Character Analysis
Tenshi Hinanawi (Flaming Gale Rider) was released on August 25th 2023 on "Ultra Festival Prayer: Heavenly Highway Racer." For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.
Oh heavens, here comes Racer No.104, using her gifted Celestial powers to turn up the heat on the tracks! With the key(stone)s to the Celestial kingdom and a new vehicle called Flaming Gale to grace the tracks, can this world’s Tenshi Hinanawi turn up the heat against her Buddhist rival? Ultimately, can this passtime provide this Celestial with enough fun to prevent her from causing any havoc? Let’s hope she stays down to earth (maybe literally) during this need for speed!
T5 Tenshi Hinanawi is a Speed Class Friend with strong Slice Scaling, a massive Killer range including Gensokyo and Youkai Killers, lots of Fire and Wood breaks on Spell Cards and the potential to hit an enemy with many Burn/Poison anomalies.
As a Attacker / Supporter / Debuffer
- Increases damage to enemies with elemental bullets effective against any target(s) by 40%. This can apply to Earth and Metal in Spread and Focus Shots as well as Fire and Wood in Spell Cards and Last Word.
- A great chunk of Spirit Power to gain in her kit. Such as 1.75 Spirit Power on Skill 3 for herself, 0.25 on Skill 2 for the team, 0.15 on her Passive 1 every turn and 1.75 on Spell Card 1 Post-ATK.
- Yang ATK buff for the team on Last Word Pre-ATK
- Yang DEF debuffs on enemies via Skill 1, and Spell Card 1 Pre-ATK.
- CRIT DEF debuffing via Last Word Pre-ATK.
- Can really boost the team’s Agility by Grazing, using Skill 1 and Spell Card 2 Pre-ATK. Solo Agility buffs include Last Word Pre-ATK and some various bullet lines.
- Accuracy buffs for the team by using Skill 2.
- Has both Hard and Slice Scaling to help boost her damage output, moreso the latter. All lines on Last Word have 125% Scaling.
- Has a very strong Killer range which includes Gensokyo, Youkai, Heaven, Human, Racer, Hakurei Shrine and Celestial.
As a Utility
- Evasion buffs with Skill 3, Spell Card 2 and Last Word Pre-ATKs.
- Increases the team’s Barrier count by 1-2 Layers.
- Thanks to her Ability, is unaffected by Burn and Poison anomalies.
- Inflicts 4 Layers of Burn to an enemy via Skill 1 and Spell Card 2 Pre-ATK. Burn anomalies can be broken via Spell Card 1 (2P), Spell Card 2 (1P) and Last Word (3P).
- Inflicts 4 Layers of Poison to an enemy via Spell Card 1 Pre-ATK. Poison anomalies can be broken via Spell Card 1 (2P) and Last Word (3P)
Story Card Recommendations
(Card recommendations last updated on August 24, 2023)
Spell Card
T5 Tenshi desperately needs CRIT ATK buffs, especially because of her strong Killer range. In addition, a little more Yang ATK and Spirit Power wouldn’t hurt if that is an option. If that is covered, it may also be worth considering using cards to get the most out of both Spell Cards in terms of pure damage, with Heavy boosting ones for the first, and Slash boosters for the second.
