Blue Moon (a Touhou LW original) refers to a visually blue Moon or the third full moon of a season that has an extra fourth full moon. This peculiar temperament is fitting for this world's Kaguya since she follows a fateful cycle separate from the cycle of reincarnation through her ability to manipulate eternity and the instantaneous.

Kaguya's temperament has been completely reconstructed. Her being has more or less fused with the Arcus Mass Driver, practically making her a manifestation of the full moon. She also acts like the Moon is the true ruler of the heavens. (Strong against Sun Essence and Metal Phase.)

However, she has also accepted her fate to live on the Earth as an eternally impure person of Hourai. (Weak to Earth Phase.)

A Spell Card of Kaguya Houraisan, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She replicates an Age of the Gods medicine from Tewi's memory. Kaguya refers to all rabbits as Inaba. However, she eventually started using Tewi and Reisen's names, probably to avoid any confusion.

It's said that a panacea, or cure-all, cannot possibly exist in the real world. This is because every disease has different symptoms and causes that cannot be lumped together in a single category. Not to mention that in terms of being able to chemically alter one's health, there is no difference between medicine and poison. The Eastern medicinal practice of using raw, unrefined drugs makes a lot of sense because it focuses on limiting the variety, intensity, and accidental mutations produced by these chemical effects... Despite all that, perhaps a panacea could be manufactured through programmable nanomachine technology.

Lost Hourai Jar

The Last Word of Kaguya Houraisan, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She recalls her time spent with Eirin in this attack. Their lives full of sin, love, boredom, and joy were undoubtedly that of Earth-dwelling humans. Eirin willingly descended to the Earth to make up for the wrong she did to Kaguya and live for her sake. At the end of Kaguya's pursuit of personal pleasure, she discovered the frailty of human life and how difficult it is to repay humans for their kindness. Sin isn't just the guilt you feel after committing a heinous act. Living and dying are sins in and of themselves, and they cannot be erased by distancing oneself from either concept. Running far away to hide on the Moon won't solve anything. So Kaguya decided to try living her life as she saw fit―to live forever and continue talking to the people around her. Luckily for her, she has some friends who are likewise cursed with immortality.

The ability of Kaguya Houraisan, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). Kaguya completely lost this ability due to a Lost Word. She is currently regaining it little by little, though not through restoring or replicating her old ability, but with a newly constructed original ability that formed a core to build upon. She has continued to travel across worlds to try and end the Lost Word Incident.

Even if a Lost Word could erase a person of Hourai by erasing spacetime or the whole people of Hourai concept, Kaguya Houraisan alone has the necessary attributes to come out on top―namely her ever-mysterious ability. Perhaps the main reason why it is so mysterious is because there is no conceivable situation where she could use it to its full potential. However, this world's Kaguya has come face-to-face with the Lost Word Incident.

The concepts of eternity and the instantaneous can be explained by the world of Planck units. These units of measurement are named after the illustrious physicist who first proposed them. They include Planck time, Planck length, Planck mass, Planck charge, and Planck temperature. Planck time is of particular note as it represents the shortest possible interval of observable time. The fact that time is not a continuous flow but a series of disconnected moments, like the pages of a flip book, breaks down all our intuitive conceptions of reality. It reveals that the vast world we see and feel around us is mostly empty due to all the holes perforating space and time. The instantaneous can be understood as the infinitesimally small intervals that make up reality, while eternity is the infinitesimally large voids between them. Offsetting a clock that ticks in time with the instantaneous, even just a little, will reveal a world of infinite nothingness. By escaping into this world, you can avoid any and all influences, preventing your history from being recorded. Things secreted away into this world can be retrieved from any time or place without suffering any wear or tear due to the passage of time. These are the effects and uses of this world's Kaguya's ability to manipulate eternity and the instantaneous. However, the abilities possessed by the other Kaguyas might be different.

''God is in the details.'' ...No, in this day and age, perhaps it's more accurate to say that ''Gods have been forced to live in the quantum fluctuations.'' With the pervasion of scientific knowledge, modern-day humans have relegated the old-fashioned concepts of gods to the fanciful imaginings of children. However, the ''real'' world they perceive is nothing but an ''instant''―a single thread of the infinitely expanding tapestry that depicts the truth of every world combined. This truth far transcends the understanding of humans.

