Lilias Support
PvP
Due to Melissa’s incredible base Atk stat, she is an excellent teammate for Lilias. Lilias' S3 is an AOE attack that does not use Lilias' Atk stat for its damage, but instead uses the Atk stat of the party member with the highest Atk. When paired with Basar’s buff removal and Tywin’s DEF break, this can set up for a devastating cleave. Melissa should aim for 50% Crit Rate with no Spd investment. Lilias should aim for high Spd/ CDM and tuned to move after Tywin.

Team

This team requires 4 Souls, or two +30 Tagehel’s Ancient Books. If Basar has extremely high Effectiveness, 2 Souls will be fine.
- Basar opens the fight with his S3, stripping all of the enemies buff, preventing them from buffing, and lowering their CR by 30%.
- Tywin follows up with a Soulburned AOE Defense Break from his S3, then buffs Melissa with the Atk/ Crit buff from his S2.
- As long as Melissa has 0 Spd investment, her Combat Readiness will not be pushed ahead of a Spd/ CDM-invested Lilias. Lilias can follow up with her S3 cleave.
- Melissa can then pick off any remaining survivors with her S3 and S2.

Analysis
Overview
Melissa is a Fire-element hero with an extremely high single target damage output. Melissa has the highest raw base Atk in the game. She also has the ability to reliably engage Ice-element enemies because her S3 is not affected by elemental disadvantage. Unfortunately, her unique Curse debuff is PvP-oriented and does not work against bosses. For Arena, Melissa has great synergy setting up Lilias’s S3 due to her incredible base Atk.
Strengths
Very High Base Attack
Melissa is a Leo, which means she has the highest raw base Atk in the game. Ludwig is the only other 5★ mage in the game that is a Leo.
Can Ignore Elemental Disadvantage
Melissa's S3 is unaffected by elemental disadvantage. This allows her to bypass the 50% miss rate most Fire-element heroes experience when going up against Ice-element enemies, so she can reliably set up Curse on these enemies if she wishes.
Extra Turn on S3
Melissa's S3 inflicts Curse on the enemy and also grants Melissa an extra turn if she crits. Melissa is currently the only mage in the game who can get an extra turn on an offensive skill without having to Soulburn. This can be useful in many situations, such as killing Arbiter Vildred after he resurrects.
Curse
Melissa showcases a unique Curse mechanic on her S3. Curse is a debuff that inflicts 40% of all single-target damage to the cursed enemy. Furthermore, when using her S3, she will be granted an extra turn, allowing her to follow up her Curse with her single-target S2 for a massive amount of damage.
Immortality
Melissa's S2 grants her the Immortality buff. As long as Melissa has this buff, she is guaranteed to survive any amount of damage. If you're good at manipulating enemy A.I., you can "trick" enemies into wasting their best attacks on Melissa while she's Immortal, wasting their damage as they try to kill the supposedly squishy mage.
Weaknesses
Curse Does Not Affect Bosses
One of Melissa’s biggest weaknesses is that all bosses are immune to Curse. Her unique ability to Curse enemies only shines in PvP.
Immortality Not A Passive
Unlike Kayron or Sven, Melissa’s Immortality does not passively proc the moment that she takes fatal damage. She must first use the ability in order for Immortality to take effect. If you mistime using the buff, you may end up wasting Melissa's Immortality and not having it later when you need it.
Curse Can Be Cleansed
As a debuff, Curse can be easily removed by Crimson Seed, Wondrous Potion Vial, or any cleansing abilities. It can also be blocked completely by Immunity.