CRIT ATK UP: Divine Spirit Tajikarao, Worlds in Hand, New Year’s Shrine Visit VI, Miracle Mallet, Bloody Order, Ordinary Magician, Standing Behind You
Yang ATK UP: Ordinary Magician, Members of the Yakumo Family, How Irrational…, Kasen’s Senkai, Nameless Adventurers, By The Underground Lake
Team Spirit Power UP: Myouren Temple Anniversary, Divine Spirit Tajikarao, Dancers Take the Stage, Utopia Tea Time
Spirit Power UP: The Witch of Scarlet Dreams, Let the Oil Money Flow, Our Dream, Dancer in the Puddle, Mountain of Faith, Youkai Mountain Anniversary, Road of Liminality’s Ennichi, Taking a Breather in Spring, Post-Training Kinako Milk
Accuracy UP: Ability Cards?, Mysterious Sword Master, Taking a Breather in Spring, Valued Tools of the Trade, The Lunar War, Poltergeist Sisters’ Concert, 8th Hakurei Shrine Fall Reitaisai, Shichi-Go-San School Visit?!, Secret Hobby
Heavy Bullet Power UP: The Secret God of the Sky, Summer God Fantasy Sea, Incident Shrine
Slash Bullet Power UP: Mysterious Sword Master, The Moon and Izayoi

Ordinary Magician
With a Laser-focused Last Word, T5 Tenshi definitely benefits from a Story Card that greatly boosts Laser by 50%, such as Night Splitting Light, which also provides T5 Tenshi with the benefit of her enemies getting an additional Yang DEF debuff. In addition, Laser and Wood boosting cards come in the form of Infinity Garden (50% Laser, 40% Wood) and Little Sister and Sweets (45% Laser, 50% Wood). Other lesser options include Occult Circle and Winter Holiday with a 35% Boost in it as well as Ordinary Magician’s 25% Boost, 3 Stages of Yang ATK and 1 Stage of CRIT ATK. Finally, if you want to capitalize on those 4 Fire bullet lines, you could theoretically look to 50% Fire Boosting cards such as Silver Gale and Bonds of Blood, as well as other cards like Bloody Order which boost Fire by 40% as well as 2 stages of CRIT ATK. Ultimately though, a strong 50% Laser booster does the trick.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Skill number 3, Dual Demon Slayer takes pole position here. That extra Spirit Power is helpful here, and while the boost in Evasion for the team is massive, the main things to look out for here are the Spirit Power and the slight cooldown reduction. The runner-up here will be Surging Wind Wheel, and despite the team’s Spirit Power gain remaining unchanged, the cooldown duration is effectively halved from 4 turns to 2 turns, and the Accuracy for the team helps units to connect their bullets. Last but not least is Raging Fire Wheel, which is still a rather good Skill, inflicting more layers of Burn on a target and applying those Yang DEF debuffs on her foes as well as keeping the team up to speed with Agility buffs.
Character Strengths
Colossal Damage as Seen Through a Biker’s Mind
T5 Tenshi knows full well how to deal massive damage numbers as a result of multiple factors: A mix of Slice and Hard scaling to take advantage of (moreso Slice scaling), a 40% Boost in damage if any elements are effective against said target(s) and more importantly, a fantastic Killer range, mainly carried by Gensokyo and Youkai. Other appearing ones include Heaven, Human, Celestial, Racer and Hakurei Shrine. Needless to say, T5 Tenshi is more than capable of dealing massive damage.
Biker in her Element
When it comes to leaving enemies fully broken, T5 Tenshi has what it takes to do just that. While her Spread and Focus Shots have 5 lines of both Earth and Metal elements respectively, her Spell Cards include a lot of Fire and Wood with a slight lean toward Fire. To top it off, her anomaly dealing potential is deadly against a specific enemy, with 4 layers of Burn on Skill 1 and Spell Card 2 which can be broken by any Spell Card or Last Word. Poison inflicting and breaking has a bit of a spotlight, but is only inflicting 4 layers of Poison via Spell Card 1, which is broken by this Spell Card and Last Word.
Spirit Power Soaring to the Sky
Having instant access to 3P just through one’s set of Skills is a very appreciated feat, and like her fellow biker buddhist, T5 Tenshi does just that with 1.75 Spirit Power gained from Skill 3 and 0.25 for the team with Skill 2, being used every other turn. In addition, one of her Passives secures her 0.15 Spirit Power every turn and a Spell Card 1 Post-ATK effect also grants between 0.50 and 1.75 Spirit Power. For the most part, T5 Tenshi isn’t going to be struggling too much when it comes to Spirit Power.
Character Weaknesses
In Need of Down to Earth Offensive Buffs
While T5 Tenshi does have some helpful Yang DEF debuffs, the only form of Yang ATK comes in her Last Word, and it’s definitely possible to work with those buffs and debuffs. That said, CRIT ATK is definitely lacking to say the least. This hurts especially because of T5 Tenshi’s strong Killers, which can still be made up for through Story Cards and/or team support.
