Builds

Control Bruiser

The first thing to consider when building Eda is since a lot of her skill text specify her to have crit, so it becomes a priority when building her and she can be played as a bruiser who can control and also deal decent chip damage.

Stats

First stat we have to worry about is to hit at least 85% crit on Eda, ideally 100%. With that out the way, we focus on speed next. After speed comes bulk and any dump stat can go to additional DPS.

In terms of Sets speed is basic and immunity is recommended. In absence of immunity, both hit and crit set would be serviceable on Eda.

Artifacts

Abyssal Crown - is probably Eda's best artifact since her playstyle revolves heavily around using souls to refresh her S2 and cycling that with the innate CR. A heavily cycle-able AoE is a perfect recipe for an Abyssal Crown carrier.

Tagehel's Ancient Book - is also a good choice as it allows her to be her own book carrier and also flex the option to have book for another hero, maybe her initiator.

Iela Violin - never hurts anyone, but could be an overkill with her S2 already stripping 1 buff. But it is free and infinitely re-purchasable in Hall of Trials so it's always a nice budget option

Team

Core

This is the type of control comp I can see Eda working in. Have another hero such as Basar initiate while she helps with the control. Tywin can help with that along side being an anti-control pick. Specimen Sez is there to help pick off stunned targets.

Analysis

Overview

Eda is a 5* ice mage who specializes in controlling the flow of battle via CR manipulation and stuns. In an optimal fight, Eda’s playstyle centers around her playing as a fast bruiser to repeatedly pushing back the enemy team with her soul burned S2 while chipping down opponents with solid damage. With the right team, she could be a strong control bruiser that can stop the opponents’ turn timings.

Strengths

2 Way CR Control

Built into Eda’s kit is both CR push for allies on her S3 and a cycle-able CR pushback for enemies on S2. In a long fight, this gives her the unique ability to manipulate CR both ways and really shuffle the turn orders to her team’s advantage.

AoE Stun

Stun is one of the strongest debuffs in the game, being able to deny a turn completely. This combined with her CR boost and ability to push back opponents makes Eda a very strong stall controller.

Spammable AoE buff strip

With enough souls, Eda can quickly cycle her S2, allowing her to strip buffs every turn and to activate artifacts like Abyssal Crown, which can be deadly in PvP content.

Weaknesses

Soulburn Heavy Playstyle

Being soulburn heavy means Eda needs to be paired with soul carriers or farmers (Tagehel’s Ancient Book, Diene), and that she is much less effective in a defense team.

No Buff Strip on S3

Eda has a really strong ultimate on par with A. Tywin and Fairytale Tenebria but she always lacks 1 thing compared to them. She lacks Tywin’s utility and she lacks the buff strip Fairytale Tenebria has, making it necessary for her to play with an immunity stripper or else she risks being locked out of her usefulness.

Tough Meta for Eda

Eda is released very late into a control heavy RTA meta. Around her release, Designer Lilibet is also being released while heroes such as Desert Jewel Basar will be taking a huge buff, making control comps harder to play.
