The Ame no Iwakusufune is believed to be the same vessel as the Tori no Iwakusufune, a.k.a. the Ame no Torifune, which in turn, is the same entity as the divine bird, Ame no Hinadori. Furthermore, it's theorized that this divine entity, Futsunushi, and Inasehagi are all the same god. If that's the case, then this god is an extremely powerful and important figure that played a central role in the myth of kuni-yuzuri (transfer of the land) along with Takeminakata.
The idea of a bird being a boat is not the least bit strange since, in ancient times, the sky and the sea were thought of as extensions of the land.

Character Analysis
Eika Ebisu was released on September 14th 2023 on the VS Divergent Spirits Ritual Prayers Pool. For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.
Being a stillborn soul, yet also being a strong stone stacker is quite the feat. Coming from a place where the stillborn souls originate from, her emotions are very much what you would expect from a less mature being, and she is very much going to have emotional outbursts if someone knocks down her tower of stones. When careless humans aren’t taking it for granted though, Eika Ebisu’s stone stacking talents have taken her to champion status! Will she ever meet her match, or will her record in stone stacking stand strong?
Eika Ebisu is a Debuff-Class Friend who can stack up debuffs such as Yin DEF, pull off some Water and Earth Breaks and Freeze her foes.
As a Debuffer
- Yin DEF debuffs on all enemies via Skill 3 and Last Word Pre-ATK, as well as on a single enemy via Spell Card 1 Pre-ATK.
- Evasion debuffs on all enemies with Skill 3.
- Yin ATK debuffs on an enemy through Spell Card 2 Pre-ATK.
- Accuracy debuffs via Skill 2.
As an Attacker
- Skill 2 grants Eika 1.00 Spirit Power.
- Gains Yin DEF via Spell Card 2 Pre-ATK, which goes towards her Hard Scaling on Spell Card 2 and Last Word to further boost her damage output.
- Grazing can grant Eika Accuracy.
- Last Word’s Pre-ATK grants the team some CRIT ATK.
- Tiny Yin ATK boost on a Last Word bullet line.
- Killer range includes Human, Beast, Bird, Soul, Insect, Undead, Fairy and Soul.
As a Utility
- Freeze inflictions achieved via Skill 1, which can be broken via Spread Shot (1P) and Last Word (2P).
- Can inflict back Freeze anomalies onto enemies when Eika is inflicted with them.
- Takes 25% less damage from Liquid Bullets via Passive 1.
- Slight Focus DOWN on Spread Shot and Spell Card 2.
Story Card Recommendations

Spell Card
Eika will need some help when it comes to Spirit Power, Yin ATK, CRIT ATK and possibly some Accuracy if she can’t always fall back on Evasion debuffs or Grazing for more Accuracy. Once these are covered, an option is to focus purely on Spell Card power, like with Heavy boosting Cards for Spell Card 1. Spell Card 2 is a bit awkward with its mix of Normal and Light, but there is a bit more on the Normal side and Nameless Adventurers also has the bonus of boosting the team’s Yang ATK.
Yin ATK UP: Tenma Mountain Starfall, Rainbow Dragon Cave, New Year’s Shrine Visit VI, Redder Than Blood, Overwhelming Firepower, Mansion of Memories, Shrine Maiden Reborn, A Curious Festival

Last Word
Stand-In Shrine Maiden
Incident Shrine
Beach Sanshoku Geidontei
Choose an Animal Spirit
Eating Contest
Rainbow Dragon Cave
Eika’s Last Word has Body bullets, which means cards like Stand-In Shrine Maiden, Incident Shrine, Beach Sanshoku Geidontei and Choose an Animal Spirit are the best picks for the 50% Boost in Body Bullets. Eating Contest also serves as a viable option for its 45% Boost in it, and if Eika’s Yin ATK isn’t stacked up enough, a card like Rainbow Dragon Cave will help with just that, while also slightly boosting Body Bullets by 15% in the process.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Since Spirit Power is important to stack up, Idol Age will come first here. Next up will be Blessed God of Exile because of that all-important Yin DEF and Evasion Debuff potential. Last up shall be Mass Spirit Mischief, which is just an additional layer of Freeze onto all enemies.
Character Strengths
Stacked Debuffs
Eika’s Skill 3 is very helpful when it comes to Yin DEF and Evasion debuffs. In addition, more Yin DEF debuffs can be achieved by simply using Spell Card 1 (single target) or Last Word (all targets), which can help in terms of damage output for either Eika or for other Yin allies.
Decent Earth and Water Breaks
With both Spell Card 1 and Last Word having 3 lines of Water and Earth, Eika is not too shabby when it comes to her break potential. In addition, Spell Card 2 has 2 of each, and Spread Shot is Water focused whereas Focus Shot is more down to Earth, each having 3 breaks.
Character Weaknesses
Needs Help Stacking Up Buffs
While there are very slight ways Eika can grant buffs, such as Accuracy by Grazing, Yin DEF on Spell Card 2, CRIT ATK on Last Word Pre-ATK, and Yin ATK on the same Last Word’s bullet line, naturally this debuffer will need help with Yin ATK and CRIT ATK, as well as possibly Accuracy and Yin DEF to a lesser extent.
