Reliable data has not yet been found, but a regular height of between 3 and 5 centimeters would align her with well-known inchlings like Issun-Boushi and Thumbelina. Furthermore, it would be consistent with inchling folklore if her height after using the Miracle Mallet to grow bigger was similar to that of a human―or rather, a human child. Inchlings really are small... Living as one must be quite a challenge.

The story of Issun-Boushi exterminating oni resembles tales of dragon slaying but includes the tropes of miraculous births and marriage between humans and supernatural beings, blurring the lines between inchlings and humans. Perhaps beings that are now labeled as youkai and monsters were once not so different from regular humans.

However, Issun-Boushi's origins date back further than the Otogi-zoushi, and can be traced to ancient Japanese mythological records―namely, to the god Sukunabikona. Sukunabikona was an ally of the great deity, Okuninushi (a.k.a. Lord Daikoku), and is one of the oldest tricksters. It seems like Shinmyoumaru takes more after Sukunabikona than she does Issun-Boushi. Perhaps she's even better at reversing things than Seiga...

When it comes to a previous incident flipped on its head, alongside the infamous amanojaku with ulterior motives is an inchling who despite her size has large ambitions, not just for herself, but for her people, tsukumogami and anyone else stepped on at the bottom of the hierarchy. How exactly does she aim to bring justice to the inchling legacy? With an artifact known as the Miracle Mallet, capable of granting wishes, making the wielder shrink/grow and other side effects such as creating tsukumogami and even a berserking effect on youkai! However, in a universe where this incident has been in a constant state of prolonged reversal, and even with the amanojaku’s true intentions revealed, can this version of Shinmyoumaru Sukuna forge her own path for her people as well as drop the hammer on the Lost Word Incident culprit(s)?
A14 Shinmyoumaru is a Destroy-Class Friend who doesn’t give an inch with her support via Yang ATK, Accuracy and CRIT Accuracy, additional CRIT ATK buffs/CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion debuffs and some Poison anomaly inflict/break potential.
As an Attacker / Supporter / Debuffer
- Decent Yang ATK Stat at 1800.
- A14 Shinmyoumaru’s bullet line damage increases by 25% with her resisted elements.
- Has selfish Spirit Power buffs thanks to Skill 3 and Spell Card 1 Post-ATK (both 1.50).
- Yang ATK buff for the team with Skill 3 and Spell Card 1 Pre-ATK.
- Team Accuracy buff with Skill 3. Also has bullet line buffs for herself on her Spread Shot.
- CRIT ATK buff for herself with Skill 1.
- CRIT Accuracy buff for the team with Skill 1 and Last Word Pre-ATK.

As a Utility / Breaker
- A14 Shinmyoumaru’s elements mainly include Metal and Wood across her kit, with slight bits of Moon in her Focus Shot and Last Word as well as Spell Card 2 being a mix of Water, Fire and Earth on top of the above.
- A14 Shinmyoumaru also gains defensive buffs in Yang DEF, Yin DEF, CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion when inflicted with Poison and/or Blind. Skill 2 can inflict Poison on herself.
- Is also able to inflict and break Poison anomalies, with 3 layers of Poison in her Skill 2 inflicted on all enemies. Poison anomalies are broken via Solo-Targeting Focus Shot (2P), Solo-Targeting Spell Card 1 (3P), All-Targeting Spell Card 2 (3P) and All-Targeting Last Word (3P).
- Can also inflict Burn anomalies on Spell Card 2’s Pre-ATK, although is unable to break these on her own.
- Thanks to Passive 1, A14 Shinmyoumaru takes 40% less damage from Youkai.
- Can take 25% less damage when hit by Moon or Water elements.
- Evasion buff for herself on Skill 1.

