Analysis
Overview
Ken is a 5★ Fire Warrior who took 2 whole reworks to get to where he is today. As he is now he is a bruiser with both Health and Attack scaling while packing a whole lot of utility in a single kit. Ken is a hero who can excel at all phases throughout the game in a variety of content. From finishing story to clearing Abyss to holding down a Guild War Defense, Ken's versatile kit can be built around for him to perform to a high degree in any of these scenarios.
He is more than just a Jack of All Trades character. His numbers synergize so well that he is more of a Swiss Army Knife you can put in a team if you need a, damage dealer, dedicated defense breaker, front slot tank, or all of the above.
Strengths
HP Scaling/High Base HP
A DPS character having HP scaling on their moves means they can substitute attack for HP in any build and still output respectable damage while being really hard to kill. This is more than beneficial for Ken, as he has a ridiculously high base HP, making him scale super well with HP% gear. HP bruisers also become a lot of recipients of 'awkward' gear such as Rings/Necks with HP% main and Crit Damage/Crit Chance subs that healers and tanks wouldn't use.
Versatile Skill Kit
Since Ken is a HP scaling bruiser that also has Burn, Def Break, and Stun built into his kit, which means he can be put into a lot of teams and function very well. With at least 1 debuff on every skill, he could use any effectiveness that is tucked into his gear. With so much utility, it only makes sense to build him fast as well. To that end, Ken essentially can utilize every single stat, thus creating the meme of good gear with awkward stats being called "Ken gear."
Unique Vigor Buff
Locked behind his ultimate is Ken's unique vigor buff, which grants him attack, defense, and extra attributes on his other skills. Stat wise, since vigor is unique, it does not clash with attack up or defense up, making them stackable. For his Celetial Kick, it allows the defense break granted to ignore Effect Resistance, hugely beneficial to breaking super tanks in guild wars.
Weaknesses
Vulnerable to Debuffs
As far as bruisers go, most of them are crippled by debuff heroes such as Dizzy or Seaside Bellona. Since Ken needs so many stats, resistance is usually left behind and he doesn't have enough to naturally resist debuffs from a dedicated debuffer. Thus it is key to pair him with a cleanser in most situations to keep him nice and clean.
Fire Unit in Ice Meta
For the first year of the game, Ice unit has had the best units for PvP outside of Moonlight Summons. Some of the most common guild war defense units include the likes of Seaside Bellona, Krau, and even Angelica, who when put on Idol's Cheer can notoriously wall off newer players from an already won fight. Ken having a 50% chance to miss his attack against these units hurt his matchups immensely and limits him to being good outside of these matchups.
Easy to Use, Hard to Master
Since he can be built in many ways, Ken's full build can come online fairly quickly for new players as they collect lifesteal set pieces in Abyss. But to take him to his full potential, players will need gear him with every stat in order to maximize his usage.

Bruiser-General
Bruiser Ken - Wyvern 11 Edition
Since Wyvern 11 is the most consistently farmed hunt by most players, we will approach building Ken from this perspective. Do keep in mind gearing a unit is more about hitting a stat benchmark rather than just following a recommended build list. The stats for bruiser Ken to reach to be solid would be:
HP: 20,000
CritC%: 80%
CritD%: 230%
Speed: 150
Eff %: >0%
With these stats, Ken would be a functional bruiser on most teams, and if resources allow, improve these stats as much as possible.
As far as artifact goes, Ken needs Sigurd's Scythe to be self sufficient. For players who constantly pair him with a healer, Ken can use a variety of artifacts to make up for his weaker stats such as:
-Hell Cutter (CritC% and Atk)
-Draco Plate (CritD% and Crit Defense)
-Strak's Gauntlet (Resistance)
