First Impressions

Note: These are first impressions and based on conjecture since we don’t know the exact details. 

Dusk arrives on the scene as the next Limited Operator, and our second 6★ AoE Caster (or third, if you include The Burninator). Unlike Mostima (the other 6★ AoE Caster), rather than focusing on utility, Dusk focuses mostly on pure damage output, and tries to overcome the drawback of her Archetype with her Skills.

All 3 of her skills increase her damage and the coverage area of her splash attacks.  Skill 1 will be a consistent damage type skill that stores charges, enabling some burst damage after gaps in battle.  Skill 2 looks to directly address some of the weakness of the Archetype, increasing her range and attack speed, and dealing damage to all enemies in her range.  Increased damage to low HP enemies improves her performance as a finisher.  Skill 3 is obviously the most unique weapon in her arsenal.  It increases her range, splash, and ATK (all great things), but in addition she prioritizes unblocked enemies and summons a companion that will block and attack enemies.  It appears that the companions can block at least 2 enemies, and that the number that can be summoned is only limited by their duration.  This gives her the ability to create a large amount of blocking over the duration of this skill, which could be very useful in delaying swarms or hard hitting bosses.

Dusk seems like another interesting addition to the AoE Caster Archetype, with the potential for high DPS and and interesting gameplay option with S3.  Will it be enough to offset the typical AoE Caster drawbacks and allow her to make a more broadly significant impact?