Unfortunately, Kaguya did not possess the wisdom of Eirin. Nor the vindictive tenacity of Mokou. Again and again, no matter how many times history repeated, each time she came face to face with a Lost Word, she survived... and was left all alone. She hates it. That's why she refuses to give up and is determined to overcome the danger that currently lies in her path, regardless of how impure and sinful she becomes with each successive iteration. This should come as no surprise because Kaguya is the most selfish and stubborn princess in existence.

Arcus Mass Driver: This manifestation of the Lunar Capital Expo is powered by Kaguya Houraisan's own thoughts and feelings. That's why it has taken the form of the bow that Eirin wields. The items recorded in it are not limited to the Moon treasures displayed at the Lunar Capital Expo but also include treasures that Kaguya used to own, such as the Jeweled Branch of Hourai, along with every item possessed by the Lunar Capital... In fact, it has recorded every aspect of the Lunar Capital's culture. This amounts to quite a wealth of information, but Kaguya's use of it is limited since tools only function in accordance with the magical power of the wielder. In the Lunar Capital, information is hidden from or doctored to suit one's station, so there should be a fair amount of data recorded in the Arcus Mass Drive that Kaguya can't access. However, a certain incarcerated goddess, who is also recorded in this device, helped Kaguya jailbreak it. Now that they're secretly working together, it is only a matter of time―proper time―until Kaguya reaches the place where the Lost Word Incident originated. Incidentally, the name Arcus Mass Driver doesn't just refer to a bow that shoots mass but also a robust arch-shaped structure and a leader of people―a driver of the masses.

Raseira! Raseira! Introducing one half of the Moonlit Festival pair comes a Lunar Princess who now lives on Earth. Her drive to resolve the Lost Word incident is as everlasting as her lifespan, and she is even armed with her new bow in memory of Eirin Yagokoro called the Arcus Mass Driver. This weapon also has all kinds of usage relating to those close to her, and despite the positive vibes a festival under the moon can provide, Kaguya Houraisan and will not hold back, and she will use everything in the Arcus Mass Driver’s power to take down the masterminds!

L80 Kaguya Houraisan is a Technical-Class Friend who has strong Killers, Hard Scaling, uses Paralyze and Burn anomalies to boost her defensive stats, and most importantly, she pioneers enemies being subjected to a Moon weakness.

As a Attacker

High base Yin ATK stat of 1925.
Is able to increase her bullets’ power by 33% if they are effective (elements vary, such as Sun and Star on Spell Card 1, Fire on Spell Card 2 and Moon and Wood on Last Word).
Skill 2 grants 2.00 Spirit Power while Spell Card 1 Post-ATK gives 1.25 of it.
Spell Card Pre-ATKs can increase L80 Kaguya’s Yin ATK, as well as some bullet lines on both Shots. Spell Card 1’s Yin ATK is also for the team.
CRIT ATK and CRIT Accuracy buffs for the team via Last Word Pre-ATK.
Gives a team an Accuracy buff by using Skill 1.
Is able to debuff the Yin DEF and CRIT DEF of all enemies via Skill 1.
Spell Card 2 and Last Word’s Pre-ATKs boost L80 Kaguya’s Yin DEF, and can also provide this for the team whenever L80 Kaguya performs a Boost. The Yin DEF buffs she gets can go towards her Hard Scaling, such as on her Last Word’s 133% Scaling.

As a Utility

Has a brand new mechanic that makes enemies weak to a specific element, in L80 Kaguya’s case, it is Moon. This is achieved via Skill 3 and it helps with Last Word damage, plus can benefit strong Moon allies.
Can inflict Burn anomalies on her enemies via Skill 3, Spell Card 2 and on an enemy via Passive 1. These can be broken via Spread Shot (2P), Spell Card 2 (3P) and Last Word (3P). Her Spread Shot can also break Freeze anomalies (3P) whereas her Focus Shot can do this for Paralyze anomalies (1P).
L80 Kaguya also benefits from defensive buffs when inflicted with Paralyze and Burn anomalies, which is pulled off via Skills 2 and 3 respectively, as well as more layers of Burn via Last Word Pre-ATK.
Spell Card 1’s Post-ATK removes a Bind/Stat debuff on L80 Kaguya.
Spell Card 1’s Post-ATK gives the team another Barrier.
Takes 33% less damage from elements she is strong against (Sun, Metal).

