Boon+ Atk Bane - Res

Skill Set

Hero Build Overview/Explanation

Disclaimer: This build is for all the Robin simps out there who would give their everything to this precious tactician.

Ever since the new Day of Devotion weapons came out, I already had in mind of giving V!Veronica's tome to my M!Robin, who had been running Fiora Guide at the time. Although I didn't know it would end up being this broken.

Boon: While I have taken +Atk myself, +Spd is just as good, since at high investment (assuming you are a fellow simp who's poured all their resources on him, or at least planning to) his speed is actually not that bad. And that's not even counting the things I've put on him to make sure for that.

Bane: If you are someone who is starting out their Robin, -Res is the way to go. He shouldn't be going up against most mages this early on anyways, but he'll manage to handle most of them at higher merges + investment.

Pact Blooms+ (+Spd): Do not take +Atk. Ever. That one point of attack isn't worth it. While I have took +Spd to help him keep up with some speedier foes, apart from +Atk, any of them work well on him. +Def helps bulk up his already great defenses more and +Res helps him stand up better to mages.

Reposition: Not much to say here except that Shove works just as great, specially to activate his solo. But I personally like Reposition better.

Ignis: Bignis is cool. His defense stat makes the damage devastating for foes. Bonfire works as well. If you'd like to up his sustainability, Noontime and Sol on top of the added +4 HP every time he hits ensures he'll have a healthy amount of HP throughout his battles.

Close Foil: I think Close Foil is perfect on him in my opinion. He can take on almost every physical unit that comes his way, yes, even the green ones. I seriously can't recommend it enough. I suggest getting this skill from Julian though, since you can knock out the next skill with a single copy of him as well. I can't figure out how to convince you in words, all I can say is that once you've done this and see the results, you will thank me. I guess Close Counter works too though.

Lull Atk/Spd 3: Speaks for itself. Neutralizing the foe's bonuses to Atk/Spd plus the added Atk/Spd-3 helps him against speedier foes like I talked about earlier. Pair this with the added Atk/Res-5 Pact Blooms gives when it's active, and the enemy is hitting weak and you'll be hitting them back harder and faster.

Pulse Smoke 3: Honestly, his C skill is pretty flexible. Joint Drives, Joint Hones, other Smokes, almost anything can work. I just put Pulse Smoke because it seems like the optimal one, I suppose.

Spd/Res Solo 3: I know this may seem counterintuitive at first. But again, works wonders against speedy foes, and now against mages as well! Which I would say are two of M!Robin's biggest threats. Just like his C skill, this seal is very flexible as well. So you can put something else here that you think would work better.

I hope you enjoyed reading my explanation on why this build works so well! I also hope I helped some of you who still use M!Robin users on ideas on how to help him keep up in today's meta. Wish you all the best!
