrike and Sniper look like a bunch of weaklings. It deals 10,000 damage, while using a dummy that taunts enemies, has higher HP than Taunt Fairy herself, and ALSO pushes back enemies. The only downside about this skill is that the push can be really inconsistent at times depending on the position of the enemies on the field when it activates, and the cost is the heaviest we’ve ever seen in the game.

Talent-wise, the recommendations stay the same as usual: Fervor and Damage I & II. This time though, we recommend the Fervor talent over Damage, because Kal’tsit is awesome in long fights, and this talent makes this even more true.

Overall, Kal’tsit is probably one of the strongest fairies we’ve ever seen in Girls’ Frontline and is obviously a top priority for new players joining during the collab.

Strengths

+ Ultimate taunt skill

Twin Fairy was already doing what Mont3r does, but it isn’t as powerful as this skill. 10 000. TEN THOUSAND FLAT DAMAGE. Do you realise it is enough to destroy any kind of enemy really quickly ?

+ Decent Aura

Her aura is similar to another fairy: Taunt, and just like taunt, her aura is powerful. With those stats, Kal’tsit can fit in any team you want

+ Unique behaviour

Not only does Kal’tsit have the most useful combat skill among all the fairies, but she also has one of the best crowd control effects available. Kal’tsit can be expected to see use in potentially all future ranking events to come, because pushing back enemies once is something, but pushing them back multiple times after a certain length of time is something else entirely special. It allows you to not only avoid damage, but also to kill nearly impossible enemies.

+ Cheap enhancement

Due to her being an extra Fairy, Kal’tsit needs only 550 exp in total instead of 3000, making her cheaper to maximize.

Weaknesses

- Eating your Fairy Points

Unfortunately, greatness has to be nerfed somewhere, and in Kal’tsit’s case, the nerf is on her skill’s cost. If you use it too carelessly, you’re going to run out of Fairy points really quickly.

- Event Fairy

Kal’tsit was a collaboration event reward, so unless Arknights collab gets a rerun, she is unlikely to return.
