All-Rounder
PvE
Haste is built on a speed set to maximize the number of turns he can take, allowing him to kill mob stages quickly and minimize downtime between having Vampiric Touch and Unhealable debuffs on bosses. The build also aims for gear substats to reach 55% Effectiveness in order to consistently land his debuffs. Rhianna and Luciella is the ideal artifact choice, since taking extra turns also reduces his cooldowns and lets him cycle through his abilities faster.

Arena GW Cleaver
PvP
Haste can be used effectively as a fast cleaver in Arena and Guild wars because of his high speed. With the assistance of a defense breaker and an attack buffer, Vampiric Seal has enough damage potential to instantly kill most Thief and Ranger class heroes. Elyha's Knife is an extremely potent artifact to enhance his burst potential.

Analysis
Overview
Haste is considered one of the best heroes to reroll for at the start of the game, due to his versatile combination of damage, utility, and healing abilities that can carry early-game teams through the majority of PvE content. He is one of very few DPS heroes with a team-wide healing ability, in addition to having a unique lifesteal debuff that allows himself and his allies to recover additional HP when attacking the debuffed enemy unit.
Strengths
Team-wide healing ability
Haste has a versatile kit, particularly for PvE content, thanks to his powerful Blood Rend ability that nukes a target enemy while healing the entire team and applying his unique Vampiric Touch debuff, allowing himself and allies to lifesteal from the target. He can also apply an unhealable debuff to prevent opponents from healing, and his attacks stacks bleed debuffs for extra damage.
High base speed
Haste has a base speed of 120, making him among the fastest heroes currently in the game. He is an excellent choice for speedy team compositions in PvP content, where taking the first turn is a requirement. His speed also allows him to take more turns in PvE over the course of a battle, boosting his effective DPS and healing potential.
Efficient fodder and catalyst farmer
Haste excels at clearing farming stages quickly. His ultimate, Vampiric Seal, can be used flexibly to deal both large AOE damage as well as very high single-target damage. This allows him to be an efficient solo farmer for leveling fodder and collecting catalysts in world difficulty stages.
Weaknesses
Relatively low damage on normal attacks
The damage potential on Haste’s normal attack, Envoy’s Scythe, is relatively low compared to other high-DPS thief class heroes, partly because it relies on landing bleed rather than direct damage. As a result, Haste’s damage does not scale as well with Crit and Crit Damage, limiting his burst potential.
Low base defense
Haste has very low defense, making him more vulnerable to burst damage. Unless damage is sacrificed for extra survivability, he can often die to unlucky crits from bosses or enemy heroes.
Needs high effectiveness
Most of Haste’s abilities revolve around debuffs, requiring high Effectiveness substats. This inevitably comes at the price of sacrificing damage and/or survivability, compared to pure DPS heroes or pure utility heroes. While he’s an incredibly versatile hero, Haste’s reliance on so many different stats makes him a jack of all trades but a master of none.
