Slow Shock Event Clear Guides

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

The major story event Slow Shock picks up the story after Longitudinal Strain, with a few modifications to the traditional GFL event formula.

Viewing the story-only stages will give rewards as well, so do not neglect them!

Farming & Ranking

If you're just here for the Slow Shock farming guide, that will be coming soon, to cover all dedicated farming maps. In the meantime, check out the Limited Drops section if you are unsure who you want to pick up from this event!

Ranking remains Cumulative which means you simply need to farm points to get all your rewards.

Difficulty Slider

Slow Shock keeps the selectable difficulty, with UX, EX and Normal versions of many maps.

New enemies

Cannoneer (Artillery)

Cannoneers will paralyze and target anyone in range, as such it is very important that you keep your tanks in the front column before they get in range. It may look like you can run away from the tilepaints but it actually follows you. HP Shields highly recommended.

artillery

Skill1: (4s ICD, 8s CD) Aim at a random target for 1s, then deal 1x DMG, and reduce RoF and Mov by 50% for 3 seconds. Max 5 stacks. (Damage can be evaded, debuffs cannot.)

Skill2: (8s ICD, 8s CD) Lock onto lowest HP, aim for 2s, then deal 50% linksplash DMG to target and adjacent tiles.

Arachne and Arachne's Clone (Mechanical Spider M and S)

Arachne constantly generate more small ones, and also enrage when they hit 50%, running up and slapping your tank in the face until they die.

The thing to be most wary of with these is that until they enrage, they spawn Clones in such a way that a tank in the middle row cannot grab the attention of ones spawning in the top row, necessitating two tanks.
Due to the large number of enemies being spawned, Armor tanking is the way to go.

spooders

Arachne (Spider M):

Skill1: Normal attacks deal 2 instances of 0.5x DMG. Each attack reduces RoF and Mov by 10% for 5 seconds. Max 5 stacks. (Debuffs cannot be evaded.)

Skill2: (8s ICD, 8s CD) Spawns 2 5x Spooder S with 5% HP, 50% FP, 200% Eva, 100% Acc/RoF.

Skill3: (50% HP) Enters melee mode, dealing 2x DMG per hit, no longer debuffs.

Arachne's Clone (Spider S):

Skill1: On hit, apply -1 DMG for 5s. Max 99 stacks.

Technician (Engineer)

Technicians constantly spawn drones which inherit the Engineer’s DMG. They also shield mechanical units. Similar to Arachne, these just spawn so many units that unless you eliminate them quickly, Armor tanking is the way to go.

engineer

Skill1: Normal attacks deal 0 DMG and grant 1 stack. Max 5 stacks.

Skill2: Consume 5 stacks to spawn a 5x Drone with 6% HP, 50% DMG, 150% Acc/RoF, 200% Eva/Mov.

Skill3: (6s ICD, 6s CD) Grant HP Shields equal to 10% of target’s missing HP to friendly mechanical units for 60s.

Troy (Fortress)

These gigantic mechs are actually HOC support for the enemy. If you fight enemies near one of them, they will shell you like any other support with their Skill2. They also grant damage reduction buffs to allies near them as well as having various annoying attacks.

Skill1: (6s ICD, 8s CD) Do 2 strafing shots down a random column for 1x DMG per hit.

Skill2: (9s ICD, 8s CD) Tilepaint lowest HP Doll's position, after 3s deal 2 instances of 0.5x linksplash DMG.

Skill3: (12s ICD, 8s CD) Reduce damage taken by 50% for surrounding units for 5s.

Ladon

Did you ever feel like being able to kill your enemies was too easy? Did you ever want enemy units with infinite HP Shields that you cannot ever stop from regenerating? Do you want to stare at enemies' health bars never moving? Well congratulations, even if you didn’t want these things, Ladons are here!

These annoying mechs just constantly regenerate HP Shields and then blast your tank with AoEs.

ladon

Skill1: (6s ICD, 8s CD) Deal 1.5x DMG and lock onto closest target and aim for 2s, then deal 1.5x linksplash DMG to target and adjacent horizontal tiles.

Skill2: (8s ICD, 8s CD) Continuously replenish 5% of max HP as HP Shields every second for 5s.

Event Rewards

Slow Shock continues giving out excellent rewards for clearing the event a free True Core Mask for clearing the story, and for those that clear the story on higher difficulties can get a Corrupted Heart Mask, which allows them to received one of the farmable Dolls without the farming! Clearing the event on UX will grant 2 Corrupted Heart Masks in total, allowing Commanders to exchange both the new farmable Dolls.

Clear Rewards

Heavy Ordnance Corps

Heavy Ordnance Corps (HOC) continue to be a requirement for clearing higher difficulties, players should have now had plenty of time to raise them up to higher rarities - with Ranking being balanced around higher rarity HOCs! With plenty of Paradeus enemies in the field, often which chunky force shields to go with them, having HOCs raised is something you should absolutely work on.

HOCs are invaluable to deplete enemy shields, destroy enemy emplacements, and sometimes just for the devastating direct firepower certain HOCs like 2B14 can provide.

For shield-breaking and installation-destroying purposes, Mk-153 is the ideal unit, with an extra unit of range when compared to BGM and AT4. Commanders without all HOCs trained should focus on training Mk-153 before all others. All chapter guides containing HOCs that involve breaking force shields or structures will assume the usage of Mk-153 unless otherwise specified.

