Overview

Montmorancy is a 3★ Water-element hero with the zodiac sign Pisces, whose primary role is being a Soul Weaver. By completing her Specialty Change quest chain, she is able to transform into Angelic Montmorancy.

Watery Curtain Recovers ally's Health and grants immunity for 2 turns, while increasing the caster's Combat Readiness by 50%. Amount recovered is proportional to the target's max Health.

GamePress Recommendations

To farm 500 Spirits for the Specialty Change quest most efficiently, we recommend running Stage 5-4 (Silver Monarch Hall). Unfortunately, there are only 8 Spirit enemies in this stage, meaning the quest will still take some time to complete.

On the plus side, Stage 5-4 is also a good source of Shiny Enchantments. Running this stage also earns AP for the Dun Blyraia AP Exchange, which has Shiny Enchantments for sale. Alternately, you can craft the Shiny Enchantments in the Sanctuary using a 0-3-0 Alchemist's Steeple.

This leaves only the "Acquire Ezera Adventure Points" requirement. Like farming the Spirits, this will be slow going, but you can make it faster by farming Ezera stages on World difficulty (aka Unrecorded History) instead of the base story. Completing a stage on World difficulty gives 8 AP per run rather than 4, so it will only take 100 runs to finish the requirement.

  • Note that Stages 1-8 and 1-S4 on World difficulty have Spirit enemies in them. Farm these stages first when starting Montmorancy's Specialty Change quests, since they give you a chance to hit all three requirements at the same time.
Advice on Trial Battle

Unlike some other Specialty Change Trial battles, this one is fairly simple. Montmorancy, Helga, and Gunther face off against an Imp King and two Summer Angara.

  • Helga should use her S3 whenever it is off cooldown to buff the party. Otherwise, have her attack freely with her S1 and S2.
  • Gunther can one-shot a Summer Angara with his S1 if he has Helga's Atk buff. Once the Summer Angara are dead, beat on the Imp King with his S1 and S3.
  • Montmorancy can heal if needed, but the Imp King's damage is so low that she shouldn't need to. Just have her attack with her S1 instead.

Congratulations! With the Trial battle completed, Montmorancy will now Specialty Change!

  • 50% chance of resetting cooldown while Angelic Montmorancy has no debuffs herself

  • 100% chance of additional healing
