In general, Lissa will want an IV boon in Attack to increase her damage output. Speed is also a decent choice for a boon as it will help Lissa avoid double attacks. Unfortunately for Lissa, HP, Defense, and Resistance are all superbanes, meaning that taking one is unavoidable unless Speed is the dropped stat (which is generally not recommended).


  • +ATK: Generally Lissa’s best choice of boon. A boon will push Lissa’s Attack from 26 to 30, giving her a much-needed boost in firepower while also slightly increasing the amount of HP she heals teammates for.

  • +SPD: If aiming to make Lissa more of a support oriented healer, then Speed will do more for her bulk than a boon in HP/Def/Res. At 29 Speed with a superboon, Lissa won’t be double attacking enemies anytime soon, but she will be able to avoid double attacks herself from moderately fast units when combined with Speed boosting skills.


  • HP: HP is a superbane that negatively affects both Lissa’s magical and physical bulk. If HP is dropped, one will also have a much harder time being able to run HP based skills such as Infantry Pulse. Generally not recommended as a choice of bane, but if it is all one has, Lissa will definitely still be serviceable.

  • RES: A Resistance bane is not preferred as it will both hinder Lissa’s ability to run Ploy skills and hinder her matchups against mages, the unit type she will be dueling more often.


  • -DEF: Defense is the least offending stat to take a bane in, as Lissa will retain her magical bulk, which will be more useful to her overall than added Defense.

A build designed for our totally not delicate princess to be able to cripple entire enemy teams by taking advantage of AoE skills.

Attack is generally Lissa’s best boon, improving her damage output and very slightly increasing the amount of HP she will be healing teammates for. As Lissa will generally not be dueling physical units, Defense is the preferred bane.

Pain and Gravity are both very potent weapons for Lissa. Lissa will be able to either deal massive amounts of damage to the entire enemy team via Pain or keep the pace of the battle to a more manageable state via Gravity. If utilizing Pain, Lissa’s teammates will often be able to handle the rest of the enemy team as they will be much easier to deal with after being dealt heavy chip damage. The Dazzling effect should be taken on whatever weapon Lissa runs, considering Lissa is running Wrathful Staff as the B slot. Conversely, if Lissa has Dazzling Staff as a B slot, then the Wrathful effect should be taken for the weapon instead.

There are a plethora of choices for the Assist skill, but Recover will generally heal teammates for the highest amount of HP consistently. Rehabilitate is a fine budget option as well, and will actually outperform Recover if Lissa’s teammate is very low on HP. Restore and Physic are great choices as well, although Restore’s effect is a bit more niche, and the ranged healing effect of Physic isn’t necessarily always beneficial.

Miracle is a great choice of Special that will save Lissa in a pinch should she take an otherwise fatal blow. However, it does have a fairly high cooldown of 5. It should be noted that healing teammates also reduces Lissa’s Special cooldown by 1 in addition to attacking and being attacked, so the chances of Miracle coming into play are quite realistic.

Attack +3 is a fine choice for an A slot, increasing Lissa’s damage output as well as increasing the amount of HP she will heal teammates for. Close Counter is another very expensive option that can be taken as well that synergizes very well with Vantage, allowing Lissa to potentially tank attacks and then give the Pain/Gravity effects to the enemy unit attacking and all enemy teammates within 2 spaces. Close Counter is by no means a necessity, however, and should only be taken if one is very dedicated to Lissa or simply has no other use for a spare Takumi or Winter Tharja.

Wrathful Staff should be taken as the B slot assuming the weapon Lissa is using has the Dazzling effect. If Lissa has Dazzling Staff for her B slot available, then the Wrathful effect on her weapon will be taken instead. Vantage is a decent alternative as well considering the Wrathful effect is taken for the weapon over the Dazzling effect, and will allow Lissa to KO units that would potentially KO her instead. Vantage works particularly well when combined with Close Counter. Guard is also another decent choice as well, allow Lissa to reject Special cooldowns to the units she attacks.

Savage Blow is a great choice for the C slot, further adding to the amount of chip damage that Pain will do. Savage Blow isn’t a necessity for this set to work decently though, so a simple team boosting skill such as a Tactic or Hone skill can be taken instead if one prefers.

