Clear Steps

Welcome to a very interesting map. The two objectives here are quite different, the first being simply a hostage rescue. The second objective involves completing a special battle. The special battle is started by stepping onto the 'Enemy' M4 on the Enemy Command Post. Details of this battle will be given below, but a quick summary that your objective is not to defeat M4. Instead, you need to kill the trash and spawns.

In order to reach M4 you will need to step on the Radar in the upper section of the map. The Abandoned Isomer enemies have a 90% force shield and cannot be brute-forced.

Turn 1

1.1

Deploy a Combat Echelon on the Command Post. Move up one node, and Deploy a Second Combat Echelon on the Command Post.

1.1

Deploy a Combat Echelon on the Command Post. Move up one node, and Deploy a Second Combat Echelon on the Command Post.

Turn 2

2.1

Move the upper Combat Echelon to the left one node.

2.1

Move the second Combat Echelon up one node, and to the right one node. End your turn.

2.2

Move the first Combat Echelon to the right one node.

2.2

Move the second Combat Echelon up and to the left one node each.

Turn 3

3.1

Move the left Combat Echelon to the left one node, and up two nodes.

3.2

Move the right Combat Echelon to the right one node, and up one node.

3.1

Move the left Combat Echelon left two nodes and up two nodes. Be ready to fight the Patroller.

3.2

Move the right Combat Echelon to the right one node.

Turn 4

4.1

Move the right Combat Echelon up three nodes, to the left two nodes. You can switch with the hostage if needed to conserve resources, or to keep them from dying. End your turn.

4.1

Move the right Combat Echelon up four nodes, to the left two nodes, and up one node.

Do not swap with the hostage. There is some potential RNG on the next turn, and it is minimized by preserving resources for fights.

Turn 5

5.1

Before we proceed a word about the upcoming battle. As mentioned earlier on, the objective is not to defeat M4. In fact, M4 dying will cause the battle to fail, so be careful!

Instead, we are waiting for M4 to summon waves of Abandoned Isomer enemies that must be defeated. Doing so will fill the bar in the middle of the screen, and when the entire bar is filled, the battle is over and we win!

While this is going on, M4 is going to be attacking you, up to and including pulling out her cannon, so make sure to keep an eye on the battlefield and move your Dolls out of the range of her targeting indicators. Seal of the Avenger is just as painful for us as it is for enemies after all. If you are struggling to not kill M4, retreat 1 or 2 of your DPS units to reduce outgoing damage, and keep them moving until the Isomer's spawn.

Move the right Combat Echelon to the left one node, up one node, left one node, and down to begin the special battle.

Remember not to kill M4!

5.1

The move you make this turn will vary a bit depending on what is in your way and how many fights you've had to this point. You want to end your turn next to the Gladiator with enough supplies to engage it if possible.

6.1

If the RNG is not kind to you, at the expense of lengthening the clear, you can absolutely use your lower Combat Echelon to kill the Gladiator. Also, beware of using planning mode here without checking that it routes correctly. Don't be me and bring yourself twice because planning mode is silly sometimes!

Move the upper Combat Echelon to the right fighting the Gladiator, right, then left and swap with the Echelon on the Heliport to and rescue the hostage to end the map!