Commanders are highly encouraged to read the introduction and guide to HOCs below for the full details about these new units and systems.

Supply Boxes

Supply Boxes can be earned by clearing any event stage.

Other rewards from Supply Boxes include Original and Pure Samples, Tokens, Quick Analysis Contracts, exclusive Furniture, along with at least Dummy Cores, Resources, Universal Parts, Calibration Tickets, and possibly much more not shown in this infographic!

All Commanders can farm 60 Supply Boxes per day easily. As these offer a sizable influx of resources as well as a chance at rare and useful T-Dolls, everyone is encouraged to farm these daily since the returns are very worthwhile for the short amount of time required. The chance at free Shotguns is not one to easily pass up.

Jatimatic

Jatimatic is a strange SMG that reduces damage taken while applying HP Shields to herself, at the cost of removing her Move Speed entirely.

Other Reward T-Dolls

SCARs are incredibly strong, and so is DP-12's new Mod and SPAS-15.

Crate Doll Selector Tickets

New in this Event, there are Crate Selector Tickets available after clearing L4 in Chapter 2 and F15 in Chapter 3 on UX.

Refer to the Core Mask page for notes on who to select, as the Doll selection mostly overlaps.

Limited Drops

The new farmables for this Event are LAMG and VRB. LAMG is an MG that can equip a PEQ as well as spending no ammo while her Skill is active. VRB is another multi-hit AR.

The returning Dolls are M240L, QBZ-191, P290, SAIGA 308, CMR-30 and M327.

As always it is recommended to farm any Doll you need for collection gems.

You can check out the analyses of the new LS T-Dolls as as well as the MOD batch that arrived before the event on the links below.

New Farmable T-Dolls
New Limited T-Dolls
MOD batch
Returning 4 and 5 star T-Dolls

The returning Limited Dolls have three very good Dolls, M240L, QBZ-191 and P290. If you don't have any of these, you should absolutely pick them up.

As with the last few events, Corrupted Heart Masks exist for the new farmable T-Dolls.

Chapter Clear Guides

There are several times where there is no reason not to play UX difficulty due to a lack of combat. As a result, there are not guides for normal on these maps, just play UX and get yourself some extra rewards for free!

Chapter Farm Guides

If you clear the event on UX difficulty you will get 2 Masks that allow you to buy the 2 new farmable dolls without having to farm!

Infinite chapters are back with farm maps, this time with the same enemies for each path and the two maps are essentially the same.

Any SG (preferably 1-link to reduce costs) with Flash Ammo, or M26-Mass together with either Deagle or M4mod2+ will kill everything perfectly fine.

Daily Crate Farm

SPR Composition VI in Chapter 1 works for early crate farms, as do the infinite farming maps unlocked in Chapter 3.

Ranking

SS has two Ranking maps. The two maps are almost identical with the significant difference being that EX is Day and UX is Night. This obviously comes with the Night Penalty as well as not being able to see where enemies are, instead needing to know how to keep track of them.

If you want to try out the Ranking this time around, you should do so on EX. UX is just complete and utter ass. See xVarz' Ranking Notes for more details.

The Ranking maps are unlocked after clearing F3 in Chapter 3.

There are also some additional effects tied to this Ranking.

Fatigue: As an echelon becomes more and more debuffed as they take additional fights in a single turn, forcing you to spread the fights out over all your Echelons to not become entirely crippled and unable to fight until the next turn.

A table displaying Fatigue states for any number of fights. Taking a third fight before the start of the next turn will apply Fatigue 1 during said fight.

Due to tutorial for the Ranking map being somewhat long, abusing the Back button on your device to leave the map immediately and then terminating the map is the fastest method. 43 runs in total for all rewards.

An alternative farming method for Cumulative rewards, which is a bit longer, has you run around collecting some points and get 325k! This even gets you the first Threshold Reward. 12 runs in total will get you all Cumulative rewards.

The new Nurse Fairy is a strange Fairy that can heal the assigned Echelon or other adjacent Echelons. This is somewhat less useful now that v3.02 has added Recovery, but some might find some use for it.

SS Point Event

SS had a Point Event ongoing as part of extra rewards while it was ran on Foreign.

This is a smaller point event with just one tab (rather than the usual 3 unlocking over time), and unlocking everthing is supposed to be as easy as just playing the game during the Major Event.

  • Login for 12 days
  • Complete the two farming maps on each difficulty 3 times each
  • Complete the final map on Normal/EX/UX
  • Reach 1.2m cumulative Ranking points
  • Rescue 100 Dolls
  • Skill train 10 times
  • Win 100 battles with S-rank
  • Spend 500 CRs
  • Spend 500 Disks
  • Spend 50 Sim Energy
  • Spend 50 Coalition Drill Energy
  • Spend 30k Ammo

All this (apart from the CRs/Disks) should happen naturally while clearing the event and farming boxes.

The Point Event will start in January, most likely after the current Point Event ends... which means it will likely keep going after SS ends for another week.

General Rate-Up

Wow, this is part of the Major Event now! Amazing.

Enjoy overlapping things everywhere.

Tareus Banner

Oh yeah this is also overlapping. After Mica EN said she would arrive after SS. Brilliant.