A14 Shinmyoumaru handles herself fairly well when it comes to buffs, but doubling down on them doesn't necessarily hurt, especially on the Spirit Power side of things. Speaking of which, for selfish Spirit Power gain, this inchling can look to options (some with extra effects) like Road of Liminality’s Ennichi, Photogenic Girls, Our Dream, Endless Summer Maiden and the classics like The Witch of Scarlet Dreams and Dancer in the Puddle whereas team Spirit Power buffs come in options like Myouren Temple Anniversary and Divine Spirit Tajikarao.
More Yang ATK can be welcome though, especially for the team via means like Nameless Adventurers and Gaze Upon the Flowers, CRIT ATK buffs for the team like Divine Spirit Tajikarao and Worlds in Hand and CRIT Accuracy team buffs like Shikigami Detectives and Road of Liminality’s Ennichi are also welcome too. As for more selfish buffs for A14 Shinmyoumaru, there are picks such as How Irrational… (Yang ATK), Ancient River (CRIT ATK + CRIT Accuracy), Ordinary Magician (Yang ATK + CRIT ATK) and Tropical Netherworld Sushi (CRIT Accuracy + Yang DEF Debuff). That last one has some debuffing which could be of use too, which can always be helpful, alongside CRIT DEF/CRIT Evasion debuffing too if you’re interested in that.
But if you’re interested in Spell Card damage, Spell Card 1 benefits from Metal element/Energy bullet boosting Spell Cards, which is where options such as NAЯAKA, Choose an Animal Spirit and Two Girl Rock Band, will be strong here. Meanwhile, Spell Card 2 likes cards that boost Sharp bullets/Wood elements. Beneficial options include Sporadically Margaret, and Gaze Upon the Flowers here.

Unfortunately, A14 Shinmyoumaru’s Last Word has that mix of Laser and Sharp in terms of bullet lines, and without any Story Card that is able to boost all bullet lines, her damage does struggle a bit, at least until we get a future Story Card that boosts Sharp and Laser (and maybe Metal too?).
Anyways, the best bets we have here are either 50% Metal boosting picks for lines 1, 4, 5 and 6 like Break Time in Yomi, Two Girl Rock Band, Disillusion, and It’s Just Like I Heard (with potential extra helpful effects). As for the Laser boosting picks for the first three lines, we can go for cards like Infinity Garden, Little Sister and Sweets, Luck of the Celestial, Red Hot Polaris, Night-Splitting Light and Hand in Hand with a Miracle.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Inching its way to the top is Skill 3, which is Trapped Princess, due to the team Yang ATK and Accuracy as well as additional Spirit Power. Next up can go either way, but edging it out into second is Silver Needle, which is Skill 1. This grants the team more CRIT Accuracy as well as more selfish CRIT ATK. Last up is the Skill in the middle which is Power Disruptor. As well as CRIT DEF debuffing, A14 Shinmyoumaru inflicts both enemies and herself with more Poison.
Character Strengths
Critically Acclaimed Growing Buffs
Whether it’s for herself or for the party, A14 Shinmyoumaru is capable of providing the buffs (and even some debuffs) needed to thrive. Accuracy, Yang ATK, CRIT Accuracy and Yang DEF, other allies will reap the rewards of the inchling’s miracle buffs here. As for herself, she goes even further with personal CRIT ATK buffs, decent Spirit Power gain and some helpful debuffs, mainly CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion ones. These kinds of buffs/debuffs can definitely be great for both fellow Destroy-Class teammates and/or Yang-based ones.
Character Weaknesses
Wishes For Big Breaks, Inchling-Sized Payoff?
While at first glance, A14 Shinmyoumaru’s elemental breaking potential looks alright all things considered, having its Metal and Wood breaks to work with (despite little bits of Moon as well as a rainbow-themed Spell Card 2), her anomaly inflict/break potential is just very odd to say the least. The Poison anomaly inflicting looks alright to begin with, achieved with Skill 2 and with these being broken through multiple attacks in her kit, however, completely out of nowhere comes a Spell Card’s Burn anomaly infliction, obstructing her own anomaly breaking potential as she is unable to break any Burn barriers. Maybe this can be mitigated if there are any allies that can also break Burn anomalies, but fittingly enough, A14 Seija isn’t one of those “foes”.
