"Rainbow member, codename Blitz. Give me the order, and I'll slap this shield into the target's face!"
Operator Elias Kötz, codename Blitz, Rainbow member, one of the witnesses to the "Watchtower 33" incident, and was registered as a Rhodes Island collaborator afterwards.
Due to the collective blanks in Rainbow members' records, we decided not to investigate into their past. From battle assessments alone, Blitz is very adept at close quarter combat and shooting, and receive relatively high marks in alley and indoors simulations. We concluded that before Blitz arrived at Rhodes Island, he was already an expert in dealing with unexpected urban situations.
Talents and Skills
Archetype: Normal Defender with extended Attack Range (like Liskarm)
Trait: Blocks 3 enemies
Talent: Blitz prioritizes, and has increased ATK when, attacking stunned enemies
Skill 1: After skill activation, all enemies ahead of Blitz are Stunned and have their special abilities silenced for several seconds. Can only be used 4 times per deployment.
Skill 2: After skill activation, deal one hit of physical damage to all blocked enemies and Stun them for several seconds. Increase self ASPD and the effect of Talent 1.
Note: These are first impressions and based on conjecture since we don’t know the exact details.
Blitz will be the second Normal Defender with an extended Attack Range, and like the other, Liskarm, will probably be able to attack aerial enemies as well. Blitz is a Stun-focused Operator, with a Talent that causes him to prioritize and have increased ATK against stunned enemies, and both Skills that inflict stuns on his foes.
S1 has a large frontal area of effect, and not only Stuns but also Silences his enemies. The drawback of the Skill is that it can only be used 4 times per deployment. An AoE stun and silence could be a great tactical option from a Defender, and the use limit shouldn't make a difference for most maps, though it will certainly limit its usability on some longer ones like Annihilation-types.
S2 Stuns the enemies he is blocking and gives him burst of damage against them by increasing his ASPD and the ATK boost of his Talent. Pretty straightforwardly, this Skill would provide some CC and extra damage with the blocking body of a Defender.
Even more-so than Liskarm, what Blitz lacks are Skills that significantly increase his survivability over time. The Stuns can certainly give him a short respite from damage, but he has no longer-duration or significant boosts to DEF, RES, or HP. Like Liskarm, Blitz would be a Defender to consider when you want their utility, or need the blocking and tougher-body of a Defender, but not extremely high mitigation. This option may not be a core or standard part of your main squad, but a nice tool to have when the situation calls for it.
If you are wondering why Liskarm/Blitz don't have their own Archetype, it is because the potential Archetypal differentiation (extended attack range and ability to hit fliers) is not typically the reason you would choose to use them instead of other members of their Archetype.