Savage Blow is also a great choice as a Seal, maximizing the amount of chip damage Lissa can deal when combined with the respective C slot and Pain. Once again, Savage Blow isn’t a pure necessity, and Lissa can easily take an Attack increasing Seal or a team based Seal as well.

A set focused mainly on providing team support and not engaging in fights with other enemies.

Speed is the preferred choice of boon, boosting Lissa’s Speed to 29, which can then be further boosted via A slot and Seal. More Speed will greatly help Lissa’s survivability, as she already has decent defensive stats barring her poor Speed.

All of the staff weapons can be useful, but in particular, Gravity is a great choice that allows Lissa to control the pace of the battle more easily. Slow and Fear are great options as well to debuff the enemy team’s Speed and Attack respectively, and Panic can be useful for those pesky cavalry/dragon/flier/armor emblem teams utilizing class buffs. Whatever weapon one decides to use with Lissa, the Dazzling effect should be taken in order to allow her to safely attack into any unit without fear of retaliation. As this set is focused on support rather than offense, there should not be any need to take the Wrathful effect for Lissa’s weapon.

Like the previous set, almost all of the Assist skills can be useful. Recover will be the most reliable choice, although Lissa’s default Rehabilitate is fine to use.

Speed +3 will boost Lissa’s Speed to 32 considering she has a boon in Speed, greatly improving her survivability.

Wings of Mercy is a great B slot on support healers, allowing them to teleport to any unit that is in critical need of healing. Escape Route is another option that does the reverse, allowing Lissa to teleport away when her own HP is too low. Live to Serve is a good choice of B slot as well, giving Lissa a means of sustain for herself. However, as she should be prioritizing healing teammates over healing herself, Lissa will generally not be making a great use of Live to Serve as she might be with Wings of Mercy.

With a respectable base Resistance stat of 30, Lissa is capable of running a Ploy skill in the C slot fairly effectively. The choice of which Ploy skill to run is essentially up to player preference and needs, although Atk Ploy is nice to mitigate the damage done to Lissa and her teammates. Infantry Rush is also an extremely potent skill that can be run effectively when Lissa is paired with Infantry units. A simple team boosting skill such as Hone Atk can be taken as well, as the choice of C slot here is quite flexible.

When utilizing a Speed boon, Speed +3 in the A slot, and Speed +3 in the Seal slot, Lissa will be sitting at a fairly comfortable 35 Speed, allowing her to avoid double attacks from most units should she get attacked. Live to Serve is also a decent option as a Seal slot as well, although the 3 extra Speed may be the difference between Lissa getting doubled and KO’d and not getting doubled and surviving. Lissa can also use a team boosting skill such as Res Tactic or Hone Spd if needed.


Lissa is an interesting staff user. She has very good bulk when compared to other staff users, but this comes at the cost of having mediocre Attack and Speed. She is very similar to Lachesis in terms of stats, sharing the same HP, Speed, and Resistance as her. However, Lachesis has 6 more base Attack, while Lissa has 6 more Defense instead. This distribution of stats is not quite as efficient as Lachesis’, as the extra Attack will almost always be more useful than more Defense. Luckily, Lissa has a superboon in Attack, allowing her to very slightly overcome this disadvantage by giving her a usable 30 base Attack.

Lissa will be need to merged and paired with other high merged units if brought to Arena in order to compensate for her low BST. However, considering her wide availability allowing for easy merges, Lissa makes a fine choice as a budget healer. Lissa won’t be dealing as much damage as other healers, but she doesn’t necessarily need to in order to be an effective unit. As long as she is able to wield potent weapons such as Pain, Gravity, and Slow, Lissa will definitely be able to find a use in almost any team as a solid healer.


Good bulk

Lissa has very good HP, Defense, and Resistance for a healer. She will very rarely be killed in one hit by units. However, this bulkiness unfortunately comes at the cost of her Attack and Speed.

Common unit, easy to merge

Lissa is available to pull from the colorless pool as a 3* and a 4* unit, making her quite common and available. As such, she will be relatively easy to obtain enough copies of if one wishes to merge her for Arena or waifu purposes.


Poor Speed

Lissa has a poor base Speed stat of 25, essentially offsetting her good defensive stats as she will almost always be getting doubled if she is not fully invested in Speed.

Poor Attack

At only 26, Lissa’s Attack is lower than average even for healers. Luckily for Lissa, she is able to get a superboon in Attack, boosting this up to a serviceable 30.
