Counter Puncher
PvP
Fighter Maya has decent damage potential thank to her high defense scaling. Equipped with a counter set and the Elbris Ritual Sword artifact, she can become a potent threat, especially against enemy heroes that use AOE attacks. Her normal skill, Strike of Provocation, synergizes particularly well with counterattacks because of her 50% chance to provoke, allowing her to disrupt the enemy's offense.

Analysis
Overview
Fighter Maya is one of the most durable tanks in the game, with high defensive stats and a unique passive ability that both cleanses and grants her defense buffs whenever attacked. She excels in soaking up repeated attacks from enemies, and because of her light element typing, she can be used in PvP to bait out hard-hitting dark element heroes. She is commonly recognized for having a uniquely satisfying Finishing Attack animation.
Strengths
Extremely durable tank
Fighter Maya has high base HP and Def stats, in addition to a passive ability that grants herself a 2-turn defense buff whenever she is attacked. This makes her one of the most durable frontline tanks, with very few direct counters.
Doesn’t fear debuffs
Her passive ability, Reclaim, gives Fighter Maya an 80% chance (100% when fully enhanced) to dispel one debuff immediately after she is attacked. This makes it extremely difficult for enemies to stick debuffs on her, such as defense breaks, unless they use non-attack skills or cast multiple debuffs at once.
High defense scaling
Fighter Maya’s damage scales well with her Defense stat, even more so than her Attack. This makes Fighter Maya relatively straightforward to build, as heavily investing in her Defense will result in both high damage and high survivability.
Great PvP answer to enemy dark DPS heroes
In Arena and Guild Wars, Fighter Maya’s light element typing can be used to bait enemy dark heroes into automatically attacking her, instead of the rest of your team. This makes Fighter Maya a strategic PvP pick against enemy team compositions revolving around common dark element threats such as Commander Lorina, Challenger Dominiel, Assassin Cartuja, and Martial Artist Ken.
Weaknesses
Vulnerable to the enemy’s first attack
Because Fighter Maya’s self-applied defense buff only procs after she has been attacked, she can be relatively vulnerable to first-turn nukes. Nevertheless, in most cases her high HP and Defense is sufficient to keep her alive long enough to be healed, even without her defense buff.
Lack of team utility
Unlike most knights in the game, Fighter Maya’s kit lacks team-wide utility, such as granting allies defense buffs, cleanses, or combat readiness bonuses. This makes Fighter Maya less effective in PvE and PvP defense, where the enemy is more likely to simply ignore Fighter Maya and focus on the rest of your team.
Strict conditions for unleashing her nuke potential
Despite the huge damage potential from Finishing Attack, it can only be used effectively when the enemy is below 30% health. This makes Fighter Maya a slow starter in PvP, where it’s often advantageous for heroes to unleash their strongest nukes on the first turn.
