Blood Blade Bruiser
PvP
Building Blood Blade Karin is a careful balancing act between making her just tanky enough to survive and then pouring the rest of her build into damage. A common mistake is building her with lifesteal. While this may seem necessary early on, after Molagora investment, Blood Blade Karin should have all the lifesteal she needs from her S1. It's much more efficient to build her for damage.
That being said, how exactly should you "build her for damage"? She's naturally pretty quick and her Spd is increased by her passive, so she doesn't need a Speed set. Attack is tempting, because it can be boosted to insane levels by her passive, but the issue is that her passive isn't going to be firing at all cylinders for every turn of a battle. A more reliable choice is Destruction. Pair Destruction and Critical sets with her passive and watch those big orange numbers come rolling in.
For helping her stay alive, it's nice to get some Defense on her substats. Blood Blade Karin has pretty high HP by default but very low Defense, and her S3 will shave off 20% of her max HP every time it's used. This isn't as necessary as increasing her damage, but it's important to remember if your Blood Blade keeps being nuked in PvP.

Team

This is an extremely high-level team, but it's one that works beautifully for Blood Blade Karin. Crimson Armin's invincibility helps Blood Blade Karin maintain a low health percentage, and Kitty Clarissa can pull her into Dual Attacks to get that extra bit of lifesteal when she needs it. And Bellona, of course, is Bellona, shredding the enemy with Defense Break so Blood Blade Karin can strike at maximum power.

This is a gimmicky but comparatively easier-to-build way to use Blood Blade Karin in PvP. Blood Blade Karin is the star of the show, with the rest of the team working together to give her as many turns as possible.
- Righteous Thief Roozid should be built for pure Spd to outspeed the enemy. His S3 pulls the rest of the team ahead as well by giving them all CR and bonus Spd.
- Rose should be built to go next, so that she can S3 as well, cementing Blood Blade Karin's CR and also increasing her Atk.
- Blood Blade Karin should be built to go next, so she can deliver a buffed S3 and annihilate the enemy team. If she kills at least once, she gets another turn and can S1 the most dangerous survivor, incidentally recovering the damage she dealt to herself off her S3.
- Ideally, General Purrgis goes last and pulls out his S3, hopefully stunning whatever managed to survive Blood Blade Karin's assault. This should buy you enough time for Blood Blade Karin to S1 down at least one more target (especially with more CR from Rose's S2) before the enemy even gets a chance to move.
Note that outspeeding the enemy team and the order in which this team acts is extremely important. Pay close attention to your Speed stats in order to get the most bang for your buck here.

Analysis
Overview
Blood Blade Karin is an interesting unit who can be built in two polar opposite directions: reliable and survivable, or gambling for huge damage numbers. It all hinges on her S2 passive, which increases her Atk, Def, and Spd as her HP falls. If she's built for reliability, she can take multiple hits, fall to low HP, strike with her lifestealing S1, and heal all the damage back instantly with her increased Atk power. On the other hand, if she's built for the gamble, she can lash out with her AOE S3, turning that increased Atk into staggering amounts of damage.
Strengths
High DPS
This is the most obvious reason to use Blood Blade Karin: her damage potential is insane. When built properly and low on health, she hits like a semi.
Potential for Survivability
Less obvious is Blood Blade Karin's ability to keep herself alive. Considering that she gets stronger when she's low on HP and her S3 damages her when used, it's easy to think of Blood Blade Karin as a glass cannon. However, because she can heal herself with her S1 and her Spd also goes up when her HP drops, she can take a huge chunk of damage and then outspeed the rest of the field and heal herself. She's not going to replace a frontline tank, but if used well, she's not going to drop dead in a stiff breeze either.
Widely Usable
Blood Blade Karin is a one-trick pony, but since that one trick is "Kill everything really fast," she's much less niche than she might sound. Being Dark-element, she never suffers miss chance from elemental disadvantage, so she can bring her A-game to just about any content: farming, boss-killing, PvP, Guild Wars, you name it.
Has No Debuffs
In some cases, you actually don't want to be using debuffs on your enemy. Multiple floors of the Abyss have bosses that react poorly to debuffs, characters like Gloomyrain can turn debuffs back on you, and the Raid boss Juleeve Council doesn't take kindly to them either. Since Blood Blade Karin does nothing but high damage, she's ideal for these situations.
Weaknesses
Lacks Utility
Sometimes not having debuffs is a blessing, but sometimes it can also be a big problem. Often, debuffs are the most important part of winning a fight (Wyvern 11 for example), and Blood Blade Karin has none to offer. She also lacks any kind of buffs or team support that can help other characters shine. If the other three characters on your team aren't able to make up for Blood Blade Karin's lack of utility, you're going to feel that lack harshly.
Requires Heavy Investment
Blood Blade Karin does not work for cheap. She demands very good gear and lots of Molagora enhancement in order to maximize her passive and survive the hits that she needs to take in order to reach her full potential, and she also demands versatile teammates who can cover all of the support areas that she cannot. An undergeared Blood Blade Karin feels, at best, like a poor man's Vildred, and at worst like a complete waste of a space.