The main things you’ll want to take into account when it comes to L80 Kaguya’s Story Card picks will be CRIT ATK. This is because she is pretty much lacking in them, even if the CRIT DEF debuffs somewhat mitigate this. While at it, Spirit Power buffs are never a bad idea, whether it’s for the team or for herself, and to a lesser extent, it might not hurt to get in a little more Yin ATK and Accuracy, although at that point it’s optional. Once you have the necessary buffs ready to go, or if you just want to use Spell Cards for damage, look to Sun Element and/or Light Bullet boosting cards for Spell Card 1, or Fire Element and/or Energy Bullet boosting cards for Spell Card 2.

As we would expect, Kaguya’s Moonlit Festival is the best pick for L80 Kaguya thanks to its boost in Light bullets by 50% as well as in both Moon and Wood by 45%, making her Last Word 95% more powerful.

Should other options be necessary, Puppeteer and Necromancer is the classic pick for its 50% Light boost, and Silver Gale and Congress of Sages serve as slightly lesser but viable options with their 45% and 40% boosts in Light. If you have any copies of Patron Saint of Learning lying around from its event, that can help too thanks to its 25% boost in both Moon and Light, and for a pure 50% boost in just Moon, you can look to cards like Lunatic Red Eyes and The Heat of my Fingertips!

Character Skill Level Up Recommendations

The Skill that should be leveled up instantly should be the second one, Bamboo Princess, as she effectively doubles her Spirit Power gain from it, plus it helps her reach 3P right off the bat. Also comes with a slight Paralyze infliction buff to herself. Next up could go either way since they have their benefits, but due to their longevity for L80 Kaguya, let’s go with Sinful & Impure Moon for the Burn anomaly inflicted on both herself and enemies. Last up is Earth Exiled Noble, which boosts the team’s Accuracy, as well as debuffs the Yin DEF and CRIT DEF of her enemies. Given how this Skill starts off with enough of an Accuracy buff for L80 Kaguya to get to 100% Accuracy on her attacks, this can go last, but the last two Skills can just be based off of preference.

Character Strengths

Eternally High Damage Potential

L80 Kaguya is just primed for dealing high damage on those that stand in her way. Whether it’s as a result of her strong Killers (Gensokyo, Parallel Presence, God, etc), great Hard Scaling, and the unique potential to ensure her Last Word will be effective against her enemies! In addition, she gets a 33% boost when her elements are effective against her enemies, and on top of it all, her Spirit Power gain is solid thanks to Skill 2 and Spell Card 1, both of her Spell Cards and Last Word will help with Yin ATK preservation.

Exceptional Utility Under the Moon

As alluded to above, L80 Kaguya has what it takes to ensure her Last Word can land effective hits on her enemies, and this is achieved through Skill 3 where she makes her enemies weak to Moon! But it doesn’t end there, as fellow Friends can abuse this whether it’s to strengthen their break potential in their situation, or to just decimate their enemies. Notable Moon-based Friends L80 Kaguya can help with Skill 3: B3 Yorihime, L80 Remilia, A6 Rumia, E9 Remilia, L80 Sakuya, B5 Reisen, A7B Sakuya, B3 Seiran, B3 Ringo, and many more!

Solid Anomaly Potential

When it comes to anomalies, L80 Kaguya is able to inflict Burn anomalies onto her enemies through Skill 3 and Spell Card 2, as well as Passive 1, being able to break 5-6 Burn anomalies with the same Spell Card right away. These breaks are also achieved through her Spread Shot and Last Word. As a bonus, her Spread Shot breaks an enemy’s Freeze anomalies and her Focus Shot can break Paralyze anomalies.

Struggles When it Comes to CRIT ATK

While the CRIT DEF debuffing L80 Kaguya has is helpful, they don’t last forever whether it comes to debuff durations, gauge removal or a new wave. Regardless, having those CRIT ATK buffs will help a lot, especially when it comes to taking advantage of her strong Killers, because all she really has when it comes to these buffs, we just have her Last Word Pre-ATK.
