Analysis

Overview

Lots is a powerful Combat Readiness pusher and an off-healer who focuses on continuous healing over time. He is often compared to fellow Earth Soul Weavers Jecht and Destina, but in reality he occupies a rather different space from either, as he lacks a cleanse (unlike Jecht) and has low direct healing (unlike Destina). Instead, he hands out bonus turns to his allies like candy, and he also applies continuous healing to his allies so that those turns come with free heals. Lots isn't going to be your primary healer, but he's excellent for multiplying the performance of your team by multiplying their turns.

Strengths

So Many Turns

By far the best reason to use Lots is to magic up more turns for the rest of your team. Like his Moonlight counterpart, Auxiliary Lots, Lots is very good at pulling up slower party members so they can get a turn when they need it.

Gear-Independent Healing

All of Lots' healing is based on his allies' maximum HP, rather than on his own stats. The direct healing of his S2 and S3 is percent-based, as is healing done by the continuous healing buff. As such, an undergeared Lots can still keep up with a higher-leveled team, which is good, since Lots is unlikely to be your main healer and therefore may not be your first priority for new resources.

Very Low Cooldowns

Lots' S2 -- you know, the one that gives 100% CR to an ally -- has a mind-boggling 2-turn cooldown (yes, you read that right). His S3, meanwhile, has a 3-turn cooldown at +3 Skill Enhancement. Remember that, in a desperate situation, Lots can also use his S2 on himself to give himself an instant bonus turn and thereby run out his cooldowns in no time at all.

Dual Attack Devotion Aura

Lots is one of the rare characters with a Devotion Aura that increases the frequency of Dual Attacks -- one of the very few ways to increase this chance. While it's still a gamble even at SSS aura, an extra +2.45% per attack is nothing to sneeze at, especially with fast heroes or Artifacts like Infinity Basket and Rosa Hargana in the mix.

Weaknesses

Weak to Unbuffable, Dispel, etc.

Lots' direct healing is very limited. Most of his healing comes from his continuous healing buff, so if he is unable to maintain the buff -- because of Unbuffable, buff dispel, buff stealing, or debuffs like Silence or Stun -- then his healing potential vanishes. This is a big problem, because...

Lacks Additional Utility

While Lots is extremely good at what he does, he really only does two things: CR pushing and continuous healing. He lacks offensive buffs like Auxiliary Lots, any kind of cleanse like Jecht, powerful defenses like barriers or Immunity, or ways to nullify enemy advantages like Rin's buff dispel or Hazel's Unhealable. (His Attack Break is helpful, but rarely game-changing.) The lack of cleanse is a particularly big problem, considering how hard Lots can be shut down by Unbuffable or debuffs like Silence.

Very Slow

Considering all of his CR-increasing abilities, Lots can feel very fast, but his base Spd is actually quite low. This severely hinders his use in PvP, since he needs to take the first turn so he can S2 a slower ally to the front of the turn order.

Bad A.I.

It's a minor point against him, but since the A.I. is bad at comparing the worth of healing versus CR pushing, Lots does terribly on Auto. Obviously this means Lots is bad for auto-running PvE content, but it also means he's not a good choice for an Arena Defense team, which is a bigger problem.

Builds

Lots of Turns

Lots is so slow by default that he is unlikely to outspeed competitively-geared Arena players enough to get the first turn, even when equipped with a Speed set. Common Arena heroes like Tamarinne or Idol's Cheer Angelica are just too fast for him to beat. Furthermore, once Lots gets his first turn, he starts giving himself CR with every action and speeds up considerably.

Considering this, it may be better to gear him towards surviving the first turn and using his S2 as a "free double turn" for your best DPS rather than a "go first and win" button. If a CR-debuffer like Celeste or Lilias or an AOE debuffer like Leo or Dominiel can take the first turn and prevent the enemies from getting off their initial gambit, then Lots can follow up on that momentum and carry your initial lead into a victory.

Do this by prioritizing Lots' HP and Def so he can serve as the backbone of your team. Considering that Ice heroes are usually the powerhouses in Arena, Lots' element gives him an advantage in tanking their attacks. Give him two Health sets and either Defense or Immunity for the last set, and then fill his substats with HP%, Def%, and the usual Spd. If taking Immunity, his last substat can be Effectiveness for when he uses his S1; if not, Effect Resistance is a good idea.

Lots' best Artifact for PvP is probably Magaraha's Tome, which capitalizes on his accelerated turn speed once he gets going. Water's Origin is another good option, since it helps him tank and may even accelerate his first turn if he gets attacked early. If you have no other form of cleanse, you can also consider Wondrous Potion Vial, since Lots should be taking a lot of turns, but in PvP, it's usually better to leave cleansing to other units instead.

Lots of Heals

Lots really shines in long PvE battles, where his incremental healing and CR boosts can snowball over time with great effect. Since taking the first turn doesn't matter as much in PvE as it does in PvP, you don't have to focus too hard on his Spd. As long as he survives long enough to take his first turn, he should be able to take care of himself after that.

Build him tanky with high HP and Def, then add some Effectiveness so his Attack Break can stick when it matters. (Since his S1 has a 75% chance to apply the debuff at +3 Skill Enhance, this should be a pretty reliable source of the ailment.) His last substat should still be Spd, however. He can't forego building Spd completely; his kit just removes some of the pressure for it.

There are multiple Artifacts that really elevate Lots' performance in PvE. Magaraha's Tome and Water's Origin are two of the best for helping him rack up even more turns, especially since Water's Origin also offers some much-appreciated survivability.

On the other hand, the Rod of Amaryllis dramatically increases his healing output -- to the point where he might even be able to solo-heal for some content -- and, considering his quick turn speed, a maxed Wondrous Potion Vial is excellent for passively cleansing ailments from your team.
