Scarlet Devil Tower Floor Guide - 81-90F

Introduction

It's time for another climb up the Scarlet Devil Tower! The enemies on this floor took some notes from floors 61 to 70 and decided to increase their resistance to different kinds of bullets. But they thought it was so nice, they did it twice! Not only will they increase their resistance to two different bullets type of elements, but a middle guest will increase the opponents' stats or decrease your own by large amounts. At the very least, not much stands against stalling these floors outside of the bosses.

The most important note for these floors is to avoid using the bullets that the enemies cover; so for this floor that would be Laser and Slash Bullets. Otherwise, be wary of Sunny's large buff to Yang ATK to all allies...what world does she come from where she has the most health compared to these teammates?

This floor is even more brutal with its resistances, at 70% instead of just 50%. Definitely avoid attempting to use any Star or Moon attacks while the resistances are active. Ironically, Yuuka remains weak to Star while decreasing the damage taken from it. All of the opponents have mixed elemental weaknesses, making it somewhat difficult to Full Break all of them at once.

More resistance to bullet types, this time to Body and Heavy. Critical attacks will be pretty ineffective too while Merlin's tune is decreasing CRIT ATK.

This even-floor goes back to brutal elemental defenses to Sun and Wood. Fortunately, Luna Child already resists these elements, meaning neither of those elements should be used to take down her heavy Yin DEF buffs in the first place.

Lyrica is here to once again crush the dreams of slowly trying to make it pass her team's 7 layers of barriers. It seems like the Prismriver Sisters always like to mess with traditional strategies anytime they arrive to fight. Any plans to work toward applying Full Breaks should focus on taking her down first, but be aware of Yatsuhashi increasing Star resistance by 70%. Tenshi will also pester your team with Paralyze barriers while unleashing spells every 2 turns, along with disabling Graze for the first 5 turns. If you value living against her spells, remember to swap out once the battle starts.

Just another floor with bullet type resistances, this time being Liquid and Sharp Bullets. Star Sapphire will boost her allies' CRIT Accuracy, which might make Flandre's spells even more threatening...at least, if they connect.

Eirin and Yuugi will work toward great lengths to decrease the damage Kokoro takes from her elemental weaknesses. Sadly they didn't take any time to cover the Wood weakness that both of them share.

Energy Last Words are rather common, making Alice's skill to resist those types of attacks more threatening to your damage output than usual. Make sure to Full Break or take her down first if the final plan is to unleash one of those Last Words on this floor.

You get the deal by now. Avoid using Water and Earth attacks while the enemies are casting resistances and be wary of the Yin ATK Ringo will pound into her allies.

The time has come: Gauge Burst in the Tower! Note that both of these bosses will end up with a second health bar with the same HP as the first one upon depleting the first gauge and that the EX restrictions are not applied upon burst. 

The ordinary magician will compliment her dreamy version by increasing Yang ATK by 3 levels, the attack type that all of the Witch of Scarlet Dream's spells benefit from. Later on Marisa will also apply Quick to herself, which can prove dangerous if she is about to unleash a Last Word. 

The upside is that these two magicians have no form of Barrier Restoration whatsoever, so working toward a Full Break and following up for heavy damage should prove no issue. Just remember to swap out on the first turn- no Boosting will make attempting to break or even do damage too difficult. Oh, and try not to target the Witch of Scarlet Dreams with Yin attacks before Full Break. Her 7 levels of Yin DEF UP will gladly crush your own dreams of power.
