Should You Pull?

Probably not, unless you really want Muelsyse and/or Ho’olheyak.

Muelsyse is limited and quite good, but right now she doesn’t really stand out as much as you might expect. Because her kit revolves around cloning allies for their stats, she’s a “win more” button. She requires you to already have lots of other strong Operators, at which point you might as well use those Operators rather than Muelsyse. That being said, she’s limited and she absolutely has the potential to become busted if the right clone candidate gets released in the future, so if you like Muelsyse as a character or as a concept, it’s worth getting her now.

Ho’olheyak is pretty terrible, but extremely popular as a character, and while her numbers are atrocious, she does feature so much rare, hard-to-find utility that it’s weirdly easy to find a space for her in your strategies. Is she a good use of your resources? No, probably not. If you’re a Ho’olheyak fan, will you regret pulling for her? Also no. So if you like her, go ahead and roll, and if you don’t, you’re not missing anything.

Remember, you should not pull on this banner just because Muelsyse is limited. Be aware of what these Operators do and whether you really want them before you make your final decision about how much to pull.

Keep in mind that all players will be receiving a free 10-pull on this banner and a 5 or higher Operator is guaranteed in the first 10 rolls. So that’s pretty cool!

Quick Overview

Summoner/ Tactician Vanguard

+ Usual archetype strengths: Able to attack at range but also Block on the ground with her minion, which costs no DP to deploy and does not count against the unit limit for a map

+ Copies other Operators and gets various benefits depending on whether her copy target is melee or ranged

+ S2 turns a melee Flowing Shape into a tank (HP regen and Shelter) and causes ranged Flowing Shapes to hit twice, doubling their damage output

+ S3 on a melee Flowing Shape makes it very durable, as it Pulls enemies toward it and Stuns whichever enemy it is Blocking, making it a great laneholder

+ S3 on a ranged Flowing Shape causes its attacks to Bind targets

- Usual archetype weaknesses: Lower DP generation rate than many other Vanguard archetypes, can only deploy her minion within her attack range

- Overall DP generation is kind of low due to Skill cycling, especially since you want to save her Skills for combat rather than printing DP

- You must already have a powerful, versatile roster for Muelsyse to be effective, in which case you can probably just use your roster rather than relying on Muelsyse and her clones

ST/ Core Caster

+ Good source of Levitate (her Skills) and Weightless (E2 Talent)

+ Talent 1 gives her bonus damage and a Silence effect when attacking aerial enemies

+ Talent 2 inflicts Weightless on high-HP enemies within her attack range

+ All of her Skills can Levitate enemies

- Skill cycling is terrible

- S2 is very unreliable due to random targeting and low Levitate chance

- S3 is a very weird Skill with a high SP cost, slow attacks, limited targeting, damage that scales on distance, and terrible Mastery gains

Close-Range/ Heavyshooter Sniper

+ Module allows her to ignore enemy’s Physical Dodge

+ Has very high damage potential if positioned correctly

= Talent increases the damage of her Skills, but only after she has used the Skill once already, so it does nothing until she uses a Skill for the second time in a deployment cycle (especially inconvenient if she gets killed or needs to redeploy)

= S2 does massive damage to all enemies directly in front of her, but the damage falls off rapidly depending on how far away from her they are

- Usual archetype weaknesses: Short attack range, slow ASPD, does not prioritize flying enemies

- Her damage is highly conditional and can be tricky to maximize reliably

Muelsyse

Muelsyse E2

Muelsyse has been a fan favorite for quite a while, and now she’s joining the fray at last. If you like one Muelsyse, though, surely two would be better? Her kit revolves around creating a water-based copy of herself that duplicates the stats of another ally. Twice the Muelsyse, twice the cuteness! And if you like two, surely having SIX would be even better?!

Ho'olheyak

Ho'olheyak E2

Ho’olheyak is another fan favorite, and it’s not hard to see why, between her sleek design and bewitchingly amoral demeanor. As a spy and a shadowy manipulator, she usually works behind the scenes, but as part of her show of goodwill to Rhodes Island, she’s willing to flaunt her aerial wind magic in direct combat.

Melanite

Melanite E2

Melanite, a former weapons tester who has been infected with Oripathy, simply walked into Rhodes Island one day and glared at a recruiter until they got scared and ran to get their superior. Since then, she has threatened Midnight with a railgun, almost had a nervous breakdown over a misunderstanding with vacation time, and participated in several missions where she fires her gun at point-blank range with so much force that it is impossible for enemies to dodge or, often, survive.
